Paralyzed I believe the only one. But neck injuries, they get the all the time. If it's an MMA match, choking and every submission is allowed. I can't read the article because I don't have a subscription. I'm pretty sure they can't have full contact cage matches. The state of NY just about 5 or so years ago allowed professional MMA fighting for the first time. They can have grappling matches or train for it but not a full contact match. In Georgia, as an amateur who hasn't reached the professional level, they wear shin guards and not allowed to punch in the head on the ground.

Ive been training in MMA for about 10 years now and I haven’t heard of any children competing in a ring or cage. I think it’s actually illegal under 18. They take a specific discipline like Jiu Jitsu or Boxing. Some kids can spar in the ring with head gear that’s monitored and not throwing full punches. You just have to really monitor chokes if they grapple. Mike Utley Dennis Byrd

I hope we win it all and ESPN creates the greatest documentary of all time. Hamlin may never play again and I say get him a ring.

My kid is only 7 so I have awhile where I think I have time before impacts can hurt the body. I know what happened yesterday has never happened in the NFL and is extremely rare. But I will never forget about Damar Hamlin...ever. My son plays every sport and man, I don't know if I'll ever be comfortable seeing him take a big shot, it will happen, those who have played before knows this. Again, I know it's a one in a hundred million but it's also your child. I'm going to let him play what he wants to play but last night was just so scary.

Thank you.

We've dealt with injuries all year on defense and we are 2nd in the league in defensive scoring while playing a first place schedule. We have a much, much better offense than the Pats. The Pats can come back on the Bengals with one offensive TD but we can't or very unlikely? I think it's been shown that Belicheck is mediocre without Brady.

No I read that and I agree. That's why its crazy to me to think that people thought this game was already heading to a blow out. It might have, it might not have. It's why you play 60 minutes.
-
You're definitely alluding to it lol. "Context" after 8 offensive plays. So that's the difference? Pats didn't lose two starters and that's why they could come back? The Pats came back with only scoring one offensive TD. Are we not built to come back?

I'm trying to show you that just because someone starts off hot, doesn't mean it will continue. Whether or not it's self inflicted, it just shows you that to determine that we would have gotten blown out based on a half quarter of action is pretty crazy. Not saying it's you but there are people who thought the game was over. Yes, we aren't the Pats. We have a much better offense to keep up with the Bengals. Burrow throws picks too. They don't have to implode two weeks in a row, we could have gotten hot too.

There's about a half dozen on this board who do not believe it's a 4 quarter game.

You're right. The Bengals can't be come backed on. Evidence was last week when they were up by 22-0 at halftime, Burrow had just under 300 yards passing in the first half with 3 TD's. The Bengals have an elite team so the Pats never had a chance in the game.

I shouldn't be right?

Yes we can agree on that. So what...its a 4 quarter game. Last week, the Burrow was 28-36 for 284 yards and 3 TD's in the FIRST HALF against the Pats. They won on a fumble.
