  1. I see your point, but I'd call it humility, not meekness. I interpreted it as, "I know my place right now, and I'll show swagger when I've earned it."

  8. I was feeling a little horse, but I got over it. (Yeah, I know - the spelling is different. It works better out loud.)
  9. I know someone whose Corolla just hit 400k. A lot of those were on the highway, as he had a 100-mile (round trip) commute to work.

  11. FAR less damage than the harm caused by fossil fuels. No technology is completely benign; the key is to minimize the damage.
  12. I'm not an accountant either, but I know that 15 years is less than never.
  13. That might work better for Gruden's team: Viva Las Raiders
  14. Alternate title: Interesting Tidbit I herd last night at the draft party
  15. Prices have fallen dramatically since then. These days, the payback period is between 7 and 15 years, depending on location and electric rates. 17. Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world. The heart has its beaches, its homeland and thoughts of its own. Wake now, discover that you are the song that the morning brings. The heart has its seasons, its evenings and songs of its own.
  18. But the biggest kick I ever got Was doing a thing called the Crocodile Rock While the other kids were Rocking Round the Clock We were hopping and bopping to the Crocodile Rock
