  1. I don’t think “Come to Buffalo and help us win a Super Bowl” is a pitch that works today… at all … and I’m pretty sure that’s not the pitch. Beckham has clearly signaled he doesn’t want a short term deal. Given that I highly doubt Dallas is only offering a one year deal, that would mean the pitch is likely a 2-3 plan for him. Winning a Super Bowl involved.. playing with Von in the guaranteed years of his contract, playing opposite Diggs, with Allen etc.. But if the pitch is here’s some money, here’s some incentives to be paid at a later date, and good luck in Free Agency after the season, I can’t imagine we’d waste our time today. Willing to be surprised but I think this is a 2-3 year deal with Dallas or Buffalo.
  2. Odds would say Chiefs won’t go 15-2, but if they don’t lose to the Bengals, I’m not sure where that L comes from. Would be nice, after everything this team has dealt with, to go into the final stretch in control of their post-season positioning.
  3. The Knox worry is so overblown that I rarely ever bother to address it. We’ve kept him in to block a ton this year, and when he does leak out as a release valve, Allen rarely looks to check it down to him. It is what it is. He’s not Kelce. Nobody is. However, he’s in the group of above average TE’s after Kelce/Kittle/Andrews… We just have to add “getting Knox involved” to the list of clunky offensive issues we’re trying to iron out.
  4. My biggest takeaways from Cook: 1) You can see the receiving talent, but he does seem like he’s taken longer to transition that skill set to the NFL. Last night, even with the constant slipping, he looks like a guaranteed 8-15 yards anytime he catches it in the flat. 2) For someone who the worry was “can he run between the tackles”, he runs between the tackles fairly well. Still has some improvements to make adjusting to the NFL, but he has legit speed and elite acceleration, falls forward very well for a smaller back. All in all, James Cook looked every bit the part of a RD2 RB last night. He’s a big time talent, and while Singletary is a reliable/good player, and Hines is a nice chess piece… Cook is the guy. Sooner that change happens, the better.
  5. Hes very solid.. good player, but James Cook is - far and away - the most talented RB on this team. Hoping we start seeing a 60/40 Cook/Motor split. The Hines horizontal/misdirection stuff will start hitting when we get timing down better and Dawkins back in the lineup.
  6. Re-sign Edmunds. Reluctantly let Poyer walk. Do not use a high pick at Safety. Hyde/Hamlin in ‘23 with someone like Dean Marlowe as depth, along with an early Day 3 pick. Day 1 and Day 2 picks for the Offense.
  7. Oh look.. it’s the Jets/Vikings gameplan of players not executing the minute we go up two scores. Cool cool.
  8. Good thing we have 50 linebackers active and our fastest corner is a scratch.
  9. How do you think McKenzie would do in Tampa with Brady? Brady and Beasley have zero chemistry. Josh and, even a washed Beasley, do. At least we’d have someone in the slot that will go where Josh trusts him to be and not spaz out when the ball hits him in the hands. Our slot WR situation is one of the worst in the league so far this season. It went from being a huge part of this offense to an absolute joke.
  10. Im not as down on the OL as some. They’re ok. Not many dominating OL’s around the league. KC has invested heavy there, yet they don’t run the ball great either and Mahomes can be pressured. The neglect of the skill positions is notable. It’s not some second guessing either .. many fans/media were begging the Bills to add another viable outside WR. ..And that was even before we witnessed McKenzie and Davis, thus far, fail to step up in their new roles.
  11. First off.. weird. Second.. nobody is watching our offense, in relation to winning a Super Bowl, and thinking “this is fine”.
  12. Locker rooms in the NFL are diverse. Believe it or not, everyone’s life doesn’t revolve around social views and/or whether or not they can associate with people who think differently. Diggs, Davis and McKenzie all stay in touch with Beasley and speak of him as a close friend. I don’t know .. maybe they’re all white supremacists though.
  13. Injuries has been an issue for the defense. On offense, Morse has missed a game and now Dawkins misses a game. Other teams have lost OL starters for the season. "Hope is not a strategy", so if Kumerow/Crowder injuries can tank the skill position group, then that's all you need to know about the dire straits we entered the season with at WR.
  14. Yup. For all the "armchair quarterback" commentary about fanbases, many in the Bills fanbase were correctly concerned about WR heading into the season. We were told we had "pass catchers" and not to view them as inside, outside receivers or running backs. It sounded dumb them, and it's proven to be dumb now. Not saying Davis and McKenzie can't make a jump or that Dorsey won't figure out how to utilize Knox and Hines, but we're getting late into the season and so far Cosell is spot on. The obsession to constantly load up on defense (sans Von Miller) has proven to be more than just a fanbase frustration.. It's been borderline malpractice in how to treat a franchise QB ala Rodgers in Green Bay.
  15. At least he's someone that understand zones and leverage. McKenzie doesn't seem to have a clue. James Cook almost caused an interception because he purposefully ran away from the open zone in coverage. Our slot/release valve situation for Allen is absolutely disgraceful thus far.
  16. Perhaps. He's clearly diminished from the guy he was a few years ago. We all know that. But he had zero familiarity with Brady, and vice-versa.. I'm not going to expand that to Josh Allen and our Offense, of which there is a ton of familiarity. Who exactly are you worried for in the locker room? Josh Allen loves him and Diggs, McKenzie and Davis have all stayed in contact with him.
  17. Brady has no familiarity with Beasley. I don't really care if Cole can't get us any YAC... just help us move the chains. The offense has not been good. It's middle of the pack if you take away the hot start to the year.
  18. He said he's hopeful to be back for the Jets. Has said, definitively, that he will be back this season. What are you unsure of regarding Von's comments?
  19. Hard to make any judgments about this team re: in-season moves until we see where OBJ signs.
  20. Big week for us with the Pats on Thursday Night and Chiefs/Bengals, Dolphins/49ers on Sunday. On paper, this week is the best shot we have to get back in control of our own destiny.
  21. Do not care. Players around the league say he's a great teammate. That matters more to me than off the field attention seeking and any weird plane issues. I'm all in on offering him a multi-year deal to give Josh Allen a legit #2 WR.
  22. I don’t know… If the Ravens don’t pay him, someone will. If he wants to be the highest paid QB in the league, he’ll get it. As far as fully guaranteed money, will have to see if an owner is willing to break ranks. Pretty sure they were none too happy with the Browns for the Watson deal.
  23. This is certainly nowhere on my bingo card for OBJ related news that I expected to hear as he begins his three team tour soon.
  24. That’s like the third 20+ yard back shoulder throw for a TD at the right pylon today
  25. Sure, but I own a business.. If I want to tell a client to eat a d!ck, that’s my right… not great for my bottom line though.
