  1. This is what's plagued Andy Ried most of his career. He is quick to abandon the run and gets enamoured with pushing the ball down the field. September, October, November it works. December it works less and January not at all. In a long season late in the year it's a battle of wills. Who can run the ball and control the clock to wear down the opposing defense. A full season of plays have happened and there are little got you plays that results in big gains or TDs.
  2. It wouldn't be a dagger in the heart, but Allen going into Gillette and leading the Bill's to victory could be a foreshadowing of what's ahead. A Derek Anderson led Bill's had the ball in the red zone in a 1 possession game in the 4th quarter vs NE earlier this year. Buffalo will give NE all it can handle. Does NE have the athletic ability at LB to contain Allen on the ground? Maybe I'm wrong and Allen throws a bunch of picks, Brady has his best game of the year and the beat goes on.
  3. Its wasnt I deal. You do have to take into account context. Full speed running straight, stopping and throwing to the right corner of the endzone from the far side numbers about 40 yards in the air without feet or shoulders square is a 12 on a scale of 1 to 10 difficulty. Allen is one of 3 players in the sport who could pull that off.
  4. His velocity is a bit of an issue for his wrs. I will argue that and the wrs comfortably running propper scramble concepts is due to his limited reps in the offseason. Noodle arm Peterman and McCarron threw soft balls and Allen throws fast balls.
  5. If not this year I believe he does. I think the offense makes a big jump next year. If Allen develops Daboll will have the Qb whisperer Aura.
  6. What makes me optimistic is not any stat or advanced metric. He is the first Qb in a long time here that throws the team on his back and competes. Allen does not have the aid of a good or above average Offensive line. Allen does not have the aid of a competent running game. He does not have a wealth of above average pass catchers. How about the cliche a good QB makes those around him better? Foster cleared waivers 10 weeks ago every other team in the NFL said no thank you. He is now top in the NFL in yards per catch and has multiple 100 yard games. McKenzie has been cut multiple times, thought of as a return man only. After the last few weeks looks like a pretty nice slot wr.
  7. There isnt a player in the NFL that makes a better pass there. Maybe Rodgers? Maybe Mahomes? Not likely. What happens instead for Rodgers Graham makes that catch. For Mahomes Kelce makes that catch. Run back to the ball. Catch the ball on the 2. If you dont get in there is still 30 secs to spike it and get 2 more cracks at it. What about the play before it were Jones drops a back shoulder fade that hit him in the stomach?
  8. In all but one game he didn't start they were a complete dumpster fire.
  9. Zay is pretty useless beyond 20 yards. Doesnt track the ball and doesnt have good body control. On a team that is a vertical passing team that doesnt bode well going forward. McKenzie is a good 4 or 5th wr with st ability and developing slot wr. Foster looks like our best wr at the moment. His speed makes a difference and is consistently getting seperation.
  10. Jarvis Landry is a top 10 wr. There o line is top 5 and one of the highest paid units in the NFL. Chubb and Johnson is as good a combo in the NFL. Njoku is the freakiest player in NFL at TE. Baker has by far the best surrounding casts if all the rookies. Now he is playing well but circumstances matter especially when looking at production.
  11. Leveon Bell. Only stud offensive player available. Got the cap space, got the need.
  12. A guy who can successfully run every route, get yards after the catch and make 50/50 balls. You can get by with a guy who can do 2 out 3. Buffalo needs a guy who can win the 50/50 ball.
  13. Foster has built a good relationship with Allen. Imo he is firmly in the starting line up in 2019. Imo the only returning starter out of the backs, Te, and Wr.
  14. He is more than serviceable. Imo the issue with NFL o line is trying to move LTs to other OL positions as If its madden. Dawkins wasnt able to beat out Mills last year at RT. At LT his natural position he has performed much better. Enough to warrant a trade of often injured Glenn. In the middle rounds find a RT. Bring in a veteran a center and guard and Buffalos line will be much improved.
  15. The video is not terrible. From my understanding she called him the N word multiple times. Not justifying it but it's less severe than Joe Mixon. Pick up Hunt on the cheap.
  16. Foster is a keeper. #1? No. I say that because you cant scheme away a true #1. Now I will say he will dictate coverage. He could become a very good deep threat.
  17. Your never gonna get that out of him. That's what allows to make that attempt to Clay in Miami. His wr dont have the ability to make catches on one-one coverage that's on the Wr corp. Back shoulder fades he throws well. He just doesnt have anyone who can make those plays. Those plays you see Wrs make all over the league every week.
  18. I agree with that assessment. I think his ability he showed gives me promise that he can do that. Similar to Geoff and Trubisky. Buffalo will need an improvement to the run game to match those other offenses.
  19. No differant than Farve. He had some terrible Ints. He would argue that it worked out more than not. Now Allen has 1000% faith in his arm. He thinks he can fit the ball in any window. That gets him in trouble. His pick was no better or worse than Russell Wilson last night. Imo Allen gets a little cocky with the cross body throws. This will tone him down a bit. The one that ended the game I dont hate. He threw a 1 on 1 ball when they needed a chunk play.
  20. I would argue the drops may not be significantly more, but they are not making tough catches either. If the ball is not placed on the numbers the passes are not caught. Allen's completion % is the result of his play. He has more air yardage per attempt than any other rookie. He will routinely give up 5 to get 20. I dont know how much of that I would change. He is not perfect and I dont want him playing this way in years 2 and 3. I'm excited to see how he performs with better pass catchers and a more dynamic rushing attack. To me his strengths out way his weaknesses.
  21. I disagree get the ball outside the numbers as quick as possible. Seperation is there, the ball gets to him with time to gather and make a move to break a tackle. If he we are debating If he is throwing the ball too hard on a curl Buffalo needs better Wrs outside.
  22. So after this year Gm Jrober is trading or cutting Allen and doing what?
  23. That has to be the model. Philly, LAR, and Chicago. Buffalo has an above average and cheap defensive unit. This offseason Buffalo has the money and potential to make runs at top FA. Allen right now is an underground king. Not getting national attention but he really is balling. That paired with the new field house could be the cherry on top. I would go hard at Bell, Lawrence, and who ever they deem the top OT, OG, and C. Explore a trade for any pass catcher entering the last year of a deal.
  24. Funny, remember all the commercials and the hype surrounding Vick? Allen has rushed for more yards in a 3 game stretch than Vick did for any stretch of his career. Allen is the best athlete on the field when he plays. I dont know why he isnt getting more attention. Remember last year with Deshaun Watson? Allen is getting 0 love. Allen doesnt have the weapons Watson has or had. The Bill's have a guy to build around. He cleans up some small things Buffalo will be a darkhorse next year.
