  1. I dont think anyone is being attacked. The Taylor debate over the past 2 seasons has really fascinated me. During the QB battle and Rexs first year it was pretty much universal thought that if Buffalo found even adequate quarterback play Buffalo would be a contender. Buffalo was projected preseason that year to have the worst QB play in the league. What turns out Buffalo found a player in Taylor. He suprisingly become one of the most efficent Qbs in the NFL top 10. Led an offese the was one of if not the most productive since the 90s. Now instead of looking at the defensive wizard Rex and wondering what happened to a Top 5 defense a large portion of Bills fans picked apart Taylors game instead. A bunch of outliers where created. He cannot carry an offense, he cannot throw over the middle, he cannot throw over 300 yards, He is not clutch, and he cannot run a 2 minute offense. So last year again he plays similar to his first year. First half of the year Mccoy looks like a differant player and the games were over going into the 4th and the team is using a 5 min offense. About week 10 Buffalo looks about average. The offense is down quite a few players. From that point on Taylor pretty much knocks off every qualifer and something he cannot do he does. The year ends in disaray. Rex fired, they give away the final game of the year. Again the offense is one of the most productice units the team has had in 20 years. Taylor ends the year throwing over 300 yards nearly securing a fairly large comeback in the forth quarter only for the defense to wash it all away. I do not understand the distain and dislike of Taylor as a Quarterback. He makes 2 or 3 plays a game only a handful of quarterbacks in the history of the game could make. He is not Brady he is not Rodgers. But give him a defense that doesnt give up in the forth quarter and he is every bit as good as russel wilson.
  2. I thought the book was out on Taylor? Take away the sideline throws and the occassional deep ball. He is rendered useless because he cant throw over the middle?
  3. At his floor he is a good run defender average to below average pass rusher. Im fine with him playing first and second down as essentialy a rookie. Sacks are flashy but developing an everydown DE is hard to find too. I think by mid season he earns those passing down reps. He makes a few plays on first and second down on the qb he earns the money third and long. Right now loarax rushing is smart becauae he is a better pass rusher at this point.
  4. I applaud your effort here. Some of the line work is easy to see and break down. I wonder on the Clay redzone series. After the batted down pass that drift you refer too, is it possible he drifted and was late so be would have a better passing lane amd avoid to passes batted?
  5. Kinda has the energy of Carrol... Idk if he is the same defensive mind or coach bit like the positive fiery energy.
  6. It is obvious to me that Clay is the guy he trust the most. Was a tight window but that is a play your premier TE needs to make...
  7. He was drafted where above average athletes who are complete DEs go. Remimds me alot of Tamba Hali out of pennstate. Not a premier edge rusher but was instantly solid against the run and developed into a 10 sack guy.
  8. Who are the Elite teams?? Right now I dont see any. Every team has weaknesses. Oakland I see as the most complete. Healthy Mccoy and competant defense they have the chance to be in every game.
  9. Last year he cant carry the offense. Did so vs Seattle in Seattle. He cant throw over 300 yards. Did so vs Miami. He wont use the TE. Over the last 4 games Clay leads the team in touchdown catches ans led the team in catches last year. This offseason and for 2 years, he cant throw over the middle. Goes 7-8 I believe. As a Bills fan I am happy with Taylor as a QB. Does everything you ask of him. Give him a defense that wont fold in the 4th quarter and he will lead us to the playoffs.
  10. Its a nice refrain from the smurf wrs. Taylor isnt supremely accurare. Always thought tall wrs would help taylor pick them up.
  11. I dont think it was touched but i do think the presence in his periperal pushed the ball left.
  12. He is a Prototypical LE in a 4-3. With him not being a quick twitch edge rusher I expect him to take a little bit of time to develop pass rush moves and counter moves. I expect he will hustle himself into 5 to 6 sacks this year while he develops.
  13. Thought to be better than Demerious Thomas coming out. He just struggled with tracking the deep ball and using his size and frame. Plays like Goodwin but much taller.
  14. Im interested to see how he does vs Kuechly. To me this is a game where he wont be head and shoulders best player on the field. I see Taylor winning us this game if we indeed win.
  15. This is an added benefit to having an early bye. Some of these players brought in the last week get time to assimulate and after the bye be productive on the active roster.
  16. Against Carolina I would keep Lawson outside and maintain good rush lanes. I like Lorax inside with Brown putting pressure on the A Gaps all game on passing downs. Rush or drop into coverage. Try to get cam to drop his eyes vs staying strong in the pocket.
  17. They are very similar teams. Run game good defense. Battle of wills to me. This looks like a tough fought time of possession and feild position type of game. If we win Haucska is the player of the game. Im a little concerned about the kicking timing. The kick that was missed I thought could have been blocked and the rush effect the outcome of the kick.
  18. Like Kubiac, I expect the passing attack to be geared towards the intermedate range. Some shots will be taken but wont be the concentration.
  19. This is going to be the test for Tyrod. I expect Luke Keuchly to limit Mccoy. I think Thompson spies Taylor. The middle of the feild should be open and there secondary will be the place to attack. Both of the teams have a similar style. Cam is an emotional guy. Get to him early get him on the ground and he can take himself out of the game mentaly.
  20. Whoever wins the TO battle wins this game. I like Taylor to protect ball over Cam. I think Carolina are more equipped defensively to cause fumbles. To me this seems like a fairly close game overall.
  21. Seems like good depth behind Humber. He had a great game but is older so risk of injury is high.
