  1. Beyond terrible. I cannot even imagine what the purpose of any of this is. A complete waste for player evaluation or development.
  2. 343….22 yards for the half come on!
  3. Dane Jackson….come on man!
  4. At what point to we see the players that we’re told are fighting for their professional lives? So far I’m seeing very little effort from anyone.
  5. Augie, having toured the entirety of new stadium and then attended the Giants game last week I can tell you, and everyone else, that other than the fact that both stadiums are/will be the home of the Buffalo Bills there is virtually no comparison between the two venues. The new stadium is light years ahead of the existing one with regards to supporting facilities, amenities, etc. Two things struck me the most. First was how enclosed the new stadium feels. The stands and the roof overhang completely surround the field making the ‘feel’ inside the seating bowl very different from the open air feel of ‘Rich’ stadium. Second, the sheer volume of the concourse areas is nothing like the spartan corridor of the current facility. It’s like comparing a modern professional venue to an old school small college facility.
  6. Did Ray also kick a 50 yard field goal? If not, it you have to dream much bigger! 😉
  7. It’s something that puzzles me about the current rendition of the Bills. It seems there’s a disconnect between the players skill sets and the coaching staff. If you know, or at least you think, the Cook isn’t that good of a blocker then why not design an offense that doesn’t require him to be one? Let’s face it, the opposing coaches are watching our personnel sets, and I have to imagine that the minute they see Cook on the sideline they have pretty good idea of what the Bills are calling.
  8. Is that Cook’s fault? Or is it the way the coaching staff manages their roster? They do the exact same thing with the D line, and I recall so many plays when Diggs was off the field. It’s just what the Bills do.
  9. The summary story on ESPN app includes the top contracts on the Bills roster. What shocked me is that Groot is making close to TWICE what Cook got. I don’t recall the big dust up over that deal. I can’t see how Groot is worth that sort of compensation….geeez!
  10. Exactly where it should be. Well done Beane
  11. Jack, if you’re in the upper deck, you’ll be covered.
  12. I, myself put in a solid effort out there today. It was toasty but I toughed it through to the ‘bitter’ end.
  13. I expect holding calls to be a challenge but that intentional grounding call against Winston was just terrible. We were sitting right in line with the throw and the receiver broke inside instead of outside right when Winston released the throw to the end zone.
  14. If you’re referring to the NFL Network crew I’m going to assume that was probably their best effort. They’re typically terrible. 😂
  15. Having been at the game today, the refs are clearly working the rust off. Absolutely horrible and repeatedly confused from start to finish. Geeez
  16. They’ll be great. Unlike the existing stadium, the concourse rooms (restrooms and snack bars) rim the OUTSIDE meaning that the public concourses face inward so you can still see the field while you’re in line. Those rooms therefore block the wind.
  17. Yes, there is a narrow slit above the top of the upper deck, just below the roof. The perforated panels cover that slit. They haven’t installed many yet up at that level but they’re getting really close.
  18. Most definitely, much if not all of the concourse will be open air. Think about it. You won’t go through doors with air-lock vestibules to get out into the seating bowl while carrying your beer. So yes, the perforated panels will definitely help cut down on wind in the concourses (which are huge by the way). It’s the precast concrete grandstands themselves that block the wind inside the bowl. Hope that helps.
  19. Many people on here know I’m an architect, and a high level one. (Not trying to brag…honestly.) I used those connections with people I know in the industry. It took a bit of coordination.
  20. It is primarily the upper deck that’s under the roof, but what’s hard to communicate is that the mid levels are under the cantilever of the levels above them. And…unlike at the current stadium, the upper deck goes all the way around the field, so it’s actually a much larger percentage of the total capacity from the current stadium’s.
  21. It’s exactly as advertised. Both the renderings and photos are deceiving because of the distortion caused by the height and pitch of both the roof and upper deck. And by the way, the view from up on top of the roof is amazing, even if fans won’t ever go up there. It’s tall!!!
  22. After a lot of logistical coordination I got a personal tour of the new stadium construction site today. A real bucket list item for a long practicing Architect and long time Bills fan. The place is huge and very impressive. Attending games in the new stadium will be nothing like the current experience. Standing at the field level I was struck by how tall and enclosed it feels. And, I answered a few of my own questions: First, the scaffolded ‘dance floor’ suspended from the roof is just to install conduit from and to the lights and speakers (as others suspected). The underside of the roof is just too high above the upper deck seating bowl to reach with any other lifts or cranes. Second, the wind confusion panels are indeed nothing more than perforated metal architectural panels that open up to the interior concourses in a few spots but I believe they are mostly decorative. It’s really the height and full circle enclosure that’ll be the biggest factor in reducing wind inside the bowl. If anyone has any questions, I’ll do my best to answer them. Go Bills!
  23. Yes, but if you read through the smelling salts thread you’ll find that those ‘hot chicks’ must be provided directly by the player. Neither the NFL nor the Team can provide hot chicks directly to the players. At least not during the game.
  24. Excellent! Did you have to get to the departing ‘terminal’ super early to make sure they had room for you on the bus to the stadium?
