  1. How on earth would anyone be able to answer that after 3 games? If anyone thinks they know the answer this early then that’s pretty silly.
  2. after 3 games this is where you are at??? geez, man. 3 games in which he's been solid. not even bad. man, I've seen a ton of posts from you and they are all pretty level headed...… until Ed Oliver is the topic.
  3. I think its already changed the outcome of plays and drives.... so it may be a help for sure.
  4. well that's a bit naïve.... they aren't some "end all be all", they have their place
  5. this.... he's I've noticed the pocket collapsing a handful of times due to Ed.
  6. there was a play he pushed an interior lineman straight back into Dalton altering the throw on sunday. I would call that a win without touching the qb…. I don't get your deal with this dude. there's this stat and the fact that he's gotten the most snaps of any interior lineman on the team and they are top ten in rush yds allowed. I suppose it could be coincidence, but I doubt it.... the guy has done well. period.
  7. I posted this earlier in another thread. and didn't get much response... hopefully its gets its due praise in here. Oliver hasn't gotten "home" yet but he's altered plenty of pockets and throws so far. Oliver collapsing the pocket could mean everything this week
  8. well that was a kick in the nuts.
  9. I really didn't feel like starting a whole new thread for this. but here is a really cool quick write up on oliver and a stat known in the analytics world as "pass rush win rate"(PRWR). I've seen a lot of people saying he's been invisible and I've completely disagreed. I've seen him push the interior pocket numerous times to disrupt a qb's rhythm or throw. We've also faced running backs such as Bell, Barkley, and mixon and came out on the other side top ten in rush yds allowed. Meanwhile Oliver has seen the most interior snaps on the year. Anyone wanna try and tell me that's just coincidence? Anyhow..... he's in some seriously elite company with this PRWR stat. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/27690951/trench-trends-barrett-breakout-no-sack-denver-porous-carolina-line Rookies Ed Oliver, Brian Burns off to hot starts Oliver was a highly touted prospect despite having just three sacks last season in Houston, and he has yet to record one in Buffalo this season. But make no mistake, the No. 9 overall pick has caused plenty of disruption. Oliver has a PRWR as a defensive tackle of 22%, which ranks fourth behind the marks of Grady Jarrett, Aaron Donald and Calais Campbell. That's some pretty fine company.
  10. small sample size but the bills have a top 5 RZ td% through 3 games....
  11. Just saw Hyde made PFF defensive team of the week. Poyer made it last week.... this pair of safeties. Geez.
  12. If I’m not mistaken this is a complete 180 from what I’ve read about him from other outlets. Correct? Ill be be honest I can’t follow things as well when I’m there live than I can when at home, so I couldn’t tell you how he played.
  13. Don’t subscribe. What was said about Edmunds?
  14. Milano wasn't part of that 2nd game last year. he was an absolute terror in the first matchup.... oliver has gotten the most interior snaps on a top 10 rush d that has dealt with bell, barkley and mixon. there are different pieces in play. so I don't think its gonna be as easy as just trying to target Edmunds...
  15. ok. I watch espn… and nfl network.... or whatever other sports network is only that I feel like I don't let it bother me enough to quit watching. just get a chuckle.
  16. first take was just as good.... Stephen A. said he wasn't sleeping on the bills..... HE WAS SNORING ON THEM. Kellerman and woody scoffed at the notion they would make the playoffs.
  17. I agree with this. I don't think we're in that tier yet. soon though. …. that being said, while I don't expect a win, if we do pull it off it wont necessarily be a HUGE surprise to me.
  18. they went 11-5 last year. they needed a HUGE mistake/stroke of luck from the chiefs to even get out of the AFC. they then lost some key pieces..... they are being talked about like they are nearly unbeatable. I heard somebody in the media the other day say best team since 07.... really? REALLY?????.... all this after beating 3 really bad squads? they are very good. they are also being drastically overrated IMO. this makes your remarks even more troubling.
  19. geez man. you've been missing out. its been my favorite morning sports show going on 3 years now.
  20. the irony.... one of the couple thousand bandwagon mid 20's pats fans that will be there way too drunk and squawking while stroking bradys unit all pre-game....
  21. lost the turnover battle by FOUR and STILL beat the jets.... with their freaking starters. and thank you for proving my "simple" point. in what universe is sam darnold gonna perform the same as 3rd stringer luke falk? dude, you look really stupid when you type crap like that.... and that bengals team went across country and played a good seahawks team to within a point. you aren't good at this type of thing. you should stop. you look foolish.
  22. we will HANDLE the fins, like everyone else has. and we would have blown out the jets with luke falk playing. you seem really...… simple
  23. i'll admit I was sort of annoyed by the smith signing and the fact that he end up sticking around through the cuts.... that was the naïve fan in me, obviously. its fairly obvious what he offers now in the huddle, sideline and locker room. he's definitely leaving his stamp on the team for the future. yup. he already knows it was inexcusable. saying anything about it in-game literally helps nothing in that scenario. what an answer by allen with 4 minutes left. it was quite literally all him via passing and rushing all the way down to the 1 on that drive.
  24. Little bit of both I think. Could be the next great wave of qb’s. But it’s obviously much easier to pass the ball now
