  1. Win the Super Bowl. Id be disappointed, regardless of injuries, if they can’t get past KC.. again. Maybe we don’t see them, but it seems highly unlikely as it currently stands. Once we get past KC, win the AFC .. There’s nobody in the NFC that should scare us.
  2. Welp, that’s clear as mud. It sounds like it’s trending towards him missing a few games and coming back with a brace, but this team was apparently built on an ancient Indian burial ground, so we shall see.
  3. Lions should be good next year also. Assuming health.. add Jameson Williams to that offense and the Rams pick… that teams future is bright. Still, I’m sure Josh Allen helped. Up 12% is a good number, and I’d definitely be interested in what that number would be for Jared Goff vs say… Justin Fields.
  4. Tre White is mentioned in the loss to KC but hardly anyone says “injuries” are why we lost. The second half of the Detroit game we were missing (From expected roster): Crowder Kumerow Morse Dawkins Von AJ Rousseau Edmunds White Hyde Poyer playing with a club Allen playing through a busted elbow Yea .. Im gonna let people talk about injuries right now
  5. It’s worth noting, but doesn’t take into account the caliber of player and the fact our injuries have all been cluster types decimating position groups. Likely also doesn’t take into account a guy like Tre White just coming back now. Also, the team were chasing (KC) has 20 less games missed due to injury by starter. Looking at our losses, give us those 20, and that likely equates to 1 of the 3 losses turned to a W.
  6. Josina Anderson reported that he’s played with a brace before. Guys play with meniscus tears and/or minor surgery quite frequently and don’t look worse for the wear. Just depends on how severe.
  7. 100% agree with lack of offensive investment. The Bernard pick is honestly so frustrating. We’re going to re-sign Edmunds, and Bernard isn’t even a replacement if we didn’t. Seriously … backup/rotational LB with that pick? Maddening.
  8. People swear they have good track records, and maybe they do … but this is 0/2 on the Bills star injuries. Chao, who so many on Twitter simp for, had Von with an ACL and Allen with a serious UCL injury that could be a season ender with invocations of Tommy John surgery.
  9. Ed did a lot to change my mind as someone who was indifferent to keeping him around long term. That was an Aaron Donald type performance. Time for the young guys to step up. This is now Ed O and Greg Rousseau’s DL. They’ve got to hold it down until we (hopefully) get Von back for the stretch run/playoffs.
  10. As long as Allen is healthy .. he can turn that on. Teams defend differently when Allen is running all over the place. Red Zone is different when Allen is running draws and sweeps. Obviously we cannot make a habit of doing that all year .. and so far, Dorsey has not shown the answer for when we need to run a normal offense. However, in the Playoffs, those restraints come off.
  11. So we’ve had 20 more games missed by starters than the team we’re one game behind in the standings for #1 overall seed. That number will likely grow after this week. But not an excuse? Ok. I care about the 1 seed. We’re 8-3. We own the tiebreaker over KC. However, they’ve had a sizable health advantage over us, and that doesn’t include Allen now 3 games in the books playing hurt, in which we dropped 1 in OT. Id argue the metric you shared IS the difference between who owns the 1 seed right now.
  12. Its wild how many people here think the #1 seed is “whatever”. It’s essentially a guaranteed W in WC Weekend and home field throughout. It’s a massive boost… and Mahomes has literally never played a road playoff game. It’s likely going to take winning out, because I don’t see a loss on KC’s schedule. They’ve been healthy in key spots and don’t have the dramatic swings we do. Odds say they’ll drop one, but I definitely don’t see two, absent an injury to Mahomes or Kelce.
  13. Josina Anderson reports the same, but adds that Von Miller has played with a brace before.
  14. I’m pretty sure being a Bills fan this year has successfully prepared me to become an orthopedic surgeon.
  15. Surely we will have more clarity after a Sean McDermott press conference.
  16. Can only say this so many times though.. Zach Wilson played above his ability Kirk Cousins made perfect throws Jacoby Brissett played above his ability Jared Goff played above his ability At a certain point it isn’t everyone else, it’s you … We were able to hide Dane when we had a ton of talent out there. Without that, he’s exposed as the depth corner/fringe starter he is.
  17. Dane and Benford can be fine when we have two All-Pro LB’s, a top tier nickel corner, a top 5 DL and two elite safeties behind them. Edmunds takes away the middle of the field. Safeties protect over the top. Our corners weren’t asked to do a ton. However, we’re seeing that these guys are good depth/fringe starters but were able to be hidden by McD and Frazier due to scheme and talent around them. Without the talent around them .. we’re seeing what they are… a depth corner and an unproven late round rookie.
  18. All we know is that the team hasn’t acknowledged that they “fear a potential season ending knee injury”. Instead we’ve heard “cautiously optimistic”. That’s it. That’s all we know for sure. What that tells me is they did tests on him at the stadium and didn’t have the tell-tale signs of an ACL tear. Teams usually know fairly quickly, which is why you hear statements like “team fears etc etc..”. Doesn’t mean they’re in the clear… just means the initial tests weren’t conclusive, which likely gives them hope … considering ACL tests are usually diagnosed pretty quickly with the MRI used to confirm. i.e. Tre last year .. they knew immediately.
  19. Brown, Morse, Bates, Saffold RAS are all pretty high, no? Saffold seems to be a weak link right now.. so I’m sure his score isn’t reflective, but I’m pretty sure every breakdown of our OL cited their athleticism.
  20. Williams literally got re-injured on his first catch against the Chiefs. Chargers are talented. Tons of injuries. Something is off with them/Herbert. Herbert can make the Allen throws, but when your QB slides in big moments, one yard short of the first down, I don’t know … Might be a microcosm of why they don’t seem to have “it”.
  21. Which is crazy because we have one of the most athletic OL’s in the league. But yea .. I’d prefer to not see another wasted down where Allen just has to throw it into the turf again.
  22. Sadly this is where he’s trending. You don’t pay for a high end WR3 in this offense. What will be interesting with how Buffalo deals with upcoming contracts is do they let people walk or do they trade guys before their deal is up for a pick? Tennessee has two Gabe Davis type players entering this draft. Both are big play WR’s with high WR2 potential. I’m hoping we get one of them.
  23. Some of it is Gabe. You can’t just disregard the drop rate. Some of it is that we have next to zero reliable production from the slot, so more focus is given to Gabe and Diggs. Diggs typically steps up … Gabe has been hit or miss for what we think/hope is a WR2. But yes… I’d say some of the criticism comes from the fact Knox is now a well paid blocking TE for some reason and our slot production is erratic at best. …and that’s not Gabe’s fault.
  24. Sure.. which was ridiculous, because that would necessitate a serious UCL injury .. which Allen clearly did not have given he was mechanically able to launch a pass two plays later.
  25. Chao definitely invoked Tommy John. He may have not said he definitely needed it, but he, and some others, put that out into the Twitterverse.
