Tre'Davious White - when will he be ready?
SCBills replied to Deadstroke's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yup.. I was listening on my way over to my dad's house and Brown/Wood definitely seemed to have energy indicative of being done with the White absence. The very specific comment about OBJ being in his ear lends me to believe that they were given the green light to openly discuss him in that manner. -
Tre'Davious White - when will he be ready?
SCBills replied to Deadstroke's topic in The Stadium Wall
Reading between the lines, it seems pretty obvious that the team is becoming frustrated with him. WGR personalities, namely Chris Brown on the pre-game show, don't openly question Tre White if they don't have the green light from the organization. -
Meh.. I think Beane is great, but WR was a blind spot for him this offseason. They bet on Davis. Ok.. Fair enough. Still.. they knew that was a bet. He's ok as a big play WR 2/3, but the consistency is not there right now. They had to have weighed the potential that he remains a similar player to what he's shown. Crowder is a guy they knew was an injury risk when they signed him.. aaand he's injured. Even if all their bets paid off, there's still no outside WR3, which is absurd in this offense. We entered the season with Diggs, Davis and three slot receivers. Now one's been hurt, one's an enigma and the other is a rookie who might as well wear an invisibility jersey. That's no way to build a passing offense. It was weird in the offseason, and it's proving to be weird now. Just bizarre roster allocation. Seems the answer is to have Diggs, Davis stay healthy.. Davis make a jump.. and have Knox become Kelce-lite. That's it.. That's the best I'm hoping for, because we have no other options and OBJ seems destined for Dallas.

Davis is a bit frustrating thus far as the #2, but he’s starting to show that he can make the normal chain moving plays.. so hopefully it’s starting to slowly come together for him. The frustration towards him is exacerbated by our slot wr being nonexistent. Can’t think of too many teams that primarily pass the ball and only deploy two WR’s they’ll throw to / rely on. All anyone has to do is throw on a KC game, and see how they scheme and use 4-5 WR’s around Kelce. Our passing offense looks like a JV dumpster fire compared to them right now.
-
It’s just sickening watching how Reid schemes up that offense. Watching Kelce be a constant cheat code. Seeing Mahomes drooled over because of 5 yard dumps off that get taken 30-40 yards to the house. It is what it is. Bills had the 1 seed in a vice grip, and now we likely need to win out .. and I don’t even know if that will be enough. Arrowhead it is .. again

In a hilarious scheduling twist, we actually don’t have a mini-bye after Thanksgiving. We have the Pats next Thursday.

If there’s ever been an “I told you so” from the fanbase to the front office, it’s over how they addressed WR. We even had them using the media to tell us “view them as pass catchers, not slot/outside WR’s”. Yet here we are, 10 games in and we have two WR’s, one of which isn’t exactly the most reliable. Hopefully they find roles for Shakir and McKenzie or Knox’s role looks more like yesterday, because this isn’t sustainable.

The issue we, and many around the league, have with how Kelce is officiated doesn’t really have a ton to do with whether that’s a hold or not. It was borderline. It’s that Kelce has mastered the ability to manipulate offensive leverage of how the game is officiated. He holds and pushes off incessantly, so defenders are essentially forced to hold him back or get separated on when he lets go of the inside hold and pushes off. Also keep in mind when talking to Bills fans .. we dealt with this for a decade with Gronk. Nobody here has the patience to listen to why a fringe hold on a crucial, end of game, 3rd down was called.

Allen is struggling right now, but I’m not at all prepared to say Mahomes is better. He is, however, in a much better offense, with 10x the coaching and the most dangerous skill weapon in the league. I have confidence Allen gets it together. We need McD, Frazier and Dorsey to level up… especially if, as it looks, they’ll have to win their first road playoff game ever in Arrowhead to get to where we want to go.
-
How’s the field at Arrowhead? Anyone know if that’s a game Tre might feel comfortable coming back in?
-
I don’t watch the Chargers enough to know what he looks like outside of prime time games, but I do know that if you have an elite QB and a ton of talent, you don’t miss the playoffs every year. Maybe a closet Chargers fan in here can explain to me why he’s in danger of missing the playoffs … again.
-
Bills knew what the deal was. They had the 1 seed in their control and **** the bed in two straight weeks. Not going to get angry because we all knew who we were dealing with. KC is just consistent. Under McDermott, we are not. Until that changes, the road goes through Arrowhead.
-
5-5, staring down the barrel of missing the playoffs … again. At some point we can’t just act like he’s the only piece of the puzzle that’s not a problem.
-
This. Allen isn’t playing to a level where I can argue he’s better at the moment, but this is why I find the “best QB in the NFL” argument so maddening. Mahomes is a great QB playing in the best offense with the best skill position player.
-
Herbert is sus … Slide so you can QB sneak?
-
Dropping a game behind KC is maddening because now we have to watch this bs, on repeat, for the rest of the season.

Does Collinsworth hear himself? Imagine debasing yourself so hard for one man

The ol’ Mahomes 4 yard pass that goes in the books as a 30 yard TD. Dare you question his greatness!!

I can’t deal with Pacheco’s stutter step running.

JESTS Radio and message boards having a melt down

No idea how he looked like the worst QB to ever play before us. Plays us. Looks good. Then continues to play like the worst QB ever.- 124 replies

Calm down. The questions is “can they?” Can they? Yes. As most qualify their answer with.. it will require us getting healthy and the offense/Allen getting their act together. If you think we stay devastated by injury and Allen continues playing like his head is in the clouds, so be it. I don’t. If that continues, nope .. won’t win out and making the playoffs will be a dog fight.

Edmunds…back to back good games. Facts. (Update: Another good game)
SCBills replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think we’re finding out that our backups look good when playing a game here and there with most of the other starters out there. Not so much when we have to rely on a handful of them for extended periods of time. And that’s ok .. a testament to the staff in having depth, but we’re at a point where cracks will show. Gotta get some guys back and/or have the offense get their act together to buy the defense some time. -
Jason Garrett is not a real person. He’s a robot acting like how it thinks a person acts.

Everytime I watch the Chargers play … “This team is going to be scary in the Playoffs” Everytime I then look at their record .. (hovering around .500)

When I watch other QBs run out of bounds instead of plowing through a defender for a first down. “Peasant. Allen would never…”
