Player you wouldn't mind but everyone else would hate?
billspro replied to 4merper4mer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would be fine with Mike White as well. The board would explode for sure. -
He is the best running QB I have ever seen. He might be a better runner than Vick. Finally someone who has actually watched his games. He plays a Louisville it’s not like it is Toledo.
-
He does have some nice TD throws. I don’t think he is a horrible passer, he is just not a first or second day passer. If he was he would probably be the first pick in the draft because he is an electric runner. This is a good listen on why Jackson is not at the level of the other QBs as a passer. https://itunes.apple.com/ca/podcast/draft-ep-3-ranking-the-qb-class/id913714358?i=1000401894731&mt=2 Those cover 1 throws were fantastic, no doubt about it. You can see everything you would want in a franchise QB. The problem is when you watch the full games those throws are few and far between. He is very erratic when throwing intermediate throws.

Browns like Allen, Jets like Mayfield, Top 2 QB's might fall

That is the best case scenario. If we have a chance to sell the farm to pick Darnold I would be ecstatic. It would also be great to trade for Rosen outside of the top three. -
Giants View Barkley as Near Perfect Prospect

I would much rather have three first round picks if I was them. I don't really get your QB point. They could probably get both of our first rounds this year and a first round next year. When you factor in the cap it makes it even worse picking a RB. They would have Barkley for four years, with a very expensive 5th year option. Then they would probably have to pay him over 17 million per season after that if he becomes a special player. I would much rather have 3 first round picks even if I was guaranteed he would be as good as Peterson. Almost all of the Super Bowl Champions the past decade run a RB by committee approach. -

Ya if the Giants are going to try to completely screw us I would rather trade with the Browns at 4. -

They are crazy if they think an RB is more valuable than picks. RBs probably get injured more than any other position and have short careers. -
Almost all of them were runs though. If you just looks at the throws that is 5th round QB play. I can show you much more advanced passing from Logan Woodside if you would like.

These four games show Jackson against NFL talent. It also shows a blueprint on how good NFL defences would stop him. I honestly can’t see this guy being able to beat a Belichick coached defence.

I tried numerous times to tell people Watson didn’t have accuracy issues. In fact my passing comparison for him was Drew Brees. Watson was the most underrated QB prospect in years. Jackson on the other hand does have accuracy issues. He has more over throws on tape then any other QB in the top ten prospects. The concerns about his accuracy are very legitimate. His running ability may be able to overcome his deficiencies as a passer. The other problem with Jackson is he beat up on lesser talented defences but did not have a good game against any of his top opponents this year. Watson always showed up in the big games. This comparison needs to end, they are very different players.

We have some now!

Ya, it is probably easier to write it out first. Let's get a few more people signed up, we only have 5 right now.

Thanks Virgil! Great draft everyone. Hopefully we don’t have to see Rosen in a Dolphins uniform on draft night.

Would this regime survive a trade up miss at QB?
billspro replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think there is a better chance they go QB and CB early. When they draft Rosen are you going to leave the board? Will you switch teams? -
Will the 3 AFC East teams ALL get new QB's?

Lauletta and Woodside both seem like Patriot type prospects. -

billspro replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think they could, as long as the pick isn't Josh Allen. The fan base supports their decision to go get a QB, even if it is a swing and a miss. The good thing is if you miss on a QB you will probably be in position to draft another one in a couple of seasons. -
Well there is the released WR Beane was waiting for. It will be interesting to see if the Bills will make a run at him.
