  1. as long as we have JA17, the window is still wide open.
  2. sorry, i dont trust Bill. he was a-- as a head coach before Brady, and hes been a-- since. i truly wonder just how much of the cheating led to their dynasty. Bill has always been a good D coordinator but he always seemed to know what the other team was doing. the things the Pats got busted for doing over the years, are most likely the tip of the iceberg. there was so much smoke, there had to be a fire. Bill has also proven that he cant develop anything on the offensive side of the ball, beyond 1 QB, and thats with having full control as GM for all those years. i doubt he comes to the Bills with zero GM power. btw, the Pats also started to struggle as Brady got older, and the Pats were clamped down upon by the NFL for their extracurricular activities. then Brady leaves and immediately wins another ring. i dont buy Bill. i think the rest of the league doesnt buy him either anymore.
  3. theres always big name vets that get dropped and want to stay in the league on a vet or prove it deal, or can be had for a low round pick heading into training camp. might be the way Beane goes.
  4. think Josh probably harbors no ill will towards Diggs. im sure hes a bit relieved. it opens the door for Allen to be the lone top dog now. there are no bigger voices. actually means something in a team environment.
  5. the teams are all throwing darts at a board with their eyes half shut. its mainly what happens when the player gets with the team, and how the team handles the player after that. good organizations, good coaching, matters more. all these guys are fast and big, its about how theyre used and brought along. for instance, you wouldnt want to draft a CB whos only good at man to man, if your defense plays zone 90% of the time. teehee. there is one caveat to this though, if you know a guy is a one hit wonder, or gives up on plays early, etc, doesnt matter how talented they are, probably going get half assed work out of them. need to stay away from that like the plague.
  6. yep agree, theres always risk. cant get away from it. one of the reasons i want Harrison Jr over anybody else, not only is he a stud, but he seems the lowest risk.
  7. Josh still in his prime, team is about as good as its going to get. now is the time. you want a Super Bowl? you need to win now. do what it takes to grab one of the top 3 receivers in this coming draft, preferably Harrison Jr.. its going to cost a ton, but it doesnt matter, you need a top young receiver on the cheap and its now or never. every year Josh is getting older, and injuries do happen, more so when players start to age. go for it.
  8. one huge difference between Jr and his father and uncle. they both mattered, were trying to challenge and or change existing parts of the govmint that some very very powerful people were not happy about changing. Jr, isnt important, hes a nobody with a famous name. so Aron can take a break and.....relax.... and stop worrying.
  9. i liked what Phillips brought at times. guy just couldnt stay healthy though, and there were times where he drew dumb penalties. wish him the best, hope he can stay healthy.
  10. i dont know Parsons. im told hes the best defensive player in the league atm. is it him? the guys around him? the scheme? the play calling? the coaching? or a mix of all, or none? who really knows. Football is the ultimate team game. everybody has to perform for this guy to be able to do what he does. maybe hes a headache, or maybe he just wants to win before hes pushed out of this league. some guys are motivated by the money, some are motivated by winning it all, some both. whatever, id still take a flyer on him if we had cap space, has to be better than Von at this point.
  11. great player, bad human. wont be missed.
  12. not surprised by the move. a bit surprised there was a trade partner. his salary is immense for the production he put out last season along with his age. not going to pretend to know what was going on behind the scenes at OBD, but, Diggs was a pro, a team captain, took a pounding and always showed up, until recently. maybe he wanted out, maybe he dogged it a bit to force his way out. we do know that he wants to play with his brother, so moving onto Texas at least gets him closer. ty for your time here Stefon, was exciting nearly every week. to all those that see this as an incoming homerun swing into the top 5 to nab a receiver, be careful, receiver is the hardest spot to transition from college to the pros. top guys flame out or take years to produce, all the time. sure theres been a handful of guys lately that were plug and play, but thats not the norm. short of grabbing Harrison Jr, i wouldnt even bother. ideally what you want to do is exactly what Beane did those years ago with Diggs, you want to find an established guy 1 or 2 years into showing consistency, and trade for that. the draft is a crap shoot.
