Total tackles seem not to be a good indicator of performance. The year after Brown led the league in tackles, he only received a 1 year $4 million dollar contract from the Bengals. He was out of the NFL by 2019 after being cut by 3 straight teams (Bengals, Raiders and Jags). He's only 32 years old today and hasn't played since 2019...he was out of the league by age 27. John Miller had a good start to his career? He was benched by game 4 in his rookie season to Vlad Ducasse.

Dionte Thompson - Did he ever make another NFL roster? Charles Clay - FA disappointment and out of the NFL one year later. Kelvin Benjamin playing the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man in a future Ghostbusters remake. Jordan Matthews - Fell off a cliff after the Eagles. Zay Jones probably always naked. Nick O’Leary - out of the NFL 2 years later? We had good pieces in Incognito, Hughes, Hyde, White and Poyer…. But we also had Ramon Humber, Preston Brown, Jordan Mills, Adolphus Washington and Jon Miller starting…don’t forget the above. Which offensive roster was worse that year?

The point you are missing is that you are discrediting McDermott’s 9 win season because he had several wins against sub par QB’s. But he also had a subpar QB in Tyrod Taylor. Taylor was awful and showed it with the next 7 teams he played for. The 2017 team was one of the worst rosters in the NFL.

I agree with this too. One of the ex-Steelers said in an interview, he saw the signs and pointed it out before AB got famous. He told someone that once this dude gets money, he's going to be a problem.

I just can't get there yet with him. I see more like 600-700 yards with about 6 TD's. I see him more as big chunk plays a few times a game. He will have a high YPC average I believe.
