Beane Doubles Down On His Belief In Davis
Royale with Cheese replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall
Gabe Davis is not going to be traded for a late first or second. A 3rd is the highest but you're looking at a 4th round for him. -
I think the only game where we had shorter passing was the opener. We went downfield a lot in game #2 against the Titans. We went short too much where Allen after the Lions game that going deep is good...I knew he was going to be aggressive the rest of the year. I'm up and down on how I feel about it. Yes, Allen should have on multiple occasions take the underneath throw to convert the first instead of picking up 30. However, I believe the majority of the time, that deep WR was open.

Potential Number 1 pick Jalen Carter Arrest Warrant
Royale with Cheese replied to CountDorkula's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes and they should be prosecuted at the full extent for whatever they're guilty of. When I say I feel for them, I don't mean they should get away with this. Nothing has changed with kids and their stupid driving. -
Isaiah Hodgins Bills made big mistake

So you would rather a #5/#6 WR contribute nothing and just sit on the sidelines? You know most teams WR last on the depth chart are usually Special Teams Players… -

Exactly. I once turned on my sprinklers and went to get food. I saw someone I knew up there and instead of going back home, I stayed. My sprinklers were on for two hours straight...completely forgot. This was around 11:00 am and I had a swamp. I live in Atlanta and by 5:00 pm, most of it had dried up. -

Strong vs. Weak Positional Groups - Draft
Royale with Cheese replied to Yantha's topic in The Stadium Wall
There is zero hype on this years draft. It's either I'm not watching TV or the big networks aren't covering it as much. I thought this might be the case that they don't have really a lot of names. -

We just always competed. Something random like we would be leaving a restaurant and someone would say "last ones get the second game of Madden". So we all ran to the cars get and go. This is the mind of a 17 year old. It wasn't every single time....just random times we wanted to be stupid. I got one speeding ticket in HS. It wasn't just driving we would compete at. -

I'm not normalizing it....I'm just giving you the reality that this is very common with young men. This isn't just a Jalen Carter thing, this is a 16-24 year old thing. I'm not proud of it but myself along with the crowds I hung out with as they've gotten older realized they were stupid. You can get pissy all you want with me but this the reality. It's on your roads at 2:00 am when you're sleeping. It was suburban streets by like neighborhoods, its those long stretches of roads by malls or restaurants or bars. By me, it was Barrett Parkway. Once you leave the well lit areas and go down the roads heading towards the suburbs, there's a few mile stretch of 55 mph in which we would floor it. It wasn't like we were doing 90 for like 15 minutes....these are 15-30 seconds and then slow down. -

I've done it more than on long empty roads. I've done it in the city. I never got it up to 100 mph in the city but in the 55 mph sections at 2:00 am....we would hit 90 mph driving home. I've done it several times not on long country roads. One spot in particular I know is known for it. It's 55 mph and people will race down at 2:00 am. -

I mean, I'm not a grass expert but if what Toma said was correct, the new NFL director is stupid. My last house, I had the best grass in the neighborhood. I bought a new house with nothing but weeds, I'm sodding in the spring. I will send my before and after photos to the NFL along with my application. I'm never a "I'm smarter than the experts" kind of guy but I'm 100% sure I would have had the grass better that what this NFL Director did....they allowed fungus to grow because they didn't give it enough sunlight after watering it. That legitimately is stupid, I'm sorry. -

I have done it and know about 100 people that have done it....several times. Boys get competitive and adrenaline, you'll have a guy trying to pass you in the other lane....hit the gas and talk trash with the windows down to your buddy in the next car. We did it heading home from college probably every time. The roads on the state lines between Alabama and Georgia are usually empty....long country roads. We would hit stretches of 100 mph. This is 20 year old thinking that you're invincible. This is why when I hear stories about this, even as bad as it is, I get more heartbroken than angry. Someone died that shouldn't and someone made a terrible a mistake. A mistake I've made and several others but we were lucky. I obviously don't do it anymore, people (most) mature and understand reality. 20 year old make stupid mistakes because they don't understand the reality yet. -

Lol @ Coach of the Year meaning something. -
Take comments from the public means they make decisions? You’re not being serious. Public schools and the curriculum for it is run by the state. Were you asked to be a part of the selection process of any new Coach in the school system you are districted in. You’re paying his salary as a tax payer…. The Post Office by me didn’t trim their crete myrtles the way I like them. I paid for it, I want them cut higher.
-
Tax payers pay for schools. They pay for the building, teachers salaries, janitor salaries, lab equipment, athletics etc… Does that mean the tax payers should get to have a say in how the staff is structured, the curriculum taught and who runs any department? That would really suck if you’re interviewing for a Football coaching position and your interview panel is 300,000 people.

Maybe he was meeting with a crooked police captain and a drug lord who put a hit on his father. Got picked up at Dempsey’s and taken to Louis in the Bronx. While at dinner…Yolo took them both out and he’s got to hide out in Sicily for awhile. He will be back by training camp.

Joe Marino Locked on Bills regarding DL
Royale with Cheese replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
I had my complaints about Kelsay and wanted more. He was a poor man's Phil Hansen but without Bruce Smith on the other side. He was an okay player. He wasn't going to be cut. Here's why he retired. The decision came this week after Kelsay spent months wavering on his future. Rather than keep the Bills guessing, he traveled from his offseason home in Nebraska to personally inform general manager Buddy Nix at the team's facility in Orchard Park. "As I kind of went back and forth on it, I believe if you think about retirement that much, you're already retired," Kelsay said. "So I'm happy with the decision and look forward to the next chapter of my life." The thought of retirement first entered Kelsay's mind after he tore a ligament in his neck during practice. He missed seven of Buffalo's final eight games, and finished on the injured reserve list. Despite being cleared by team doctors last month, Kelsay was concerned about his health. "I did not want to leave the game broke down," he said. https://www.si.com/nfl/2013/02/28/chris-kelsay-buffalo-bills-retires -

I think Miller going down hurt Rousseau the most. Scott, you were very vocal that DL rotations are stupid. I'm not fully convinced it's not a philosophical issue. I think we make our DL too disciplined or something. Hughes had the most sacks since 2014 last year with the Texans. He's 8 years older since 2014 and had his best statistical season. -

We did the same thing. Miller and Oliver would rotate in on 3rd down a lot if they weren't in on 1st/2nd.
