  1. LOL at this start. Dropped 3rd down conversion on offense. Half the defense injured. Zero discipline.
  2. It’s a weird game on the schedule for obvious reasons, that’s all. The Bills, even with some injuries, are more talented and should win this game. Low key missing player for Jax.. Smoot. That dude freed up Jags Josh Allen against our struggling OL (with Sweeney at starting TE), when we played them a few years ago.
  3. Legitimately excited to see Kaiir Elam out there. If he can get himself settled into this defense, that is so big for not just this year, but the future. No idea what’s going on with Poona Ford. I thought he might be active with Jax moving a 6’8 dude into LG. Let Poona with his refrigerator, low leverage build get up under him and push him back.
  4. Probably not, unless Denver decides they need to load up picks for a QB. Caleb Williams and Drake Maye look to be worthwhile QB’s to target this coming Draft.
  5. No.. that’s why he’s so appealing. Elite player with this year and next on his rookie deal. Then the fifth year option after next season.
  6. Given where we will likely be drafting, I’m guessing any conversation begins with our 1st.. as the bare minimum starting point. Id probably be open to a package involving our 1st and 3rd, given we have a comp 3rd this year. Its tough though.. We may be fine at CB with Jackson, Benford and Elam. And in terms of off-season needs, we’re staring at WR2, Safety and DT as premium pick needs.
  7. Im more speaking to the fact most of our mainstream news organizations have barely touched the surface on what occurred today. Very surface level reporting. One doesn’t truly understand what happened unless you’re sifting through verifiable video on Twitter. Same thing happened during the attempted revolt in Russia.. Twitter was hours ahead of mainstream media.
  8. ABC News breaks into college football to show clips of Biden’s remarks, followed by a statement that Israel was attacked by rockets, with footage of Israel blowing up a building in Gaza. That’s it. That was the report. Why is it that we are forced to turn to Twitter/X to get the full story of any big event?
  9. I do think the Israel/Palestine conflict is complex, but tend to more align with the idea that Israel has a right to exist & defend themselves. Today might be a point where my nuance on the topic takes a backseat. The videos coming across social media.. that can’t/won’t be shown on American news stations, are brutal. This is a brazen terrorist attack on civilians. To see women being paraded around and stuffed into vehicles, likely heading to a fate worse than death, is hard to watch.
  10. In the past few years, one side has: -Cheered on large scale, long term lockdowns -Cheered on vaccine mandates with punitive ramifications for those who didn’t fall in line -Sought broad censorship and suppression of speech on open discourse platforms -Used the judicial system to go after political opponents, both leaders and followers. -Seeked to disarm the American public. Some Republicans/Conservatives have gone along with some, or all, of this.. but they would be in the vast minority. This has all been done, primarily, at the behest of progressive/liberal leaders. To speak nothing of policy, where we can all have our preferences/differences, one side has been pushing authoritarianism.. and we all know which side that is. Covid & Trump having been used as convenient Trojan horses to excuse their deliberate furtherance of Democrat-aligned fascism. Like they used Covid, Trump is a willing idiot (and so are his supporters) to be propagandized for the “by any means necessary” crowd in gaining buy-in from half the country over their fear of a virus / hatred of one man. Buy-in that inevitably leads to more government control and less civil liberties for the people it governs.
  11. The Bills Defense is generally considered a “CB friendly scheme”. Not exactly sure why, when compared to other schemes around the league and/or if that changes with McDermott at the helm. All that being said, Benford’s metrics are that of an elite CB. We certainly need more of a sample size, and to see what he looks like as CB1 now.. but the guy seems to be, at the very least, an above average Cornerback.
  12. Two things can be true at the same time. The fall/destruction of the nuclear family, specifically in the black community, is a massive issue … and one that doesn’t seem to have any course correction on the horizon. Even with all the advances we’ve made societally, how much better off are those communities? They are targeted by white progressives with policies to keep them reliant upon the government, while slowly eroding the ethical fabric as white execs push pop culture that glorifies moral decay. Despite the lip service being paid by those who “support” them, this is all by design. Not for the betterment of black communities, but for continued hopelessness, leading to increased reliance on those who feed them crumbs. So while, yes, we no longer have slavery or apartheid, they are being targeted, daily, by political and cultural warfare. Most of it keeping them static or making things worse.
  13. How much of the crowd could we realistically have? A quick scroll on Twitter has account after account saying London is flooded with Bills fans. I know a typical London game will have quite a bit of of British fans wearing random team gear. Is there a segment of tickets reserved for overseas folks? Or could this truly become a pseudo-home game?
  14. Anyone else think we’re trending towards Jackson/Elam starting on Sunday? Benford is listed as questionable and was in a red non-contact jersey all week.
  15. The dude has been a locker room issue for both teams he’s played on.
  16. This is Mike Evans “Buffalo Soldier” moment. He’s a Bill.
  17. I love this team so much..
  18. For me, on an iPhone, I paste the link, hit return and then wait a second or two and the link embeds.
  19. The beauty of having a deep DL is for situations like this. Epenesa has looked good out there, and as long as we have Jones/Oliver wrecking interior OL’s with Floyd on the other side, I still feel good about this group. Hopefully Von is able to be given the green light to rotate in on passing downs, and then we can probably let Rousseau rest for as long as needed to get back to full strength.
  20. This crew loves throwing flags and then not calling penalties.
  21. “Edmunds almost” drink
  22. This dude is insanely fun to watch.
  23. Sam Howell is trying to drag this team towards a chance to win.
  24. Rivera has no feel for the game. Howell gives you a run like that.. crowd and team energized. You go for it there.
