  1. They mention this on the TV broadcast every time they are in the red zone.....I pound the crap out of my wood table every time it mentioned.
  2. I think he is pretty safe....there is still one WR position open when compared to last year, Roberts replacement...which could be McKenzie filling that role of returner. I would not rule it out but I think WR will not be a high draft priority this year.
  3. Why guard and not tackle? They have starters across the line. Swing tackle is a hole. TE and CB also have holes.
  4. I expect some vet minimums to still sign....still some holes.......
  5. This kind of a hypothetical is hard to answer....this type of trade would only be made in real time at the time of the 18th pick. And the reason is there would be a particular person who is still on board you are willing to move up for. I know you did a mock but that is just guess for the 1op 17 picks. You will probably get 10-12 of them off the board. But by 18 there are always surprises. And we don't know who the Bills value.....they actually need more than one guy, I think trade down is more likely.
  6. Where is the wonder part? 6 sacks? They used him only In Obvious passing situations.
  7. There is a lot there.....but for me it is that it was such a great distraction from the pandemic. It totally took me away from the news and it was a source of joy during a very trying year.
  8. Maybe was a bust and also one of the worst draft picks ever. When I say worst draft pick, I dont mean because he busted but because conventional wisdom has him rated much lower than where the Bills drafted him. He was a no year wonder
  9. What/who specifically are you talking about?
  10. There is no such thing as a cap casualty
  11. They were like the 2000-2017 Bills last year when they were 7-9....
  12. Number 1, ever Bills fan I know cares about now. The question is if you recklessly blow up the future for now. Everyone has different feelings about how conservative to be about this. But in general, here we are with a great young QB and opportunity to compete year in and year out for the next 15 years. Number 2, yes New Orleans multiple times in the last 10 years.....they have had a lot of success but no ultimate success in that timeframe. Other teams too have gone all in and then had to blow it up. Doesn't mean you should not "go all in" now but yes teams have been killed by the cap. There are other examples. The Bills went all in under Whaley/Rex with bad contracts and had to eat it bad in McDermott's second year. Number 3: Obviously the cap can be manipulated but in the words of Bills Polian "The cap does not forgive and the cap does not forget". Do you think it is a fictitious figment of your imagination, a number that gets talked about but actually means nothing?
  13. Walter Payton or Gale Sayers?
  14. Cause he would not wear a mask............
  15. Huh uh uh! What’s going on? Why are you waking me?
  16. So he is still a Saint. Tampering?
  17. Not if he is a great coach and wins Super Bowl's. The QB gives you the ability to compete consistently over time, agree there. It takes a great organization to get to 12 AFC championship games, 9 SB's and win 6 of them. A QB alone does not do that, I get the hate for him but to just say his success is all due to Brady is just not real. He may not be a good judge of collegiate talent but he is a master of getting the most out of a guys potential and finding roles for players that work for their skill level. That is how he was able to move on from guys who's turn it was to get paid...at most positions he is able to plug guys in and get them to perform.
  18. I have respect for Bellicheck's coaching....even with the cheating, he is a great coach. Their roster (totally decimated) was awful last year and they won 7 games. They easily could have won in Buffalo. The get like 8 guys back from Covid opt outs and these free agents.....they will be much better than some in this thread seem to think. Their roster improvement will be among the best in the league. The big question is QB. Are they "overpaying in FA", yes everyone is....that is what free agency is. Did the Bills overpay for Jefferson, Butler and Addison last year? Yes they did.
  19. Bills play them next year......
  20. Good deal for him........
  21. We dont disagree....I was not saying I think the Bills offensive design was awful, I am just saying they tried to throw the ball, not run. There were times they were effective running and times they were not, I think if they focused on it they could be better. Tweaks to game plans, not overhauling.....
  22. There is a third option, personnel/play design! Its hard to run well in 10 and 11 personnel. Maybe they need to commit more to running...pound away a little more.
  23. That all sounds reasonable. There are real life cap considerations and there are needs at TE, DE, OT depth, staring OG's....we dont know the current cap number but just the three RFA's and draft class could take all of it. There are more moves they can make but they will have to try and find guys who may not be on our radar in FA to plug in. I get it, the OL could be better than last year...but it also could be worse, they are very good at pass pro which is what the team would prefer. I think we all agree, they need better balance and some more output from the RB position. The strategy the coaching staff took on was pass first and it was very successful so the running game never got the focus. One time in the regular season they needed it against NE they did quite well.....very windy conditions. If they bring back Boettger and Ford, they are not as bad as some thing. Feliciano is an upgrade for those two in my opinion (with the three of them they would have some depth also) but he may not be someone they choose to spend their precious limited resources.
