NFL Network Top 100 Players - total snub?
Stank_Nasty replied to Charles Romes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
oh. i'm not saying its perfect. some players don't have a pulse of whats going on around the league at all. but I think its interesting to see a players only vote. its not like this is some sort of media hype machine. …. that being said. white and hyde are deserving. -
NFL Network Top 100 Players - total snub?

I’m surprised so many people in this thread don’t understand that it’s not the media or NFL network making the list and that it’s actually the players that are voting on this. -

Non-Bills: Arians gets the best out of Winston and the Bucs sneak into a wildcard Bills: 4 bills defenders make the pro bowl. As the team wins games people will take notice of that side of the ball. -

Le’Veon Bell Signinig With the Jets
Stank_Nasty replied to sven233's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Which is why I don’t do it often and went on to say I didn’t do enough research to talk about normal fluctuations. But i think we can both agree that’s large.... Nevermind. We probably can’t. Anyways.... i also knew of conner quite a bit as well. He played highschool ball 15 min from me. I’m with you on how good he was and can be. Had he not gotten sick he an opportunity to be drafted as high as the early 2nd I would guess. This doesnt discount the guy was relatively green/raw and came in to produce like a top 5 back.... just like deangelo Williams did at 32.... and just like jaylen samuels did as a rookie when conner missed time. Isnt it universally regarded the Jets didn’t have a good line? I mean people are coming with names and numbers and all you have to say is.... Crowell.... 4.8. Geez man This is honestly sort of a dumb argument though. I’m done with it I suppose. I think he’ll be good there. But he won’t be Pittsburgh good and he won’t fair well if he doesn’t change his style a bit. There a handful of lines in the NFL that his pitter pattering behind the line would work with. -
Le’Veon Bell Signinig With the Jets

very misleading beings that the dude had one game where he popped off 15 for 219.... 6 of the 13 games he played he had less than 3 ypc…. that's a drastic shift. while i havnt done enough research, i would argue its more than the norm. and the bottom line from my post is that basically any runner the steelers has inserted has come in and posted very good numbers. i do agree that the jets shouldn't be dismissed... IMO either them or the bills get hot and compete for the division. i think its a good chance one of the 2 makes a wildcard. maybe us, maybe them. not both, but one of the two. i couldn't tell you which. -
Le’Veon Bell Signinig With the Jets
Stank_Nasty replied to sven233's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
same line resurrected DeAngelo Williams career back in 15. Williams had 900 yds at 4.5 a carry in just 10 starts the year bell missed 10 games. keep in mind Williams was 32 and had averaged just 3.5 ypc the year before in carolina... lets not forget after conner was lighting it up and got hurt the rookie, samuels, came in and ran for 130+ in a game behind said line..... how many more examples does there need to be? i cant believe anyone that had been close to bell and watched that team over the last 3 years had advised him to sit out. myself and a couple of very close friends that are die hard "stiller" fans said all offseason conner would fill in and most likely produce failry close to bell. bell is a very good overall rb…. but IMO if he doesn't change his style a bit its not gonna work behind a significantly worse line. -
https://www.espn.com/nfl/insider/story/_/id/27236248/the-nfl-top-25-prospects-young-players-break-2019 …. So this is basically a list of low profile draft or undrafted finds that didn't get a ton of burn on the field last year but look poised to breakout based on the limited time on the field. Pretty fair assessments of each guy IMO. 16. Levi Wallace, CB, Buffalo Bills Age: 24 | Draft: Undrafted in 2018 Defensive snaps in 2018: 415 An interesting player because of his background, Wallace somehow managed to not draw enough attention to get drafted. Imagine somebody dominant at football. Now imagine that they're dominant at football on the highest stage of college football. They get invited to all-star games, play well at them, and ... nothing. That's what happened to Wallace after leading the SEC in pass breakups and interceptions at Alabama. Scouts criticized his 6-foot frame and were not thrilled with his 4.63 40-yard dash at the combine. Wallace, a former walk-on, also didn't start at Alabama until his senior season. In his first season with the Bills, injuries put Wallace into the lineup and he performed well, breaking up three passes and allowing just 4.6 yards per pass. To be fair to scouts, they did say he'd struggle with stronger, taller NFL wideouts because of his frame. Wallace did not face many of them. His only game against top-notch competition was when Buffalo went to New England in Week 16. The best receiver he played against was Kenny Golladay, and Golladay torched him on a broken play. The rest of the schedule he defended against was full of players like Keelan Cole, Donte Moncrief and that type of receiver. That doesn't mean that Wallace can't be an effective corner -- he showed he could be one, and his background is intriguing. But the lack of top-tier athleticism and the weak schedule could be something that indicates how well he performed was a bit of a fluke. Either way, the instincts should keep Wallace as a capable NFL player. 20. Taron Johnson, CB, Buffalo Bills Age: 22 | Draft: Fourth-round pick in 2018 Defensive snaps in 2018: 405 Slot cornerback is not a position where the results have a strong year-to-year correlation. Kendall Fuller, for example, was one of the best slots in the business in 2017, and in 2018, after being a big part of the Alex Smith trade, he dropped to 47th among qualifying corners in success rate. But it's worth recognizing how great Johnson was for the Bills last season. Johnson finished with a 67% success rate on his 24 targets. He picked off Marcus Mariota and sacked Aaron Rodgers. Johnson is a pure slot cornerback, checking in at 5-11, 192 pounds at the NFL combine. Coming out of tiny Weber State, where he starred starting as a true freshman, Johnson plays bigger than his size in the running game. He isn't afraid to get physical and in fact can often get downright grabby in coverage. There's not a lot of upside in Johnson -- he already is all that he can be -- but good slot cornerbacks are valuable in the current NFL. Coming into this year, Johnson appears to be the favorite for slot snaps and Buffalo has only signed old or injury-prone depth at corner, so he should get a chance to demonstrate his talent again.

