10/15/23 Week #6 SNF GAMEDAY Bills vs Giants Pregame Thread
freddyjj replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Or David Edwards as he was a TE when recruited at Wisconsin. Would help in run game and play action protection schemes -
Is a Healthy Von Miller an Option to Replace Milano?
freddyjj replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
No he plays 4-3 DE and has for 80% of his career -
Only info I could find shows we use 11 personnel on 40% of first downs and 12 personnel on 41% of first downs. Curious how effective we are as Run 36% of downs and pass on 64% of downs. Will look for run stats and pass stats from those 2 personnel groupings.

Our next opponent….The NY Football Giants
freddyjj replied to Walking Tall's topic in The Stadium Wall
yes this year the NY Football Giants drew the AFC East instead of the AFC South (Giants went 4-0 against in 2022). And in the NFC they drew NFC West this year vs NFC North (2-2 vs last year). They had some big early wins last year vs GB and BAL -
Don't see it happening.

Huh? Two strong side linebackers and Klein at WILL LB. Since when do Bills play a 4-3 as base D? and where does Taron Johnson figure in your new scheme?

Taylor Rapp: Have we found our future Poyer replacement?
freddyjj replied to Sammy Watkins' Rib's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree with you here. Elam's issues and Tre's injury make moving Benford to S next year unlikely so a S in first 3 rounds almost a given. Rapp was never Poyer's or Hyde's equal in coverage. The value of Hyde and Poyer were they were low cost FAs when initially brought in who served as interchangeable parts in coverage for their first 5 years. Injuries and age have taken their toll last year and so far this year. Can see this offseason as when OBD moves on from one or both and I personally don't see Rapp as a long term answer for either. -
Taylor Rapp: Have we found our future Poyer replacement?

Watch the long Achane run as Rapp overran play, then had to dive and missed tackle. Also bad play on Waddle catch on sideline as late getting over. -
Chandler Jones? Kick the tires at the trade deadline?
freddyjj replied to TampaBillsJunkie's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills offered Jones 120 mm reasons they couldn't sign him then offered Von $120mm. Voila! -
Chandler Jones? Kick the tires at the trade deadline?
freddyjj replied to TampaBillsJunkie's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wow, just wow. Guess he’d look good in all white - like a straight jacket. Before we even mention the capology being too difficult. So let’s just hope he gets the help he needs before he harms himself or someone else. -
He was interviews and said he went to camp at 268 and was targeting playing weight of 265 this year. Agreed not thick. It also maintain there are no 265 LBs in league anymore

Big Baller Bass - AFC Special Teams Player of the Month
freddyjj replied to The Wiz's topic in The Stadium Wall
I believe that our advantage at kicker and STs might factor into Sunday's game. Fins kicker is only 4/6 for FGs with one block and is 16/17 for XPs. And the Fins gave up a 99 yd KO return to Broncos. -
265 current weight - not too many LBs that big. Levon Kirkland retired a while ago!

A Few Thoughts from the Commanders Game.....in no particular order
freddyjj replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
https://www.buffalobills.com/video/bills-at-commanders-game-highlights-week-3 @Virgil too In the replay, Shaq Lawson forced a dead duck throw and Curtis Samuel was the intended target. -
Wow Watson received 100 percent guaranteed $230mm!? This to a guy most folks wouldn't leave alone with their wife, kids or dog. Well Browns fans, you get what you pay for! BTW heartbreaking to see an All-Pro RB and good guy like Nick Chubb go down with a brutal injury.

Funny that a person with so many addictions died in a Marriott hotel. The Mormons would not have approved.
-
Last time Bills had an RB run for over 100 yds and have over 35 yds receiving In a game was LeSean McCoy vs Jets in 2017 opener. He ran for 110 and had 45 receiving. So Cook's 123 Rushing and 36 in catches is the best in 6 years by any Bills RB.

Willing lyrics. give me weed, whites and wine….. and I’d be willin’ This dude got the recipe wrong so hope the dare bet was worth it.

No. And last Bill to rush for more in a game was Josh Allen versus Miami in 2018 when he had 9 rushes for 135 yds
