It is starting to seem like this rumor is legit and not a smokescreen. I hope the Bills will have a shot at Darnold, that would be a best-case scenario for us.

Give me Mike White in the second if the draft plays out this way. I have been pretty anti-Allen, but I could live with him at 12. He has elite traits and if you find him a great QB coach he has a chance to be special. There is no chance I am starting him before week 16 though. If we trade up for Allen I will be really disappointed.

If we get Rosen later in the draft this will be a special draft for us.

Darnold has led game winning drives in multiple games. Let’s just hope we get a chance to draft him.

I don’t see Gettleman as a smokescreen type of guy. He is old school, what you see is what you get.

I think you are undervaluing firsts a bit. The Chiefs essentially gave up two firsts to move up 17 spots last year. Three first should have the value of first overall. Maybe you have to throw in a few 4th or 5th rounders.

I think they are that stupid. They were making some pro RB comments at their press conference.

If Gettleman actually turned down 3 first round picks he is the worst GM in the NFL.

It was looking so good until you took Billy Price. We have two capable OG/C in Groy and Bodine. We need to find a LB to lead this defence and the best LB in the draft fell right into our laps and we passed. Why didn't you give us Vander Esch?

Darnold is my number 1 choice. I think he is tougher, better at improvising, and a better leader than Rosen. I would be happy with Rosen but Darnold is a once a decade QB prospect.

I think there will be at least four. I believe 3 of the top 5 will pan out as franchise guys. So out of Rosen, Darnold, Allen, Mayfield, and Jackson, three will become good and two will fail. I think Rosen, Darnold, and Mayfield (unless he goes to the Jets) will become franchise guys. I also think another franchise QB will come from White, Lauletta, and Rudolph out of the second day. There may even be another sleeper from the rest of the field like Woodside or Litton that becomes a franchise guy as well. I am predicting a 60% success rate in round 1, 30 % in round 2, 12.5% success rate for the rest of the prospects.

I would be happy if the Bills drafted one of these three. If I have a choice though it would be Darnold.

It would be nice to see the AFCE regain some glory. I hope our young QB is the one to knock Brady off his pedestal.

If the Bills some how come away with Darnold (far and away my top rated QB) I will be ecstatic. If the Browns are crazy enough to pass on him I am all in on getting Darnold, I don't care what the cost is.

Tough start with 5 of the first 7 in the road. McCarron is going to have his hands full. He is going to have to be legit to get us off to a good start. Our rookie will be starting in October if McCarron does not at least split those games and put up numbers.

I don’t think he has anything left in the tank. I would rather see what Dupree and Reiley have to offer.

White has the arm to make every throw and is very accurate. The knock on him is he is a very poor runner. His immobility does not fit well in today’s NFL. He is going to have to learn to master pocket movements.

I think it say more about him not being able to see the blitz. If you can’t punish teams for blitzing they are going to keep coming.

Well they better be right or they are going to be fired for sure. I would not put my job on the line for Allen.

Here is the thing though. Mike White was in the exact same situation as Allen. White had a great season in 2016, then lost a bunch of his oline and WRs to the NFL. The difference was he was still able to elevate his team and produce good numbers in 2017 despite horrible talent. Allen has shown that he can’t elevate the roster around him. The reason I am comparing White and Allen is that they should be competing as second round prospects.

Why wouldn’t you be? Work in progress players are for the second and third round, not the top ten.

My biggest concerns with Rosen are toughness, tends to back pedal in the face of pressure, and has trouble with velocity when moved off platform. If we draft him we will need to get him a good oline because I don’t trust his mobility.

It’s looking like Rosen will be the most likely at this point.

There are a lot of quality stats. I usually pay attention to the following: YPA above 9.0: Mayfield, Rudolph Yards above 4000: Darnold, Mayfield, Jackson, Rudolph, White completion percentage above 63: Darnold, Mayfield, Rudolph, White TDs above 30: Mayfield, Jackson, Rudolph, White INTs below 9: Mayfield, Rudolph, White Its actually a little scary Rosen meets none of those criteria.
