when it comes down to it the NFL is a bunch of old wealthy white guys who dont like their employees telling them what to do. Sanders wanted to do his own thing, well, that usually has consequences in the real world. do i believe the NFL colluded? sure, theyve been caught multiple times, zero reason to think otherwise. we all have to know our place in this world. you want to rock the boat, pick a fight with somebody bigger than you, you better know you can win. just how it is.

its hard to say because you dont know what Jefferson would have done here if drafted. theres far too many variables to say one way or another. coaching matters, style of offense matters, playcalling matters. maybe he doesnt like Buffalo and dogs it, etc, etc, etc.

if Gabe is brought back, its because nobody has shown they can block in the run game like Hollins did last season. Gabe did it before he chased his bag so i have zero issue with this with one caveat, if Gabe isnt physically able to do that dirty work anymore, then we dont need him. he will be cheap though if signed. people are assuming this is about catching passes. its not. its run blocking and special teams.

if you cant rush the passer, cant stop the run consistently, and cant cover, then i guess its time to make some changes on D. this isnt about preseason. its about being near the bottom in pass coverage the last couple of seasons. which coincides with the loss of Hyde and Poyer. this team just cant get both sides of the ball working at the same time. even back in the Kelly days one side of the ball rolled while the other struggled. you know how you make an average defense better? cheat. ask the Patriots. knowing what the other team is going to do with their plays is a huge advantage, one many teams exploit in this league. hell, Cowboys did it against the Bills back in the day. im not saying go out there and outright cheat. theres plenty of grey areas that teams will and do exploit. figure it out. knowing is half the battle. you cant be the "good" guys and hope to win. you have to make it happen. ive learned this from corporate Murica and our politicians btw.

imagine at some point we wont have to worry about Hamlin not playing well. Rapp will most likely take him out in a friendly fire hit with the rest of our defensive backfield. ive never been more convinced that this team isnt going anyplace before a season starts. the safeties are brutal. i want Po and Hyde from 4 years ago to show up ready to play. this team is going to waste a MVP/future HoF QB. the story will be sadder than Marino's. five years from now when Josh isnt MVP caliber anymore, the fans will look back and wonder why the defense wasnt better. why the front office didnt or couldnt go get that game wrecker that the D has always needed.

we need a true game wrecker on defense that can make impact plays on the QB. i dont have a name, but a hall of fame caliber EDGE or DT thats so disruptive the other teams have to gameplan for him. Von was our one shot and he looked the part until the injury hit him. you need to get to Mahomes, Lamar and Burrow. you cant sit back and play coverage and hope to beat them consistently.

not really enjoying this Hard Knocks. feels boring and contrived imo. i imagine non Bills fans think its a waste of time to watch. you watched Hard Knocks to get behind the scenes. all we're seeing is a commercial for the team.

Josh is in his prime. need that game wrecker on defense to climb the last hill. id mortgage the future like the Rams did for just one Super Bowl. you want to win, you have the QB, now get this defenses Bruce Smith. its now or never, Mahomes and Reid arent going away. its an arms race. 5 years down the line do you really want to think about what could have been? when Josh isnt MVP material anymore and the team is barely making the playoffs? do it while u can.

mostly because if Cook doesnt have a dominate run OLine in front of him, i dont think he puts up those numbers, and doesnt get paid like this. so sacrificing a top tier OLine because Cook wanted to be overpaid puts the team in a bad spot. has nothing to do with the other skill positions. i dont believe anybody else to be overpaid at the moment.

glad hes signed. needed to get done before the season started. if this has any future ramification on paying the OLine, then its a problem. hes a weapon, but not an every down weapon. you cant pay top dollar for those kind of luxuries and pay for whats more important. heres hoping no future problems. nothing against James btw, he deserved a raise of some sort.

cant run a screen since Thurman, cant stop a screen since forever.

starting to get Marty Schottenheimer vibes from McD. ive always stood up for him but something isnt working with his side of the ball. we cannot waste JA17 in his prime with terrible playoff defenses. yes theres been injuries, yes theres been unbelievable bad luck at times at some point the defense has to hold playoff teams to under 20. im not sure what the problem is tbh. all i know is that most teams who win, years later we find out that they had special inside knowledge of what the other team wanted to do. nobody ever gets in trouble for it, so why arent we looking for that same edge? mbe we are and just never find it. its troubling. im not suggesting cheating btw, theres a fine line, a grey zone between being the good guys, and being winners.
