I think this defense is finally figuring out how to shut down the running game and at good timing too because we just had 2 star rb join the division. Tasker made a very good point on radio last night (i know, it does not happen) That ILB position is interchangeable that 2 olb can be on the field at once with no true MLB. typical 4-2-5 is about stopping the pass not the run. We started that game with the Tampa 1 Defense with the 1 safety down low. Then a couple plays we went to a 4-3 to stop the run and then on obvious passing downs... here is where it got interesting... They played Hyde/Poyer/Hamlin with Williams and Milano(Hamlin made a play here) and then they flipped to typical cover 2 with one of the MLB and Milano on a 3rd and long. Someone said that the Bills were going to play a vanilla defense? well that was anything but. McD needs to try many different formations out to see how we handle things. I mean hell. I saw 8 in the box and they brought 6 and then I saw 8 in the box and they just brought the front 4. There was a play that was horribly missed by many. Dorian went back to coverage, Covered the slot guy, then when the slot guy went to the next tier, Dorian released and covered the flat perfectly. I am telling you... There are sneaky ways to go about this... do NOT sleep on Dorian Williams.. Just because the dude is not a true MLB that everyone hoped at draft and just because he is marked an OLB does NOT mean he wont see ample time on the field this year.

Yea i mean. Against good defensive lines? I think he will do a great job chipping then going out to a rout. For a guy that was told he could not block well? seemed to do a damn good job.. hes not going to push like an ol'men but for the plays at hand? he did great!

Elam shined when it was bump and run and when asked to take on someone at the los, he did very well. I think he pinched on a HB very well to, Dane and that INT might of locked it up for him but for me, Elam still shows lots of promise. MLB SMH i dont even know where to start. And did Barkley just take over the #2 QB? That was rough. I do think Kyle just lost his #2 spot... And I think we should consider bringing in another backup for maybe a 6th rounder just to have a look at another player... Cook looked fantastic! had another running play called back on a hold I think it was but yea... Cook looked uh.. scarry. Shakir might be a lost cause if he cant cure the dropsies... fast.

I suggested we sign Edmunds in the beginning of his 5th year and said "If he has a great year we wont afford him" and I got roasted for it. Now that Gabe is in his 5th year... if he lights it up like Edmunds we wont afford him. and next off season we will be crying about #2 WR with an Aging #1 WR and wondering what should we do. Fortunate for us... WR's go deep in the draft normally. So I think we will be in the hole next year with no Gabe and an aging Diggs and have to get a WR in round one and pray he is good and our future. it is what it is

Wrong.. The key to any season on offense is BALANCE. Just enough run to keep them thinking. Just enough pass block for our receivers to get open. Talented enough WR to get the job done. We did not have any balance last year.. it was just JA constantly running out of trouble and winging it. Its different now with the talent we have at WR/TE and the line. This might be in total the most complete offense Since JA has been with us.. and that should excite many of us. does me.

yea um.. I disagree with you on this one.. Some WR's take time to shine in this league. Many WR are late blossoms. Last year with Miami, he had over 400 yards and that was BEHIND The best WR duo in the league. He had 30 receptions last year 400 yards. Every new WR from another team that has joined us has had a better career because of the dude named Josh Allen. The dude has come to camp and I have been live to see it in person a few times... The guy is Balling. Cant tell me this guy cant consistently get 400 yards a year under Allen. No one is asking this dude to be even in Gabe Davis shoes.. But this guy can run... he can do one thing we have not had a guy that we have not had on this roster since JA was drafted. a 50/50 catcher that catches in 65% on those type of plays. There is just a different feel about this guy. To early to jump a gun but if he balls like this in preseason... heh... look out.

IF they think he is good enough, they would have moved him up with the 1's for a while just to see. That never happened and the fact that he's with 2's and 3's speaks volumes on its own. That is the significant part of the whole thing.. I would hope we all trust where the coaches are playing him is significant in itself. What has Torrence done significant? Nothing other than play with the starters... or has the coaches seen enough on him that, that is where he belongs?
