I was confusec with the 2016-2017 aspect. I see why he is risky. I understand why some people would risk picking him. He is a late bloomer without alot of refinement. My prefrence for Buffalo is Rosen. Outside of Rosen I would go Allen. His upside is too great. You have professional coaches, coach him to reach his potential.

He going day 2. He is not just an emotional good story. He was the best player on the defense that has a first rd CB on. Wont be surprised he goes rd 2.

It's #2 Spot or no Trade-Up at All

Spot duty. He was't brought it as a starter. i get it you liked him since Alabama. He never beat out Dalton, the chances of him being anything more than a spot starter in the NFL is quite small. I am not going into 2018 as Mccarron as my unquestioned starter and leader. Maybe he is fantastic but more likely whoever Buffalo drafts early quickly becomes the starter. -
We May Need to Resign Ourselves to Allen at 5

Disagree. Bottom half of Rosen is thicker. Mayfield has no room to get bigger. Rosen could easily add 10 pounds. -

Baker has a smaller frame than Rosen. -

Mccarron has never started before. He was paid as a back up. -
Best, Realistic Scenario For Getting Our Guy
Mat68 replied to Domdab99's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you want Rosen you go to 2. There is no way Gettlman drafts a rb in a deep rb draft over 3 1s. Chubb is not Clowney, Garrett in terms of special. They need line help and they draft McClichky OT from Nd at 12. 22 they add another starter. -

I firmly believe Rosen is Buffalo's target. Buffalo didnt bring in a starter or a mentor. They brought in Mccarron to compete against the rookie. The only guy I think walks into any team and expects to take the job day one is Rosen. They dont risk him going somewhere else or falling. 3 1s to the gets for Rosen and a 5th. -

Cant assume any pick. Buffalo is not going to make a move up until the guy they want ia their. To me the most obvious conmection to me is Rosen to Buffalo. The media doesnt want it. They are all saying Giants or Jets. Looks like the next best Qb and hope he is in a big market. Most pro ready and Buffalo needs a day 1 starter at qb. He talked his way out of Cleveland Imo right into Buffalo. -
Who do you want the Bills to NOT draft.
Mat68 replied to CowgirlsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Baker Mayfield. -
I have seen Allen make every NFL throw needed. At his best Allen already does everything you need from a Qb in the NFL. In College teams usually win by out athleting the other team. Wyoming did not have the better roster in any game they played in 2017. He turned around a perenial buttom feeder school and won the most games in 2 years then the school has had in 30 years. I watch him and I see young Farve. He could be a bust. So could any of them. Give me the guy with the most abilty. I feel working on his footwork sures up some of his mis fires, and working in a modern offense will grant him the easy completions he went without in college. As a Bills fan, as much as Allen intrigues me personally, I think Rosen should be the guy because he seems the most ready now. Outside of Rosen they all have a fair level of molding and coaching.

Why I'm optimistic about this draft and the Bills' future
Mat68 replied to The Red King's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You think there are 6. Im saying their are 5. I have a prefrence like everyone, but any of them can be Franchise Qbs and be ready to go week 1. If after all the moves and stock piling picks and they pick Rudulph at 22 im very dissapointed. -

Yes you are. Rudolph is not close to the caliber of prospect the other 5 are. My wish list is Rosen, Allen, Darnold, Jackson, Mayfield. Buffalo needs a guy to come in a take the Job those guys can win in the NFL. The remaining Qbs are backups in the NFL with a hope they can be more. Buffalo has 2 of those qbs on the roster now, no need for another. -
Bills aggressively trying to get ahead of Jets
Mat68 replied to Jammer8732's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Same story for a month plus. Jets went to 3 because they couldnt get to the giants number. What is better than 3 second rd picks? 3 first rd picks. Buffalo traded to 12 and Taylor for 65 to pay 12,22,65 and 2019 first for 2. Buffalo has been operating like they are picking the Qb they want all through FA. Gettleman and Beane imo have a relatioship where neither will do favors because they are competing but they will talk straight. Beane knows the price. Who is it for? That is the million dollar question. -
Who in the Hell Is Mel Kiper, Jr?
Mat68 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He has surface knowledge of most of the guys drafted. Pushes them? No, by challenged he was the real first media member to blast poor picks on the spot. With todays tv deals and the NFL partnerships Kiper is more blunt good bad or indifferent than the other talking heads. Hes enteraining and he will rip a team for picking a guy he doesnt like.
