  1. I'm really not seeing that many impressive teams this year (so far).
  2. This one's a lay-up. NOT impressed w/ the Chiefs this year - and the Bills have surprised me. We'll see how the next few weeks go, but I'm thinking the Bills have an excellent chance for the 1 seed this year if they can stay relatively healthy.
  3. I'm not sure if it's so much that KC knows how to win games as it is that they have that "aura" now. We watched this so many years w/ the Pats - other teams make the crucial mistakes at the end of games. There is almost an intimidation factor there, where teams can almost feel the sense of deja vu and it gets in their head. That's certainly true when we play KC in the playoffs now. 2 games in, I don't think KC is any better than the Bills are. If they are, it's marginal. It's the psychological hurdle we have to get over.
  4. Mahomes is really hard to like.
  5. I wonder if Mahomes will rant & cry about how that penalty cost Kelce more "greatness."
  6. I wasn't thinking that this could be a year for the 1 seed. But I'm thinking it now.
  7. Oh, dear - Mahomes w/ another INT.
  8. It's hard to call any team "dominating" right now. The league looks pretty average.
  9. I'm going to play devil's advocate on this one: haven't other players (including Mitch Morse) had more concussions than Tua?
  10. I don't want to spoil anything, but we're beating the Jags this year. It's the only way the universe makes sense.
  11. There are some interesting storylines. I'm definitely stoked about the KC/Cincy game. For the 1st time, I'm thinking the 1 seed is possible for us this season. I want to see if the Pats defense is for real, or if Burrow just had a bad game. Colts/Packers is kind of fun, as is Browns/Jags. Are the Browns as bad as they seemed to be? But yeah - nothing is THAT intriguing. I'll still drink & eat a lot and chill knowing our team is 2-0 and one of the top 5 teams in the league.
  12. It was the most reasonable take I've seen him have on anything. Seems like it was pre-coffee or something.
  13. There are probably a half dozen or so ex Panthers LB's out there. I'm just spit-balling.
  14. I've decided that I'm going to believe it was tipped.
  15. I really enjoyed that write-up. Thanks, Virgil! I needed a good Oliver game. He had a few plays I saw that don't even show up in the stats, but had a huge impact on the play. I love our D this year. Didn't think I would. They had a bad half to start the season, and have been lights out since.
  16. Man, after craning my neck to look up at the Pats in the division standings - and usually the Jets and/or Phins - I'm really appreciating these days of being the team to beat in the east. And it's no fluke. We'll likely win most of the division titles as long as Allen is our quarterback.
  17. It makes almost no sense - which is why I'm confident in the win this time around. I don't think it's a match-up thing at all. Just a weird anomaly.
  18. You know, both Milano & Bernard - as we know - are on the smaller side, which is why we see multiple injuries w/ both. It might not be the worst thing to get both back later in the season so they can hopefully stay healthy into the playoffs.
  19. "Obnoxious?" It's a generosity of spirit, that benefits people - and it turns something negative into a positive. I'll take that kind of obnoxious behavior EVERY DAY. The world needs more of that. Much more.
  20. It feels like so much more of a "team" now - on both sides of the ball. I hate to make this comparison, but it's almost like that Pats that 1st year they won the SB. Everyone just doing their job, no one complaining, great complementary football. I gave up on Diggs after that sideline confrontation w/ Allen in the Cincy playoff game. Me-first all the way w/ that guy.
  21. Wow - that was really their biggest offseason signing. Big loss for them.
  22. Not this time, Jags. Not this time.
  23. Anyone who wants McDermott replaced should mind the phrase "careful what you wish for." He's clearly one of the better coaches in the league. He gameplans well, we made great adjustments in last week's game, and I think his in-game decisions have improved over time. You see other coaches around the league and realize we have it pretty good. Of course there are some better coaches, but even McDaniel last night - what was that before the end of the 1st half? And no urgency in the 4th quarter. Miami was a mess last night. I get that Tua's injury knocked them off balance, but you see this kind of stuff every Sunday from many teams.
  24. The Jets played a top team, so it's hard to gauge - but I didn't see anything scary there. I think they were overhyped, and listening to NY radio, a lot of their fans thought so also, even before they played SF. If we can stay relatively healthy, the division is ours again, imo.
  25. Von looking like Von from 5 years ago is extremely encouraging. He looked absolutely sprightly out there.
