  1. Value in the draft is a made up thing. It doesnt matter where you draft a guy. Does he fit the scheme can he play. First 3 rd should be playing. Can Bernard play? Yes. Alot? Probably not. When they go 4-3 I expect he has more than a shot to be the third lb. He provides better coverage skills than the other backers behind Edmunds and Milano. The perception of the pick is neg because many want a Edmunds replacement. He is not. I think he is the special team ace third baker on the cheap to allow the team to extend Edmunds.
  2. I do not think it is a coincidence that Brady is brought on board and the offense looks for a multipurpose back. Brady from New Orleans. I think Cook is somewhere between Reggie Bush and Alvin Kamara. Reggie Bush as a Saint was a problem. I wont limited him as a runner. Buffalo is not a run heavy team. A few good running looks that are schemed up Cook will take advantage imo.
  3. Kromer is a zone scheme guy. He wants athletic lineman.
  4. It is what every Qb over 30 says. Whenever a team drafts a non clipboard holder the starter gets salty. Willis isnt that. He is guy who can throw as well or better than Tannehill.
  5. I understand the premise. I think Mckenzie is facing a larger numbers game than Wallace. Crowder is the slot. Shakir might be the best slot in the draft. They drafted Stevenson last year. Stevenson and Shakir will fight for return jobs with him. Cook imo will get a large portion of the manufactured touches. I like Mckenzie as a player. I think the team likes him. I question his role on the team moving forward. I think he is insurance, but if a younger guy or 2 step up he could be left out.
  6. Wydermeyer will be the new undrafted All pro of camp. He will basically, need to out ugly Sweeney. All the dirty stuff, blocking, teams and good locker room guy. He is a slow TE, he better maul dudes blocking.
  7. Mckenzie was allowed to test the market and came back 2 years in a row on below market deals. The league has said how it feels about Mckenzie. Buffalo to an extent has shown how it values Mckenzie. If Shakir beats him out for Wr 4 he is on the bubble. Shakir and Stevenson offer cheaper return options. Kumerow is almost a lock for his blocking and teams ability with some decent hands and size. How many Wrs do they keep? I feel it comes down to Stevenson and Mckenzie. Cook is probably they guy you do the gadget stuff with now. Its a legit question. Makes the preseason intriguing to see who steps up.
  8. With Allen every play can be a pass and probably is. This isnt 95 and Buffalo is going to line up in pro set on first and second down. Buffalo will still run heavy 3 wide sets. Cooks allows Buffalo to move to more spread looks because Cook can run actual routes very well. Go even further. Go 2 te with Diggs, Davis, Knox and Howard. You can run traditional outside or inside zone. Defense plays 3 linebakers now you can line Cooks outside or in the slot. The ability to go to so many formations without tipping your hand will create big plays on offense.
  9. Try Cook as the starter and Singletary as the back up. I expect Cook to have a role and the more he produces the more snaps he gets. I think Cooks fits the offense perfectly. I find it hard to believe he wont be successful here. Cooks still rushed for over 6 yards a carry for his career at Ga in the SEC. If Singletary and Moss are productive under a volume share maybe they go Cooks and Johnson.
  10. I think he is instantly the 4th wr. Fills in at any of the top 3 spots.
  11. I think he should be. Very explosive guy. 6 ypc in the SEC. He has the chance to be an impact rookie. Buffalo is high on him. I expect they have a plan for him. In a high powered offense he will have a role.
  12. Elam does not have an agent. In any profession these are the things others would call corny. That stuff is the difference in being successful or average. With his god given ability Elam could still be an average player but the notebook and work ethic are what can make him be great.
  13. I think he becomes the 4th wr very quickly. Outside and slot back up. He will be the steal of the draft imo. Maybe not a superstar but he will be solid.
  14. He adds what the offense has lacked. Some who can take it to the house. Use him like Kamara. Teams want to sit in 2 high, good luck. I predict he is the starter by thanksgiving. Very young, 21? Easily, could add a few pds. Size, ie weight is becoming less a requirement to play in the NFL.
  15. Pat Mcafee was drafted to be a punter and never punted or held. It work out. Ariza seems like a natural kicker. If he wants to play in the NFL he will figure out how to hold. Pretty athletic guy so this could open up some special team trickeracion too. Haack needed to be replaced. Ariza is an interesting option. Hopefully, he turns out like Bass.
  16. Milano was similar size aswell. Darius Leonard is smaller. People want to move on from Edmunds. Many prefer Milano to Edmunds. Beane drafts a guy like Milano. Fans, whoa bad pick. I never heard of him. Im also no a pro scout. No one heard of Milano, Taron Johnson, or Gabe Davis either. They felt strongly to invest a pretty high pick in him in a position of need. I think he plays sooner rather than later. He shows enough I could see him playing Will and move Milano to mike if Edmunds isnt extended.
  17. Cook could be very good.
  18. Stay at 57 and pick Walker.
  19. Im curious as who will be available when Buffalo is on the clock. Like last night do they jump a spot or 2 to get there guy. I think any position is in play but Qb. I would like a wr to make it but find it unlikely. Expect possible safety or TE.
  20. Elams dad played for them. I think he was on their radar. Either was a 4th to know for sure? Why not. The can easily move the 6th and 5th to get into the 4th if needed.
  21. This regime cares about intangibles as much as on the field production. What is not known from Youtube videos is how these guys interview and what they know about these guys. My biggest take away was Beane saying Kaiir asked what made White become great. Also, what himself could work on and what holes the Bills saw in his game. Your paying multi millions to a 20,21, or 22 year old. What kind of mind set do they got. Buffalo feels Elam will work to be the best he can. In Buffalos eyes its a no brainer.
  22. Big, fast, and young. Fits the profile. Has the tools to become a guy. From a NFL family. Feel like the biggest hole on the roster was just filled.
  23. Is she going more pop culture or heading up Amazons NFL coverage.
  24. When they face 6 man boxes they have to take advantage. Forcing teams out of 2 high will open up more for Allen. Im not wanting for Buffalo to be balanced. I would like them to be more opportunistic when running. Having the ability to run was the difference in both the Atlanta game and Jacksonville game. The running game put the Atl game out of reach. Not having that same element allowed Jacksonville to win the game.
  25. Modern NFL mike is the hardest position to grade on defense. You dont know there assignment so how can you determine his responsibility. Imo, if Edmunds was what his detractors wanted him to be he would be the best LB in the NFL. I think he has the ability in him to be it at times. I feel like he is a solid player, above average and is asked to do things for our defense only a few humans can.
