  1. It was more a bit of sea change in philosophy that didn't leave the linemen out to dry. Instead of more max protect to give plays more time to develop, they used checkdowns and got the ball out quickly very early to neutralize the complicated pressure looks. It's as simple as the running back goes to where the pressure comes from and gets the ball in space. The first 2 drives were filled with Singletary catches and runs, a jet sweep, a moss catch a gilliam catch and even Diggs caught one out of the backfield. It opens the intermediate passing game up later because the Patriots adjusted to cover the shorter places and Mackenzie started beating his man.
  2. Completely agree. I liked the scheme change to getting the running backs to the middle to catch checkdowns against the blitz instead of keeping them into block and liked Josh Allen taking those early and quick. The name of the game is efficiency.
  3. Baker hasn't been good, but that was blatant pass interference.
  4. Missed pass interference in the Seattle game there.
  5. Fields giving players a chance there.
  6. The issue all year is that the line hasn't been healthy with any sort of consistency. there isn't a backup at every position. That TD run is a lot more like last seasons Red Zone game with the cross action and misdirection.
  7. That was an insanely creative trick by KC to get the receiver wide open and the entire idea is to rush that.
  8. Ball has to get out faster against that blitz. There's more coming than blockers
  9. How do they miss the Offside there though?
  10. Josh has to throw to the hot read. They creeped up and someone should be open there 6 on 5
  11. Literally can't put Brieda back in this one.
  12. Heinecke taking the checkdowns every time here.
  13. I didn't think that hit the ground but the whole point of clear and obvious is to go with the field cal when you can't see it.
  14. 3rd and short was an RPO and Allen threw into a one on one matchup for Diggs. You read the developing play and make a decision and it was a pretty good throw.
  15. Up 18 you don't go for this.
  16. Probably an illegal contact or defensive hold at the top of Diggs' route, but the officials aren't calling that today.
  17. The returner is all about security. As long as he doesn't fumble I don't care if he runs them back or not.
  18. But why is Jacksonville trading a highly paid offensive lineman they just extended when they're trying to develop and protect Lawrence?
  19. I think the defense plays badly when they decide to blitz and overplay the run. Klein really can't cover and doesn't do anything when he's not blitzing. The health of the offensive line is also breaking the team. Offense is 15 ppg when Brown doesn't play because Williams moves to tackle and it essentially makes 3 new starters with Feliciano out (and one of them is Ford, who the team also knows can't really play). The group without Brown doesn't recognize blitzes and doesn't protect consistently like the group with Dawkins Ike Morse Williams Brown does. The line is due for a revamp but nobody was complaining about retaining everyone in the off-season.
  20. That call sucks and they should go for that.
  21. I think that's incomplete but no idea if they'll overturn it.
  22. That int was basically a punt, but that was a good drive until penalties. These line injuries are killers.
