I'd push back heavy on this. Hyde/Poyer > Poyer/Hamlin ADV '21 Tre/Elam/Rhodes/Johnson/Jackson > Jackson/Wallace/Johnson etc ADV '22 Edmunds/Milano > Edmunds/Milano ADV '22 (same players.... different Edmunds) Ed/Jones/Settle/Phillips > Ed/Harry/Star etc ADV '22 Jerry/Mario/Rousseau/AJ/Boogie > Shaq/Rousseau/AJ/Boogie ADV '21 I'm taking our defense, as is, over last years every time. We've just taken another hit to what could've been one of the best defenses in a decade.

For the doomers... this is why you try to build teams without trading away a ton of draft picks. While this is incredibly frustrating, this why we're not screwed moving forward in paying a huge chunk of cap space to a major piece that won't be back until potentially Christmas of next year. DL is loaded with high round talent and we have all our main picks next year to infuse young talent onto a roster with limited cap space.

They'll likely slow play Von's recovery even more than Tre's due to age. So we'll likely have him for Playoffs 2023 and all of 2024. After that we're basically out of the contract. RE: Team set up. Rousseau, Ed, Settle, Daquan, AJ and Boogie are all on the roster next year. Is it ideal... nope.. Is it the end of the world... also, nope. Going to need the young guys to step up because that's who we've got until this time next year.
-
Yea.. I think we'd likely just slow play it next year with him so he's an added piece for the playoffs. At the end of the day, that's all we ever needed him for.. sucks we won't see it this year.
-
It's still as it always was.. a 3 year guaranteed deal. Have to hope he can give us next year and '24 what we were hoping from him this year. Have to think this might be shutting the door on him playing into the year to year 4-6 part of the deal.

Never again.

Christian Watson seemed designed in a lab for Josh Allen and our Front Office.. especially given their views on traits. Oh well, at least we have Xavier Rhodes.

Lamar Jackson leaves denver game with knee injury
SCBills replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't envy the Ravens in this decision at all. I personally don't think you can win with him in the AFC. Not with him on the same QB timeline as Allen, Mahomes and Burrow. On the Niners, in the NFC, yea.. that could work.. until they need to find a way to fit their OL, Bosa, those linebackers, Kittle, Deebo, Aiyuk, CMC etc., under the salary cap with a (i'm guessing) close to 50M per year contract for Lamar? -
For me, personally, 93+ and sunny is my breaking point for being outside for an extended period of time. It's always humid in the SE, so that's a given. I've gone to a Braves day game in the 95 degree sun and people were literally leaving because they were about to pass out. Would never do that again. Clemson/Syracuse a few years ago, day before Halloween, was 93 and sunny noon kickoff... not as bad, maybe humidity was less being in the Fall, but that was about my limit.

Fwiw.. I'm still in on this. Best case scenario: We get the 1 seed/bye. Have two weeks to get OBJ up to speed with some sort of package for the Playoffs. He doesn't need to hit the field until the middle/end of January. Worst case scenario: He's just shot for this season, and we have our WR2 for next season.. perhaps beyond, depending on contract length. Or maybe the knee concerns are simply negotiation and he's able to get back on the field for the Bengals/Patriots games. If he wants money and the spotlight, he'll suck it up, deal with a disrespectful owner, and go hat in hand to the Cowboys after how they treated Cooper and now already leaked his medicals. If he comes here, I don't think we'll be shocked by the contract. Multi-year, yes... for monster guaranteed money.. unlikely.

I'm so conflicted as a Bills fan in the south when we get involved with trash talking Dolphins fans.. Love the Bills, hate New York state. Hate the Dolphins, love most everything about the state of Florida. I will say, re: heat/humidity, you get "somewhat" used to it. When I moved to ATL ten years ago from NY, I thought I was going to die that first summer. Now it's whatever. Meanwhile, last time I visited NY, it was spring time, about 65.. everyone was wearing shorts & t-shirts... I was in jeans and a sweater.

I saw one the other day that had us taking Bijan Robinson at RB in RD1. While a Robinson/Cook backfield would be absolutely absurd.. that seems like a complete luxury pick. O'Cyrus Torrence, the Guard from Florida is another guy I see mocked to us a lot. Absolute mauler in the run game that is also very good in pass pro. Think he would be a home run. Depending on what happens with OBJ, WR would have to be a RD1 or RD2 pick, imo. I do think Poyer will be gone this offseason, so I'd be ok rolling with Hyde/Hamlin, and then an early Day 3 pick at Safety to develop behind Hyde.

Lol… ok, enough already.

OBJ may just be a dude who wants money and fame.. I don’t know … But what I do know .. I’m not signing with a team led by an owner who traded the previous big name WR out for a bag of chips because he wouldn’t get vaxxed and then decided to take my negotiations public. Thats just me though..
-
I definitely there could be some of that for Jones. Would have to think they have an idea that OBJ is either dead set on Dallas or they are still prepared to offer more than Buffalo (or NY) to be taking it public.
-
I still would be surprised if he signs here, but you must be listening to a different Sean McDermott than me if you think that wasn’t a quite openly conversational McDermott right there. Contrast that to hype obsessed Jerry Jones being surprisingly reserved in his comments today.
-
-
Jerry Jones was pretty hesitant given Odell isn’t working out. Not sure if he was expecting him to or what.. Contrast that with McDermott, who was bonkers open about Odell given his usual buttoned up self. Also doesn’t seem to have the same worries re: Odell’s health.
-
Just off reading vibes, Jerry Jones sounded the exact opposite of Sean McDermott today.
-
Yea, it's pretty bizarre.. Did he think he was just going to have dinner with Josh and Von, then go to a Mavs game with Diggs and Parsons, tour facilities and the offers would come pouring in? ..because it sounds like he did.
-
Apparently Jerry Jones made a comment a few minutes ago that he's not confident at all about signing OBJ without a workout.
-
I don’t care what the Bucs record is… If I’m a fan of Dallas, I do not feel like dealing with that nonsense on WC Weekend in Tampa.
-
I just can’t muster the Brady hate some of you have. Im in my 30’s, so he’s been the bane of my sports existence for as long as I know, but I don’t mind him post-NE.
-
Mark Cuban is completely incapable of attracting stars to Dallas so this may be a good thing.

Pretty sure the GOP’s entire strategy was to hope Kemp could pull Walker across the finish line on election night. Ever since then there’s about 50 Warnock commercials to every 1 Walker commercial. So, expect Georgia to send a wildly progressive false preacher back to the Senate because Georgia Republicans are incapable of putting forth a competent challenger to a weak Senator nobody down here really cares for.
