there were plenty of weeks I felt confident watching them and just wished the offense would show up.

my point i'm trying to make is that I don't think our run defense is nearly as bad as it would need to be to just give an rb the rock all game and ride him to a win.... 9th in yards per carry(a nice ranking) and 16th(middle of the road) in yds allowed sorta shows they stopped it plenty. there were about 2 or 3 games they had let downs last year. the rest they were more than stellar. not to mention the seemed improvement of our freak athlete at MLB and a healthy Milano, who didn't happen to be present for the NE run defense debacle... you wouldn't welcome a one dimensional running based gameplan? I would. I hope they come in with that sort of philosophy. also my response was directly mainly at rockets comment that we need to show we wont be run over like last year..... that happened like twice. i'm not worried about it.

the bills run defense was 16th in yds allowed and 9th in yards per carry.... its like people watched the 2 worst run games of the year last year and are all of a sudden its this HUGE issue. I don't get it at all.

you didn't mention how he played lately. that's the point.... just mentioning what he's done in his career doesn't paint the whole picture.... he hasn't played anything like a top 10 kicker since the jets cheap shot and that includes this preseason. hopefully its the holder issue. I would guess by the extension that's what the bills FO is banking on.

and i'm all for that as well. but please don't state overall career stats and act like they paint a picture of how he's played LATELY..... its not an accurate portrayal.

spoiled fan base that's had 2 decades of great qb play now and the minute things get dicey they turn on the team..... gutless.

this is all awesome.... but ignoring the fact that he has been inaccurate this preseason and it dates back to the end of last season is just sorta foolish IMO. i'm all for giving him another year but lets not act like he's been trending in the right direction or even nearly as good as his first year in buffalo.
