Pretty sure that’s accurate. It’s too bad our sideline isn’t built on a hot spring so we could mimic the absurd advantage Miami has. If we choose to freeze our limbs off, we can force Miami to do so as well.

Updated Beasley signing to practice squad
SCBills replied to Niagara Dude's topic in The Stadium Wall
Nope. Dude played on broken bones for us in the playoffs, has been a loved teammate, given us everything on the field and we brought in Bruce Smith to tell him, Gabe etc (and probably even Allen) that they don’t care about their team if they don’t get a vax … a vax it turns out Cole was far more right on than the league. These weren’t normal circumstances and if you can’t watch that presser, and then watch Cole out there at practice with the guys hugging him/dapping him up .. and not feel good that Beane/McDermott & Beasley were able to squash any past issues and come together for a hopeful Super Bowl run, then I don’t know what to tell ya.. -
DaQuan Jones: Best Beane free agent signing in years
SCBills replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Our DT rotation, once Phillips comes back, may be the best in the Playoffs. Only thing missing are some of the consistent impact plays a single guy like Donald, Quinnen & Chris Jones provide. For the all the talk about Von and the young pass rushers on the outside, the DT room Beane has built is a monster. -

Will be interesting to see how the offense looks if/when Cole becomes our primary slot for the rest of the season.. We’ve been running an offense with an elite WR1, a gadget player playing slot and WR3 playing WR2. It’s no wonder things have looked a bit clunky. Even if we have 75% of the Cole we know.. He’s still a guy that can get open and move the chains. Teams know he needs to be accounted for. That slides Gabe back to WR3, McKenzie back to gadget/slot, and maybe .. finally .. allows us to use guys like Knox, Hines and Cook as envisioned. -
Week 15: Dolphins at Bills on Saturday Night Football

Guess it would be Van Roten for Bates? We have 3 solid/good OL in Dawkins, Morse and Bates. Now down to 2 for this game. Is it too much to ask for Brown to finally give us one consistent game and Saffold to not get rocked in pass pro? -
It’s more about being acclimated to the climate than where you are from. I grew up in NY.. Syracuse, and then Long Island. Moved down south nine years ago, and within two years, I was outside jogging in low 90’s as the sun set, but almost died the second the cold air hit my face for the first time back visiting fam in Cuse for the holidays.

This makes zero sense for OBJ unless he's in dire need of some pocket change. Play a few games, for little money, no long term deal and risk hurting your long term contract prospects in the offseason? If he just waits, he'll have plenty of teams interested in him when he's fully healed and able to workout before/during Free Agency.

Interesting that they're signing him to the PS and then using call-ups. I'm assuming he'll eventually be signed to the 53, provided it's working out. Unlimited call-ups in the post-season, I think Sal reported, but we have 4 games left in the regular season. Three call-ups doesn't get us to the playoffs. -
Isaiah Hodgins claimed off waivers by Giants
SCBills replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
No guarantee Josh would even look his way or throw passes to him with little separation. I feel like the only designed contested elevation/catch ball Allen has thrown all year was to Shakir against the Steelers. Big small window thrower.. Not so much with the up top contested throws. -

See Duke Williams, our WR1 against the Texans in a WC Game a few years ago. -

Just need a guy who will catch those first down routes that are being dropped. If McKenzie doesn't have TWO first down drops, on the second one, we get a first down in the red zone and perhaps put that game out of reach. Instead we had to sweat it out. -

I guess.. We are used to the cold. We are used to playing in some wind. Even in some cold, wet, snowy conditions.. This is different, and it's not something we're used to. No excuses... we absolutely cannot lose this game after all the trash that was talked about the conditions in Miami... but I would much rather us just have frigid conditions with no wind/precip. -
It’s always amazed me that so many do. At least he hasn’t a pulled a Lamar Jackson.. yet. Fwiw, he seems like a great teammate who works hard, but I don’t get the vibe that football is his life (relatively speaking).. I would think that would make it easier to handle criticism from the most toxic place on earth, but maybe not.

If you’re a slot wr who’s a bad fit for most offenses, it seems that questions how good you are. If you need to go to a specific scheme to be a good slot, that probably is because you’re a gadget player. -

This. McKenzie isn't a bad player. McKenzie is a bad starting slot wide receiver in a pass heavy offense. No reason why he can't help us, now, as WR4 and in the gadget role. -

It's tough to be critical of Allen, because he has been let down a lot this year... and compared to other top QB's, plays in the worst conditions.. but let's just look at the Jets game: -Missed Diggs early on a slant that, maybe, goes to the house?.. there was nobody home aside from a Safety 20 yards down the open field. -Underthrew the deep John Brown route. Brown had Sauce beat. Not a bad throw, but just enough that it allowed an elite corner to get back into the picture and disrupt the catch. -Underthrew Knox on a game ender. Likely wanted to be safe on the throw, but it allowed the linebacker to get a hand in on the catch. Every QB misses throws, but Allen is not on point right now. Some of it is trust, some it is the offense working through stuff, but he's also missing some big throws and still taking contested deep throws that aren't there when open guys are underneath. We'll know he, and the offense, are back when it's 3rd and 10 and we're all of the mind set that he's converting that with his arm. Right now, who here is confident in that situation?... I'm not. (OL not getting a free pass either - their protection issues against good defenses in another reason why) -

You can see, even on the broadcast, multiple times per game where Knox is available underneath for a 6-10 yard pick up. Josh just doesn't take them. If he did, Knox's numbers would look much different. -
Jerry Sullivan crosses the line. Comments against women.
SCBills replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Dumb comment. Sullivan is wrong about what he said. Move on. Shouldn’t erase his career. Shouldn’t be something everyone cries about for days. Equally annoying.. having WGR hosts & some of the Bills podcast guys use this as an opportunity to virtue signal. -

I don't know.. could be some "there" there. You just had people mad. Maybe not even at each other. Mad at the situation. Some getting it and hoping others do just to stop dealing with the league rules. Some not getting it and being annoyed at the league rules. Some that got it because they aren't star players and didn't want to get cut over it. Then you have guys like Bruce Smith telling guys they don't care about the team if they don't get it... Yea, ok, I'm sure that sat well with a guy like Josh or Cole, when Cole basically played on a broken leg for us in the playoffs. Just glad we're past that... (knock on wood) -

If half this board knew we didn't do enough to address the WR room this off-season, I feel like Beane should've known. The biggest debate we had was where is a third competent outside WR on a pass heavy offense? We still don't have that. Now, I do think it's armchair QB'ing to criticize the Beasley/Crowder/McKenzie situation. Beasley was owed way more than he was worth as a player for a full season. Crowder came in cheaper, could do much of the same things, but.. injury prone. Injuries got him, McKenzie hasn't made the jump from gadget to starting slot and it's been a mess. I won't criticize Beane for his handling of the slot wr position... it just didn't work.. but most of us knew we were lacking at WR heading into the season. It was debated ad nauseum here. -

Yes and No. It's more of a mea culpa that they messed up the WR room for this year but it's a good sign that they are open to bringing in guys Allen knows and wants to help fix the situation we're in. -

First off, he can very likely help this team. Second, he is one of the core players of this contending team. He's been here since Josh Allen's second year. It's just a great story, and for a lot of us, we're just happy to have him back. -

While it sounds like Beasley was loved in the locker room... and especially by Allen, Diggs, Davis and co., I do find it funny that we hear "not one player opposed"... Kidding (mostly), but I'm not sure anyone want to oppose and become the accompanying player released when Cole gets signed to the active roster. -

The man in your profile pic is the one who brought him back. Interesting fan take when you actively root against your team and QB.
