The horror...the horror....

I am - every day. It's June and I'm just loving it already. Most of us have been through quite a bit to get here. There's something to be said for paying those dues and finally having a team like this.

Feeling like Bengals might be "Top Opponent" this year
Success replied to Billsfanatixs's topic in The Stadium Wall
With how the AFC is, it's going to be pretty crucial to get the top seed. Any team that has to play 3 games is going to play 3 very tough teams. Get the bye & then getting the lowest seed in round 2 will increase the chances of making the SB exponentially. The AFFCG is going to be brutal regardless - I could see Cincy or KC in that one (but please let it be the Chiefs, AT Buffalo this time). -
Does this Pats fan make sense? 🤔 I HATE to admit I agree with him.
Success replied to StHustle's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just saw a Pats fan online posting how "mad" he was that the Patriots weren't getting any respect this offseason, and how he couldn't wait to prove the whole league wrong. Yeah....I remember my 1st drought. -
Maybe We Should "Pump" The Breaks On Super Bowl Plans?!?!?!

Tyreek Hill says Tua is more accurate than Mahomes
Success replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
They shouldn't even report on player comments like this anymore. Of course a QB's receivers are going to talk him up. Anyone hear any of the Mac Jones hype out of New England this offseason from his teammates? It's always "this guy's the real deal...he's a natural leader...sky's the limit!" Then, they see a pass rush. -

Honestly, this doesn't make sense to me. For starters, they ARE experiencing a drought. The Patriots haven't won a playoff game since 2017. But give me a break. We're fans. Go to ANY Red Sox message board on the internet, and you'll find a dozen comments from their fans (at least) saying how much the Yankees suck. That applies when the Yankees are on top, like they are today, and when they have had miserable losing seasons. It doesn't matter. Because they were under the Yankees thumb for many years, and most fans during that time couldn't wait to flip the script. That's an enjoyable thing - finally punching the bully in the nose, and knowing he ain't gonna bug you for a long, long time. I plan to relish every Patriots struggle from now until the end of days. Of course the ultimate is a Bills SB win and that's the top priority, but I can chew gum & walk at the same time. -

Were Celts fans "punching up" to Draymond Green last night? Guy can't even play anymore. -

I mean, you'd have to be new to fandom to think that we wouldn't revel in owning the Pats now, after so long. 20 years of waiting, for precisely this situation. Where we can beat the snot out of them, and they can't do a thing about it. I brought it up earlier, but 18 years after they buried their Yankees demons so dramatically, the Boston fanbase is STILL obsessed with NY. Give me a break. No self-awareness on this video. -

Sorry - I'm going to rant a lot on this one, because this vid exemplified most of my issues w/ Pats fans. That tweet he read about "let's see you do it for 18 more years and 6 more titles," is the ultimate from a fanbase that won the World Series in 2004 and immediately spent months telling Yankees fans that they were losers for dwelling on the past and always citing the # of titles they have. Pats fans ARE Yankees fans now. An irony that I never stop appreciating. 6 is the new 27. -

And what the heck, OP? "Agreeing with him?" This guy is such a typical New England homer. They're all cartoon characters now. And none of them makes a good point, at anytime, anywhere. -

I cannot stand buffoons like this, who have ZERO self-awareness. He's probably a Red Sox fan, right? Who, even though they've basically owned the Yankees for 18 years, STILL chant "Yankees suck!" at Red Sox games. At Bruins games. At Celtics games. When they're in the World Series and the Yankees have been eliminated. At ultimate frisbee matches. Punch up, dude! Punch up! Not a good look that you're still not over the Yankees, is it? Give Bills fans more than a year or 2. We won't be nearly as psychologically damaged and "down punching" as idiot New England fans 18 years from now. Enjoy the beatdowns against the Bills in the years ahead. Fool. -
I've accepted a lot of bad behavior from players on my various teams, but this would be too much for me. I wouldn't walk away permanently - but I wouldn't pull for them as long as he was on the team.

Some. I check their boards once in awhile, and it's all "Mac is in the best shape of his life! He's going to practice early...and he's the last to leave! He has more zip on the ball!" Reminds me a lot of how we tried to talk ourselves into QB's like Losman, Edwards, Taylor, et al. Man, do I hope we don't punt again against them. In both games.

I'm still a little concerned about the running game. We don't have that goal-line/3rd & short bruiser.

Von Miller is Being Sued (UPDATE: CASE DISMISSED)
Success replied to sven233's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'd disagree w/ that. If you're a kid and you're passionate about pro sports, you look up to your heroes in whatever game it is. I don't think that has anything to do w/ parents. My parents were amazing, and I still looked up to Cal Ripken. Who fortunately was an incredible role model also. I think the only way a parent "prevents" that is to discourage their kids from watching sports or thinking they're important in any way. -
Article - Von Miller already making his presence felt
Success replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
It will be exciting to have a fierce defense again. They've been good, obviously - but we really haven't been able to get to the passer & be disruptive as some of the Bills' defenses of old. Miller is going to make everyone on that D better. I expect Rousseau to have a breakout year, and it wouldn't even surprise me to see great things from Epenesa. -
After last season? Not a chance. This team will be ready for every game. We are getting cocky as a fanbase, but it's more fun than being morose.

The era of avocado ice cream is now officially OVAH. -
It's really annoying. They still would have been a great team - but probably would have made about half of the SB's. I remember some years when the 5 & 6 seeds in the playoffs were complete pushovers. The only things that kept Brady in check were Manning & Harbaugh's good coaching in Baltimore. As to the OP, I feel like I could make a case for about 3-4 teams as being the strongest after the Bills. I really like what the Bengals did this offseason; they're clearly going to be tough. Chargers will make the playoffs, but they aren't there yet. The Colts and Ravens will both be very tough outs. KC is still the one, though.

Curious how everyone ranks it after all of the draft & offseason stuff. For me, all of the other teams did well. I think NE's draft was a head scratcher, but they also filled some needs and the acquisition of Parker addressed their biggest hole. The Jets had a stellar offseason & draft, and Miami improved what was already a borderline playoff team. It's kind of obvious, but our biggest competition depends largely on which QB makes a leap: Wilson, Tua or Jones. Personally, I saw some "it" factor in Wilson. But I think he needs another year and the Jets need another good offseason to really contend. I'd rank the division this coming year as follows: Bills Phins Pats Jets
