Open air stadiums have a much more laid back horizontal seating configuration. That might extend the season too much and with no revenue on that bye week.. Right now NFL has 16 game reg-season with 17 tv weeks of games due to 1 bye. If they have 18 game season and 2 bye weeks it would be a 20 week tv season. NFL would love this for tv revenue. Maybe a compromise. -shorten preseason to 3 games. (or possibly 2) -add one game to regular season for a 17 game season. -add a bye week to make 2 bye weeks. Still having games every week. With 3 preseason games option this would result in same total games(20) they play now. With a 2nd bye week and 17 game reg-season tv revenue would increase as tv weeks of games would increase by two to 19. From pre-season to end of reg-season would only increase by one week. From 21 to 22. Doable. And could have policy that every player must take another game off and actually play 16, maybe, although I think the 2nd bye week negates this need.

I have always believed baseball analytics are much more accurate as baseball is such a one on one sport with much better data to dissect and less of a team sport as most of the action involves one player doing something without much teamwork involved. Football has such a poetry of motion on every play it has way too many variables to be as accurate with any analytics as baseball can be. The A's I think have proven this for years. too long. the big question is why does the NFL not let Direct TV offer it for subscription through local cable providers and then NFL could charge appropriately depending on how many subscriptions Direct TV gets. Could be partnership and NFL gets a %. I know Direct TV is thinking this may reduce Direct TV subscriptions of people who mainly get it just so they can get Sunday Ticket but they are missing out on a lot of subscribers who will not get Direct TV and so work around the problem by streaming for FREE. Question would be how to price it. Say if Direct TV subscribers pay 250 what would non Direct TV subscribers pay via cable systems? 300? or do cable systems give a kickback as their cable subscription just increased in value now with Sunday Ticket available and they charge closer to Direct TV cost? You can get Sun Ticket in Canada on cable why not US?

No. He did ok, he is adjusting to NFL. People expect too much from a guy in his first NFL speed game. Also: People expect so much from bomb throwers being accurate. They are not. It is much more wr skill to slightly adjust slowing or speeding up while trying to keep the db screened off and then making the play. No QB can consistently hit a 2 foot circle from 50 or 60 yards like it looks many times when they complete a bomb. It is an illusion. JA threw that out of bounds ball about 60 yards and was only off about 3 or 4 feet. That is accurate for a bomb. It just drifted too far out. I see a ton of potential in this Foster guy and I hope he at least makes the PS and NE does not try to poach him.