Baldy's Breakdown (Tremaine Edmunds)
Stank_Nasty replied to Buffalo716's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Oliver is as advertised I think his presence ensures Hughes gets home 3 or 4 more times this year. Im cautiously optimistic we finally see another double digit sack season out of Jerry. -
we have 2 days coming up starting tomorrow forecast for low to mid 90's.....there will be beers and there will be some sort of body of water(probably just the kids slip n' slide) and i will soak up every last drop of that heat. ? the only exception here is that i absolutely love a crisp dry snow day at the ralph...….. but i love getting sun burnt there in September more. LOL.

nah. i'll take a film of sweat on me at all times over one single winter day. i worked outdoors for my dads family construction business for 8 years right out of school and i would take baking on a roof any day of the week over trying to work outdoors in the cold. there is nothing more physically and mentally draining than working out in freezing temps. so being in northwest PA and dealing with the long lake effect winters, you will NEVER see me complain about the heat..... but like you said. personal preference. so i wont judge you..... just like i wouldn't judge somebody based off what they dip their wings in(ranch ALL DAY)……. ?

what about different seasons? some things just go down better in the summer. 100% agree here.... always a bittersweet time of year coming up. i'm just completely AMPED for the season to start but also sad to feel summer slipping away.... i'd suspect I wouldn't be so torn if I didn't live in the Lake effect butthole of America here in Erie, PA.....

Snow Game - Bills Colts 2017 - 2pt Conversion
Stank_Nasty replied to BillsM@fia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don’t really care about their opportunities after in this discussion. It was a bad call. That’s like saying the blatant Robey PI non-call last year wasn’t a big deal because the saints had opportunity after. Im not a big believer in makeup calls or other theories. Game moves to quick for that. It was a bad call. Snow may have been a factor. Like I said before, oh well, we’ve gotten way more bad breaks than good ones over the last 20 years. -

Is having a #1 WR that important or just good to have?
Stank_Nasty replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The saints Michael Thomas has absolutely been elite the last 2 seasons. And it’s no coincidence they’ll also had absurdly good teams. He and kamara gave that offense another gear. It’s taken freak occurrences to keep them from the title game. Also Julio Jones was absolutely one of the main reasons the falcons marched to the Super Bowl in 16. He had a phenomenal playoff run and A phenomenal catch in the Super Bowl that all gets overshadowed due to AWFUL field position awareness and clock management by the coaching staff. Teams can win without and elite #1 but there are plenty of examples of teams with top tier wr’s helping them to a title or right to the cusp.
