For the most part, not being able to stop the run last year really didn't hurt us all that badly.........yeah, we gave away the Ravens game in the first match-up and assembled all of our resources the 2nd time we played and stopped Henry, but other than that, there really wasn't too many times where we were steam rolled into submission through anyone's run game. As limited in talent as our D was and as much as we all yelled at our tv's to stop teams from running on us, we did an adequate job with what we had to work with. Defending the passing game is another story, however. We always seem to give 10-15 yards cushions, play soft and seem to let teams dink and dunk all over us all over the field........the passing game is where i see where the problem lies IMO.

So, i remember around that time, i was working out of town on a big project back in the city.......i twisted my body the wrong way, got all dizzy and went down for the count. When i finally revived myself and tried to stand up, the whole left side of my body was completely paralyzed and i thought i was having a stroke. I drove myself to the hospital (quite a chore in that state) ........and they informed me that my neck was partially broken, so i had immediate CAT scans, X-rays and an MRI. Yep, neck was partially broken and probably due to degenerative spine and disc, however, the only way to fix it would be to have surgery which was about 3 months out yet. So, because i couldn't work or even move at that point, i applied for short term disability through my union hall, which was partially subsidized through the government. There was no problem with my union hall, however, the government came back and said it's a symptom of Covid and for the record, it is not......and i had a fight on my hands for them to pay their part. My doctor, my union hall, the hospital, etc. all wrote legal documents to the government to say that it was a partially broken neck and NOT a symptom of Covid and the government finally relented and paid. If there is only but thing i remember about that time, it is that i was laid up in a lot of pain for 3 months waiting to have this surgery........and i can honestly say that it was the worst time of my life and i wouldn't wish that upon anyone.

Not sure what the hell Cananda is, but if you're referring to my beautiful country, how dare you assume that he is good enough for the CFL. Honestly, i think the Bills are the only team in the league that would ever give this guy a roster spot.

I've been thinking the same thing........let's see how the draft pans out for RB's before committing to Cook. That is some smart thinking by Beane right there.

I have a feeling our D will be leaning towards even more of a hybrid.

I do sort of like it, however, i was judging the mood of the room here first.

You see, this signing moves the needle for me.........the Bosa signing?!?........meh, not so much.

So, i'm actually okay with this signing. I looked at it yesterday when the news broke and was like UGH, but the more time i've actually watched his highlights a couple of things stand out that i'm digging...... * He's young * Has the ability to separate * Seems to know the route tree * Seems to know where to go in broken coverage and soft D's * Fairly reliable hands * Athletic Would he have been my first choice, probably not.......but if used properly, i think he could flourish in our system.
