  1. They're obviously struggling into the wind here.
  2. Davis was held. That's exactly where that throw is supposed to go.
  3. It's because they can't run block so teams flood the back end there, which means it takes longer for guys to get open.
  4. Baltimore is way scarier if they get Jackson back
  5. Yes because getting 4th and 9 is very unlikely. It's not decision-bot hard there.
  6. That's a rough pass interference call. I don't know what that defender is supposed to do.
  7. ., With Lamar there's not really a decision here. Baltimore would be silly not to pick him up, especially after this year when he showed he can still win them games with several pieces missing. The wheels didn't really come off until Jackson got hurt. I would look to get them somewhere in the neighborhood of the 5-year 200 million extension on top of his fifth year option and it works out to like 6/223 with a lot of the guaranteed money on the front end of that. It's unconventional and Lamar Jackson probably isn't going to play until he's 45, but it's a no-brainer if you do a contract I get some somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 and then you reevaluate. I'm with @Gunnerbill on Mayfield. This year is really a hard year to judge him or anybody on the browns because they've had so much injury. Mayfield will play on the option.
  8. It's halftime and they get a chance at 3 if he completes it.
  9. That was a coverage sack and that tight end wasn't open.
  10. I'm okay with Allen throwing that one to Diggs. It's one on one and you give him a chance.
  11. Allen has to be better. The picks are on bad decisions he doesn't need to make.
  12. The Falcons are doing a good job against the misdirection Buffalo likes in the red zone. Allen forcing that one though. That's a play where he should throw it away.
  13. That safety is a product of Stevenson not calling for a fair catch. The number one job of the PR is to secure possession.
  14. Book really can't play. He's really got to step up into the pocket so the Saints can protect.
  15. It was more a bit of sea change in philosophy that didn't leave the linemen out to dry. Instead of more max protect to give plays more time to develop, they used checkdowns and got the ball out quickly very early to neutralize the complicated pressure looks. It's as simple as the running back goes to where the pressure comes from and gets the ball in space. The first 2 drives were filled with Singletary catches and runs, a jet sweep, a moss catch a gilliam catch and even Diggs caught one out of the backfield. It opens the intermediate passing game up later because the Patriots adjusted to cover the shorter places and Mackenzie started beating his man.
  16. Completely agree. I liked the scheme change to getting the running backs to the middle to catch checkdowns against the blitz instead of keeping them into block and liked Josh Allen taking those early and quick. The name of the game is efficiency.
  17. Baker hasn't been good, but that was blatant pass interference.
