Tua’s Broken Dome (now being placed on IR-out at least 4 games)
Success replied to RunTheBall's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm going to play devil's advocate on this one: haven't other players (including Mitch Morse) had more concussions than Tua? -
Bills vs Jags Game Week Thread - MNF
Success replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't want to spoil anything, but we're beating the Jags this year. It's the only way the universe makes sense. -
There are some interesting storylines. I'm definitely stoked about the KC/Cincy game. For the 1st time, I'm thinking the 1 seed is possible for us this season. I want to see if the Pats defense is for real, or if Burrow just had a bad game. Colts/Packers is kind of fun, as is Browns/Jags. Are the Browns as bad as they seemed to be? But yeah - nothing is THAT intriguing. I'll still drink & eat a lot and chill knowing our team is 2-0 and one of the top 5 teams in the league.

Random talking head says something about the Bills
Success replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
It was the most reasonable take I've seen him have on anything. Seems like it was pre-coffee or something. -
There are probably a half dozen or so ex Panthers LB's out there. I'm just spit-balling.

I've decided that I'm going to believe it was tipped.

A Few Thoughts about the Dolphins Game, in no particular order
Success replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I really enjoyed that write-up. Thanks, Virgil! I needed a good Oliver game. He had a few plays I saw that don't even show up in the stats, but had a huge impact on the play. I love our D this year. Didn't think I would. They had a bad half to start the season, and have been lights out since. -
Man, after craning my neck to look up at the Pats in the division standings - and usually the Jets and/or Phins - I'm really appreciating these days of being the team to beat in the east. And it's no fluke. We'll likely win most of the division titles as long as Allen is our quarterback.

It makes almost no sense - which is why I'm confident in the win this time around. I don't think it's a match-up thing at all. Just a weird anomaly. -
You know, both Milano & Bernard - as we know - are on the smaller side, which is why we see multiple injuries w/ both. It might not be the worst thing to get both back later in the season so they can hopefully stay healthy into the playoffs.

"Obnoxious?" It's a generosity of spirit, that benefits people - and it turns something negative into a positive. I'll take that kind of obnoxious behavior EVERY DAY. The world needs more of that. Much more.

It feels like so much more of a "team" now - on both sides of the ball. I hate to make this comparison, but it's almost like that Pats that 1st year they won the SB. Everyone just doing their job, no one complaining, great complementary football. I gave up on Diggs after that sideline confrontation w/ Allen in the Cincy playoff game. Me-first all the way w/ that guy.

Wow - that was really their biggest offseason signing. Big loss for them.

Not this time, Jags. Not this time. -
Anyone who wants McDermott replaced should mind the phrase "careful what you wish for." He's clearly one of the better coaches in the league. He gameplans well, we made great adjustments in last week's game, and I think his in-game decisions have improved over time. You see other coaches around the league and realize we have it pretty good. Of course there are some better coaches, but even McDaniel last night - what was that before the end of the 1st half? And no urgency in the 4th quarter. Miami was a mess last night. I get that Tua's injury knocked them off balance, but you see this kind of stuff every Sunday from many teams.
-
The Jets played a top team, so it's hard to gauge - but I didn't see anything scary there. I think they were overhyped, and listening to NY radio, a lot of their fans thought so also, even before they played SF. If we can stay relatively healthy, the division is ours again, imo.

Von Miller proves the doubters wrong
Success replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Von looking like Von from 5 years ago is extremely encouraging. He looked absolutely sprightly out there. -
We all know how this staff tends to ease rookies in slowly - but I really think they have to put Bishop out there now. He'll likely have some growing pains, but he's a 2nd rounder, he clearly has some talent and they should get him fully acclimated by the playoffs. He could be a difference-maker, imo.

Week 2 - Bills at Fins - Post game thread
Success replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
This team has already answered most of the questions I had. It's hard to overstate how crucial it is that Von looks disruptive again. -

Man, I really hope Tua considers retiring. Absolutely zilch to do w/ sports or the rivalry. -

This is how you play when you're up 21 on the road, going into the 4th quarter w/ possession. -

This was a statement game. We've got us a good team this year. -

It's good to see Bass kicking w/ some confidence. One less worry if he can keep it up.
