The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19
njbuff replied to Hedge's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Hell, I just had my unemployment claim from March 14th finished YESTERDAY. The system has been BADLY overwhelmed. And knows if I even get it. Sad. -
Sad. I heard that Stallone loved the man. RIP Mr.Dennehy. Even sadder is I thought this man had already passed.

The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19
njbuff replied to Hedge's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I haven't worked since March 13th. It freaking feels like March 13th of 1999 since the last day I worked. I don't know how you other jobless folks are doing, but my insanity button is about to be pushed. ? We survived 9/11 over here and this virus is going to take forever to recover from? I don't buy it. -
SI Article: forget about sports this year
njbuff replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I realize that the overpopulated states like ours will take time, but if we can't defeat this virus by the end of May and have this country up and running by then............ we are going to have much bigger problems than the NFL. -
TSW Mock Draft 3.0 - 4 Rounds - Complete!!!
njbuff replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jordan Love should be a 5th round pick, not 5th overall. Yikes. I saw this guy NUMEROUS times in college and I always came away very unimpressed by him. To me it would be a Godsend to see the Dolphins select him 5th overall. -

Report - Browns in discussion with Vikings on OBJ trade
njbuff replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
People who wanna say that OBJ is the better player than Diggs..................... the number the last two years suggest otherwise and when it comes to "What have you done for me lately".................. Diggs gets the slight edge numbers wise. And in terms of talent on the field, Diggs doesn't take a backseat to anyone. That is why the Bills paid a heavy price for him. -
Which running back do you hope the Bills draft and why?
njbuff replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He had one hammy injury and it was a non-contact injury. He handled contact pretty darn well to me. Plus, he played 38 games in his three years at FAU. So, I don't know where you get that injuries are a problem. DS is better than you are giving him credit for, but the Bills need a RB2 they can trust, unless by some miracle they now trust Yeldon. -

I can buy that McDermott's decisions on the RB position have been rather shaky. But I don't know if it's his call or Daboll's call as to who actually gets the ball. -
My pick for the 2nd round - Jonathan Taylor
njbuff replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Two words....... Cam Akers. Simply put, Akers is a light years better all around RB and he has a better chance of being there at 54. Plus, McBeane likes those 5 star recruits. ? -

I can give you a ton of small, slow guys who were studs. I would expect Taylor to not be there at 54 anyways. -
Which running back do you hope the Bills draft and why?
njbuff replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No, Singletary is a stud, but he came up with a lame hammy his 2nd career game without anyone touching him. What the Bills need is someone whom they can trust to be the backup and be someone who can start if DS comes up lame again. Yeldon is obviously not that guy, as last years actions by the Bills tell you just that. Like I have said, the Bills expect to get RB2 out of this draft. I just don't know where though. -
Which running back do you hope the Bills draft and why?
njbuff replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
McDermott didn't trust Yeldon when it was obvious that Gore was running in cement shoes down the stretch. Now you think McDermott will trust Yeldon to be the main backup for an entire season? You are dreaming. If one of the top 5 RB's in this draft are there when the Bills pick at 54, I will almost bet anything they are taking a RB. -

The Bills have signed Evan Boehm. What can be bigger news than that? -
QB Class of ‘18 Stats and Evals going into year three
njbuff replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jim McMahon was a really good QB who never slid either. It cost him his career as he was injured not playing for far too often and his team a chance at an undefeated season in 1985. For the above posters who say that Allen should be more judicious in his running............. are correct, or he could be the next Jim McMahon. -
Backup running back - how about going back to 2018?
njbuff replied to Coach55's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is, but Akers is big time to me. If he is available at 54, the Bills gotta take him. He brings EVERYTHING to the table. -
Allen haters should be fumigating this thread starting at about 8am.

Josh Allen "Prove it" Season In Year 3
njbuff replied to longtimebillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not when it mattered most. Jackson is Steve Young before he won the SB. Young won the MVP in 1992 on 14-2 only to fall flat in the playoffs. Then he went on to win the MVP in 1994 and the SB. Let's see if Jackson can follow the same path. And Jackson could have reached his peak as an NFL player. We don't know that yet. We shall see.
