Is it worth seeing if Antonio Williams should get a shot?
Mat68 replied to Lothar's topic in The Stadium Wall
Singletary should be the lead back. Breida change of pace. I Would consider Williams for the power back role. Short yardage and goal line. Biggest runs this year have been Singletary and Brieda. I think Moss needs to sit. -
They remind be of a basketball team. Played great on Christmas than coasted to the playoffs getting the 5th or 6th seed. Football that usually doesnt work. Teams that win it have good Decembers. Buffalo needs to stack wins.

Alright. Last year Buffalo made the AFC championship game. Mcdermott and his defense made the playoffs 3 out of 4 years. This past offseason with the shrink of cap space I think the only option was to bring our FA back. Williams was an All pro caliber RT. Milano was suppose to cost too much to bring back. Buffalo was a popular Superbowl pick. Also, there record was projected to be 11 to 12 wins. That all is still in play. Calling into question the roster construction at 7-5, 1 game out of first place in the conference is laughable to me. Bills Mafia needs to take a deep breathe, take a shot, take a hit whatever. Still in the thick of it. Yes they need to play better as a whole. Im not gonna burry em until they are dead.

Can he pick up the blitz. Thats the most important aspect of any of the rbs playing. This week isnt the week to “find an idenity”. TB is extremely good against the run. Use multiple formations but I see this beinf a game they start throwing it 20 or so in a row. -
Buffalo should be able to take advantage of Tampas secondary. The oline will need to have their best game. Buffalo needs to lean on Beasley and use Breida or Mckenzie or Stevenson on jet motion to get the defense moving side ways. The run game has no chance vs them. The Bills are what they are. Dont fight it. Lean into it. Chuck that pig skin all over the yard.

No it doesn’t. Buffalo playing the #1 seeds in the conference back to back weeks. They were a 3 point favorite at home and -3 on the road in the other. Vegas has more faith than the media and 80% of Bills Mafia.

MYTH Busted: "The Defense couldn't stop the Run"

No excuses. Calling it like I see it. Is it the end of the world? No. Did it suck as a fan? Yes. -
First two this season were bad. The last 2 including Monday night the defender was clearly in the neutral zone. Free play. I feel like the refs are being more stingy with it when Buffalo led the league last year.

They did win the following week

Another big game. I think the overall constitution of The Bills fan base is terribly low. As soon as the a bad play happens the “same ole Bills”. Bad game “same ole Bills”. This is not 2008. Remember all those years we begged for meaningful football? Now we got it and the majority cant stomach it. You can see it watching home games games on tv. First sign of adversity the stands deflate like they are watching one of the sorry Bills teams of years past.

At every level of football. Its easier to get big runs when the box is full to stop it. One seem is all you need. When you got secondary in off coverage and a saftey deep you have faster guys on angles. Its sucks. The game was a tough watch. The defense stood up and made stops when they had to late. Was it enough to win? Not on Monday night. I think the question many are asking and probably the feeling of the defense themselves is it couldve been enough. In most cases should have been enough to win. -
I havent been to a home game in years due to proximity. Imo the constitution of Bills Mafia is terribly low. 7-5 and people are quitting? You quit in the 2000’s. They went on a playoff run you jumped back in. See ya in the playoffs when you give em another chance.

The offense needs to stop chasing something they are not. Look at the defense, find matchups or schemes you can exploit, and attack. That means throw it 59 times throw it. Running to run on first down needs to stop. They cant change anything now. Dance with who you took to prom and figure the rest out later. -
The team goes as the offense goes. It goes as Allen goes. Games Allen plays well they normally win. Like 90% of the time. They do not have a curve ball. The Bucs are not a team you try to “enforce your will” against. Buffalo should just accept what they are. They are a pass first team. Mcdermott wants to change that do it in March. Right now move the ball down the field. Design some swing passes and short passes to Beasley. Use that to augment the run game.
-
Who do you bring in that is an upgrade??
-
Time is coming for the Bills to put it together. Will they? Idk. Can they? I think so. To win the AFC east Buffalo will need to win out imo. Tampa is a good team as well. Lets see what Mcdermott does. Probably the toughest season in his tenure. The Bucs are a good team. Winning there might provide the team with the swagger and confidence they lost in Tennessee.

14 points. Buffalo had the ball 2 times in the 4th inside the 10 and got 0 points. A team is not dominated when they had 2 separate chances to take the lead in the last 8 mins of the game. -

Holding a team to 14 points is not sucking. 14 is less than what Buffalo allows a game. Half the amount of points that New England scores a game. The offense scoring 10 points was the issue. -

Still resulted in 14 points and 0 in the 4th quarter. The offense missed too many opportunities. -
The other team didnt allow the Qb to throw at all because of the wind. For what it was Josh did a heck of a job, no one outside stepped up and made a play. Diggs catches that deep pass Buffalo very well wins. Alot of ifs. Gotta make the plays. Last year guys stepped up and made plays in tight spots. This year not so much.

This. Also, in the bucket of empty yards… Had to be about 70 plus yards on third and long that came up well short. Im not saying Buffalo was the steel curtain last night but the run dominance is over stated. -
Tampa doesnt have the secondary. Front 7 is stout. Lets see what the offense can do. They have been underwhelming.
-
Buffalo lost the game. Ne didnt win it. Defense tightened up in the second half. Offense makes 1 more play they win the game.

Is it time to be concerned about a lack of 4th Q heroics?

I dont think we can blame Allen for the accuracy of his passing when the other team wouldn’t pass at all in the elements. They didnt want to go 3 and out on those drives.
