Updated Beasley signing to practice squad
SCBills replied to Niagara Dude's topic in The Stadium Wall
First off, he can very likely help this team. Second, he is one of the core players of this contending team. He's been here since Josh Allen's second year. It's just a great story, and for a lot of us, we're just happy to have him back. -

While it sounds like Beasley was loved in the locker room... and especially by Allen, Diggs, Davis and co., I do find it funny that we hear "not one player opposed"... Kidding (mostly), but I'm not sure anyone want to oppose and become the accompanying player released when Cole gets signed to the active roster. -

The man in your profile pic is the one who brought him back. Interesting fan take when you actively root against your team and QB. -

I’m a big fan of Beasley, but he had a cap hit that wasn’t equivalent to his level of play at his age/ability. That said, he still has the potential to be a decent player for us. He knows the system and has years of experience with Josh … and he also won’t have the wear and tear of a full season on his body. I can’t imagine the contract will be much of anything with 4 games left and the postseason. It just makes way too much sense if both sides can come to an agreement. Nevermind the emotional side.. it seems a lot of guys on the team love him. -

Theres wayyyy too much smoke. Every Bills beat writer has basically confirmed something is going on. -
NFL has a tendency to figure people out, but the 49ers are an extremely QB friendly system in need of a guy who can just manage the game and make the occasional throw down the field… Purdy can do that, along with mobility at QB they didn’t have before.

Agree.. This DL looked like an absolute UNIT on Sunday. If they can get Jordan Phillips healed up and back to form for the Playoffs, this DL still has the potential to wreck opposing offenses.. especially with the blitz element from our Linebackers.

Buffalo Bill receivers now lead the league in dropped passes
SCBills replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Which is crazy given how much attention was given to the Green Bay drop issues... -
What is it even going to take to get Shakir more opps? We can surmise that Allen doesn't trust him/have chemistry with him, but then he throws the ball to him downfield with a defender draped on him and gets the PI call. Not sure how we only get one of these Allen to Shakir plays every 2-3 games..

Not a good look....

James Cook looks like he will be the starting RB next year. He’s good. Kaiir Elam has looked good in his moments but can’t get on the field for whatever reason. I like his potential as CB2 opposite White moving forward into the ‘23 season. Christian Benford, whether at CB or S looks like legit depth with the upside of average - above average starter. Terrel Bernard, who knows. Nobody understood the pick when they made it, and when they inevitably extend Edmunds, it will make even less sense. Not sure what he is, or will be, in the future. Khalil Shakir shows promise that he will compete for starting slot next year. Like Elam, he’s shown he can do some things but isn’t really utilized much. All in all… 3 strong picks for the future in Cook, Elam and Benford. One potentially strong pick in Shakir. One ::shrugs:: in Bernard. As of now though.. they’re not doing much of anything to help us. Bringing rookies along slowly is fine … but when you’re paying a QB, those rookie contracts are gold.

If the offense keeps struggling does Dorsey get fired ?
SCBills replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think I'd agree with you on the Jets. Also the fact that they match up perfectly with us in having a dominant DL and the best boundary corner pairing in the NFL. There are absolutely factors/reasons as to why the Offense has not looked like we need it to look these past few weeks. Will Allen continue to heal up? Yea. Will we unleash him more in the Playoffs (running) which in turn opens up the field more? Yea. People act like our Offense was dunking on people all last year... they really weren't until the Playoffs. People were dreading the Pats WC game heading into it. That said, McKenzie & Davis are very worrisome because we don't have any other options. Last year we had Beasley & Sanders in the mix... right now, the only answer, is that they need to be better. Davis, even though the production has been meh, has in recent weeks at least started showing more that just deep routes. McKenzie is an enigma, he cannot have games like yesterday in the playoffs. Just so frustrating. -
Orlovsky: Bills aren't as talented offensively as we thought
SCBills replied to Billz4ever's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think we have some personnel issues that need to be evaluated and/or worked through on Offense. I also know that we had a lot of these same questions this time last year. Not totally sure how to quantify all that. -
If Hill can go, all Tua has to do is throw their short passing game with Hill & Waddle... while we'll run our non-existent short passing game. Fun times.. super excited for some more slop ball. Cold.. yes, I want cold for Miami to deal with. Game altering elements, NO THANKS

For me, personally, Dane is fine if he can get out of his slump and start playing the ball better .. but he doesn’t have the talent Kaiir Elam has. We drafted a corner in RD1 (traded up even). Many of us were hopeful to see White/Elam heading into the playoffs to battle with the high powered offenses we may see. Dane has been a weak point in - yes - some recent dominant defensive performances. Elam, on tape, has done nothing to warrant this pseudo-benching. It is what it is. This staff knows corners. We’ll have a better feel soon enough with Miami and Cinci coming up.

I love these questions … you can tell who’s a troll and who’s a fan with legitimate concerns. Most here are fans with legitimate concerns. We have an elite QB and an owner who spends a bajillion dollars to front load signing bonuses so Beane can be one of the few GM’s in the league with seemingly zero cap constraints (within reason). The goal is to get to, and win, a Super Bowl. That’s the lens they are being viewed through … Allen knows it, the players know it, the coaches know it.. and I’m sure the owners somewhat expect it.

Greatest fumble recovery we’ve ever seen - Collinsworth

…added a FG
-
Chargers do this all the time. You watch them, and think Herbert looks good, but they’re rarely ever doing anything. Look up 30 minutes later and they’ve added a FG.
-
I think we will copy the zone schemes used to slow down Miami, but I’m worried Frazier won’t put anyone up tight against their WR’s… ….and as I type this, that is why.
-
Good to know there’s a blueprint out there for Miami… Not ideal that if Frazier’s defensive philosophy was Capitalism, the way to kill Miami’s offense is to adopt Communism.
-
Good for the SNF crew for loudly calling that flag out. Absolute garbage call.
-
Gross. Refs killing the sport with this stuff.

I really don’t need Kornacki for this. So extra.