  13. well, good for Justin i guess. im sure hes already beyond hope spending 3 years as a Bears QB. maybe he can revive his career with an organization not known for ruining QBs on a regular basis. gl with the Bears Caleb, yer gonna need it.
  14. Keenan has been so injury prone over his career, his contract, age. makes sense to me. tons of talent, when hes actually on the field.
  15. this douchebags record pretty much solidifies him being back in jail again eventually. probably will do something even worse in the future. but hey, go Chefs right? gj Missouri governor.
  16. look some guys, just rub people the wrong way. doesnt matter how talented they are. people looking for obvious racial thing in all this. i dont see it. theres more here, theres been whispers before about him not being head coach material, has nothing to do with his color. not everybody becomes a head coach, million legit reasons why.
  17. nobody is trading anything for Diggs, coming off a strange season, at his age, with his ginormous cap hit. so get that out of your heads. need a CB, LB depth, Safeties, and at the very least a true #2 WR, preferably one that can ascend to WR1. hard to hit on those late round picks every year. alot of work to do. theres also the need to replace Floyd. as long as Josh is still a top 5 QB, the window will always be open.
  18. nobody, even the Chefs, knew that Mahomes would become what he did. he came from an air raid offense in college which nearly everybody in the NFL thinks is hot garbage, that inflates the stats of every QB that plays in it. you put Mahomes on nearly every other team and he probably goes from sure fire HoFer to possibly a middling QB that does nothing. its always about the right fit and situation. im sure he put in the work to get himself to where he is, but theres alot more to it than just him. zero way to predict. all these paid professionals are just throwing darts at a dart board just like the rest of us. sometimes they get really lucky.
  19. i dont really get Brady wanting to do this. i see the money, that i get, but beyond that, doesnt seem right for him. care less if Greg goes or stays, he wasnt terrible imo, but the whole thing just looks weird to me.
  20. good for Brady i guess. hope he figures out how to scheme our receivers open next season.
  21. zero interest in this game. im old enough, watched enough of the NFL, that im tired of it except when the Bills play. i love football, but after multiple decades of garbage on and off the field around the league, i just cant care about the Super Bowl anymore minus my team. im sure this matchup is what the NFL wanted though. after we lost i didnt watch any of the games. quietly hoped Baltimore would win just to send the Chefs home but honestly didnt want Baltimore to win either. NFC side, could care less about most of the teams. im bitter and jaded at this point, not a gambler, so ill find something better to do. hell, even the commercials during the Super Bowl are boring now.
  22. wouldnt take Campbell. not many coaches out there id even remotely consider to replace McD. i get the frustration by this fanbase, but imo its misplaced. when it comes down to it, the players have to make plays. McD has fielded a top defense nearly every year as coach. D struggled this year for the obvious reasons, injuries, and it was still nearly good enough. McD doesnt call the offense, so cant get on him about that. he tooks us to a playoff game with friggen Tryrod. its really easy to second guess everything post failure, but honestly, it comes down to the players. he cant catch for them, he cant tackle for them. all he can do is put them in the best spots to succeed.
  23. look, McD has always wanted the offense to protect his defense. meaning running the ball instead of Josh sitting back there like a target and throwing 40 times per game. its why he and Daboll had issues, its why he and Dorsey had issues, and its why Diggs has less production. he's not going downfield nearly as much as he has in the past, its short screen garbage that every D knows is coming and blows up almost immediately, or stuff over the middle that Josh cant seem to hit with any regularity anymore. Diggs is out there busting his ass, getting pounded nearly everytime he touches the ball, making great grabs at times, and not saying a word about how his numbers have fallen off a cliff because of above. yall need to stfu. i guarantee you Diggs has an injury nobody knows about.
  24. i really dont get this Sherfield hate. he didnt drop that long pass, he only had ONE ARM to catch with. if you actually watch the replay, its a clear foul on the Chefs CB. obviously not called, but hey, Sherfield is baaaaaad right? things didnt go our way, time to whine and cry about every little dropped pass, penalty, etc, etc, etc. line up the whipping boys, fans need something to B word about. pathetic.
