  1. Maybe he has....but don't take his word for it....what GM's say in front of camera's does not always line up with what they do down the road. Being a GM in the NFL means you will get it wrong a fair amount of time, those who get it right more often go deep in the playoffs. I live in NE and they all complain about how bad a GM and drafter Belichick is....yet he has won 6 SB's and went to 9. Here they say they mismanage the WR position
  2. I would put all my efforts into figuring out how to get Watson back in their camp. Also I think Watson has a no trade thing in his deal, he could veto....
  3. The money for FA's will be less....for everyone! All 32 teams and all the players are in the same boat/playing by the same rules. The owners wont give the players a bigger percentage of revenues out of the goodness of their hearts. All people involved are healthily compensated, there will be some reductions. Like many not in football have had to deal with after the real estate crash in 2008 and during this Pandemic. Teams will get creative with structuring contracts....the Bills will still be really good next year.
  4. 1. The owners take the hit....nope 2. The players are gonna take some percentage? They have a contract, lawsuits galore....cant just make up new rules on existing deals. All teams are in the same boat here, its not that bad. Unless you are the Saints.
  5. Jacksonville was not hard for me to take.
  6. They will give him a new contract.
  7. He is 15th in average per year. Underpaid, yes and I agree something will probably be done. Add 4 million and he jumps to 6 ahead of Tyreek Hill and Mike Evans. The Deandre Hopkins deal is ridiculous IMO. He does not have the leverage of being an impending FA. Beasley is 31 and John Brown is 26 in average pay so the Bills have a lot of resources at WR. As a lot of others have said, Brown may be let go or possibly extended to reduce his money in 2021 vs the cap. This will be an interesting off season for the Bills when it comes to contracts......they are no longer flush with cap space.
  8. The Dolphins have some good draft capital from the trade of their LT, I thought that was common knowledge.....The Patriots dominated the division for 2 decades drafting in the 30's continuously. What you do with those picks is what matters. But even more important is the QB, I am not sure they "have their QB".
  9. I think it says 50-60M for qb and wr1 not just for Josh.
  10. Wallace is an RFA. I find it hard to believe he won’t be back. That does not mean Jackson can’t step up.
  11. The td at the end of the half is hard to accept. There would be fire Petrine threads all over if that happened to the Bills. But I find it interesting the coach is so critical there when it was the offense that failed on a bunch of 4th quarter drives after the defense picked Brady off three times. Rodgers threw a bad pick that gave Brady that opportunity. And lefleur himself chose a fg when there was no guarantee to get the ball back.
  12. What are the issues with the refs from the game? They "let them play" too much?
  13. Matt Barkley broke Cole Beasley's leg...
  14. Yeah that was a bad decision for sure, the pass attempt had no chance, he could have scored or made a 4th down shorter. He also had a bad INT in the first half that led to a TD. He is a great player but shares in loss.
  15. Did he improve from last post season to this post season? I say yes and I would also say I think we can expect him to improve again this off season based on his track record. I don't think he chokes, but I think is issue is still "tries to do too much". So when he gets backed into a corner, he can make mistakes. He improved in that this year but it is still there. Not sure you will ever get it totally out of him. The interception was not the best ball and he took some ridiculous sacks...take those away it's not like the Bills win. He can fight off a tackle but by the time he does others are there, he needs to take a sack. Like others said, the Chiefs bottled up the receivers and gave him few options so he felt like it all fell on him. There probably should have been more check downs or scrambles by Josh...or an actual running game, something had to be there and the Bills did not take advantage of that. I blame game plan over Josh. The Bills did not have a counter punch.
  16. I hate his demeaner/arrogance. But drafting Love was a ridiculously awful move by a team ready to win a championship now. These great Qb's play into their 40's nowadays, no reason for that move. He is gonna make them suck up to him for a while......but I would be shocked if he went anywhere especially on that team friendly deal.
  17. I am not sure about Edmunds, I have always wondered if he is too big, he is so lanky and does not stop/change directions quickly. Maybe he is not in the ideal position. I think Oliver is a bit of a disapointment at this point, not a bust but not living up to the pre draft hype yet. He had some decent moments this year, just not enough.
  18. The good news is they have lots of cap space to do all this and resign Mongo, D Williams, Milano and give Allen a ginormous extension. They have at least 1.5 million to do those things from what I have seen. But we can watch it...like the Bills did yesterday yesterday, short pass to T Hill and then he runs all over the place with 11 guys watching/chasing him around.
  19. The Bills have Allen. I like him a lot. He has a much smaller list of things to clean up than one year ago. But there are still things to work on. However Mahomes is on a different level and has been since he got the keys. Mahomes is not perfect no one is but he is the king for now.
  20. I think the point is not looking at where guys are drafted but how they actually perform in the nfl. Their nfl performance is much more relevant than draft position.
  21. Fournette is a special talent, if his head is on right he could be really really good. His TD run yesterday showed what he can be. Of course since he is in the playoffs and super bowl he will put the effort in. His issue is dedication and attitude, he has off the charts talent.
  22. I don't remember saying just play man. I am not an NFL coach, but I am certain the game plan yesterday was the correct plan with the Bills talent. Pressure always helps the DB's look better and any the Bills got Mahomes was easily able to side step and minimize the impact. I don't know what the answer is but I believe the Bills defense can play better against that team with the right plan.
  23. There was not a lot of creativity in the post season compared to the regular season. THey had a couple jet action runs to convert first downs but nothing to result in big plays, they had a nice statue of liberty thing they set up in the regular season, where was that? All the passes with WR's and whatnot, I expected to see something in the post season. In game adjustments did not appear to be there either compared to the regular season either. Some of it is you are getting better efforts by the opposing teams, but I agree, there seemed to be a lack gameplanning to the Bills advantage in the post season. The OL seems outstanding at pass pro but awful at run blocking. I know guys have different skill sets but I put this more on mentality and tone setting.
  24. I would say missed opportunites to make a tackle vs actual missed tackles.....they seemed to just prefer to have a foot race with him
  25. The Bills had a bad gameplan more than lack of execution. The plan to play zone and let Kelce be open continuously did not work out well. The Cheifs played man, took advantage of the fact the NFL throws less penalties in the playoffs by being agressive with our WR's. We did not choose to take advantage of that as much.
