NFL Week #10 - Vikings at Bills - 1st half game thread
SCBills replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
All these other guys can’t make mistakes but Singletary can fumble at an absurd rate. So over it. -
The American Media Should Not Be Trusted

Excited to see who does, and doesn’t, cover this story. -
Oh, this year … absolutely. Injuries have been killing this team. Healthy, they are loaded and OBJ provides exactly what they’ve been missing on Offense thus far.
-
So…. Brady is back.
-
But we don’t even need to mortgage the future .. we just need to be more savvy with our moves. KC traded Hill and remained a contender. Pats moved off guys all the time during the Brady era. Letting Poyer walk and trading Oliver for a pick that we can use to draft a Top 100 player is how we can sign OBJ to a multi-year contract. If we have 4 Top 100 picks and no drastic need for a skill position .. go, in any order.. DT, S, OL, OL. These are the types of creative moves I do believe we’ll start seeing in the future. Or maybe… I hope to.

Geno Smith could have easily ran for the first down .. no idea what he was thinking there.
-
Fwiw, he should. It’s a gamble, but if it hits… Forget just this year.. Diggs-OBJ-Davis with Shakir going into next year is about as good as it gets. We haven’t done this type of roster maneuvering since becoming a contender, but take Oliver’s money to help offset some of an OBJ contract and trade him for a 2nd or 3rd. We can easily find a good 1T with that pick to go with Jones and Settle.

Crowd is fantastic. Really into it early.

A Montana bill to require medical attention for aborted babies born alive …failed. Who even are we as a society anymore? It’s possible people didn’t understand the legal jargon in the provision, but wtf… In regards to people believing lies … exit polling from the midterms shows that the biggest issue facing R’s wasn’t the worry that they’d ban abortion … it was the worry that they’d eliminate social security.
-
Completely agree with all of this. GOP needs to purge itself of Trump’s personality and Bush’s policies. Embrace culture wars in the mold of DeSantis and Youngkin. Become the party of white working class, hispanics and small business owners, while increasing their gains this midterm with black men (Georgia) and Muslims (Michigan). Focus on election reform and build machines to churn out EV like the Dems have mastered.

I’m in the Southeast.. I’m doing fine. We’ve got nice weather, low taxes, ocean beaches and competent Republican Governors. I’ll be welcoming more of my Long Island friends down here after the holidays as a few more have decided to make the move after this last election.
-
Might be the best thing for the GOP. Bad for the country… but come ‘24, Dems will have nobody to blame but themselves, GOP will (hopefully) have soul-searched and found new leadership, and y’all will have to go up against DeSantis with a ‘24 Congressional map that is brutal for Dems. Sweep DeSantis into office with a GOP House and Senate. You may think that’s crazy… but deep down, you know this is a somewhat probable outcome.

The Doom of the Republican Party is in the Nomination .

Honest question … do you have a legitimate disability? I don’t want to be condescending towards you if you do. Your posts always seem kinda related, but also very random. Lots of unrelated memes and loosely correlated commentary. For instance, in the post you quoted, I’m criticizing Trump. I’ve been criticizing him on this board for days now. Yet, here you are, with a “MAGA tears” meme… why? It makes no sense. So if you have some kind of impairment, please do let me know and I’ll respond with that in mind in the future. -
Hochul campaigned on Zeldin taking away a womens right to choose in NY. He literally can’t as Governor. It’s codified into law by the state legislature. Is that disinfo.. misinfo…? People surely were misled by it. Should the govt step in? Should tech censor?
-
Plenty of classical liberals also concerned by the emphasis on “disinformation”. This isn’t just conservative Twitter. Jimmy Dore and Russell Brand to name a few.
-
Election was likely swayed in ‘20 because enough people were convinced Biden Laptop was Russian disinfo. People lost jobs, businesses and careers because of the lie that the vax stopped transmission. Nobody is actually focused on “disinformation”…. it’s simply an excuse to control the narrative.

So. Much. Winning. And tbh, I do like Blake Masters and Joe Kent, but they’re political newcomers that have some unconventional ideas. With the Trump endorsement, they took down R’s that were favored in the General. Story came out today that he almost tanked Lombardo and he tried to primary Kemp. Regardless of whether he can win the GE, it shouldn’t even matter …. He’s not a Republican… he’s a brand that runs on a GOP platform. For ***** sake, he just launched a PAC for Herschel where 10% of every donation goes to TeamHerschel and 90% goes to Save America PAC. -
This makes no sense to me. Medical team either cleared him or they didn’t. Nobody says well.. in an emergency he can play, but not a good idea to start him bc he’s not functional and can get hurt much worse. Followed by the conservative Bills being like, “Backup it is!!”

There is zero chance that a team who rests guys because they cut their fingernail too close is going to put Allen out there if he’s not close to healthy and at real risk for further injury. Im sorry.. there’s just no way.

DeSantis For President in 2024?
SCBills replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Oh, they will for sure. But this was the abortion election. They did about as well as they could with it. As Roe fades, so too will the issue.. provided R’s have consistent national level messaging. It will always be an issue. Dems will promise to codify it nationally, but when people realize they have access - in some level - anyway, and R’s stop the whole ban talk, it’s only going to energize so much. -

SCBills replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Dems benefitted greatly from 3 things this election: -Roe being overturned and R’s having no coherent messaging on it. -Early Vote mobilization. No one knew at the time, but the PA SEN race was over before they ever even had a debate. -Dems getting real comfy lying to voters about bribes they can’t come through on. R’s taking the pop vote by a good bit. It wasn’t all messaging … D’s mobilized much better in targeted areas. With abortion, what’s going to happen over the next two years? States will settle abortion law. In states where it was settled, R’s cleaned up. In states where it wasn’t, they struggled. Even if strict abortion law states, the R who set those laws won in a landslide. Kemp and DeWine. What does that mean? R’s on the national level need to say it belongs to the states. No more ban talk. States will settle law and some will be strict (heartbeat) and some will be whenever (Cali, NY) As long as R’s aren’t dumb and have a coherent leave it to the states message, this issue should fade as it becomes settled law state by state.
