  1. Arizona is one of the few trade partners that could work for Buffalo. They have a little cap not much, and they are the ones who want to move Hopkins. If you include Oliver in a deal and possibly Epenesa or Basham it can help with some of the salary for this year. Even if Hopkins goes elsewhere Arizona is one of the few teams who might be willing to take Oliver’s salary for this year.
  2. This is the trend when players get into negotiations in multiple sports. Not sure why it matters to anyone. There’s always factors fans are not privy to. For all we know they told him things and didn’t follow through. Maybe he’s just literally done with the organization. Maybe his feelings are hurt he has to leave and doesn’t want to see the pictures. No need to crucify the guy. He earned every penny here and he deserves every penny he can get on the market.
  3. The OP said Oliver would get a huge trade. As of right now I would consider him a one year rental for someone. Almost half the teams are trying to shed some salary. Start looking at teams with cap space and it’s a lot of our rivals and teams that don’t need a DT.
  4. Sorry but as others have pointed out your value is just terrible. You’ll have to take the homer glasses off and realize the players listed do not carry much value. Beane would be lucky to snag a 5th rounder for anyone you mentioned. Oliver has not shown anything that another team is going to trade anything good for him AND have to give him a shiny new contract.
  5. Since his first couple seasons people have been saying he’s not the guy. I’m fine with Mcdermott. There have been plenty of growing pains but I do believe he’s gotten better and will continue to improve. He doesn’t strike me as a guy who is content with how things have gone. Andy Reid survived a decade in Philly even though “he couldn’t win the big one” The team should have performed better. But I’m not ready to give up on him yet.
  6. I don’t normally say Buffalo isn’t attractive to free agents, but I don’t think this is an attractive spot for this free agent. He’s a warm weather guy. Unless he has no market (he will) I don’t see why he wouldn’t go to New Orleans or a team similar if he signs on the cheaper end
  7. Davis is more than likely starting next year, not sure what else he can say.
  8. I can live with that. I wouldn’t be against Mcdermott calling the defense either. Not sure if he wants that kind of headache but it’s a pretty important year for his future.
  9. I’m a fan of his. Hated him going to the giants. He didn’t do himself any favors there either. But I’d still sign him to a vet minimum kinda deal 😜 And this is why I’m sitting on my couch instead of a front office
  10. I would rather sign Kenny Golloday to a cheap deal at receiver than pay Mariota anything to be a backup. There will be plenty of backup level guys available.
  11. As long as it’s someone who has experience calling plays I’ll support it. Not much is gonna change but I hate to be breaking in two inexperienced play callers at the same time.
  12. Do you want to learn from a 1st year coordinator or a Super Bowl winning offensive coach? Davis Webb followed Daboll and yet took a coaching job with Denver. He learned from Daboll and now gets to learn from Payton. All about gaining experience and the smart ones learn from multiple coaching trees.
  13. Weird.. Doesn’t change anything probably but weird to take a year off
  14. Even though they are public enemy number one right now I’ll take the coaches decision over mine or the rest of this board. (Like I have a choice 😜) They know what edmunds is worth to the team and I would guess they know if they can make the correct adjustments to the scheme without him. I like edmunds, I think he gets far too much hate.. Most of the players people want to replace him with are hated by their own fanbases for the same reasons. Roquan couldn’t cover according to Chicago fans, Devin White is always out of position or missing his gap (and that’s with David next to him coaching him up) Edmunds plays soft, but so does most of the defense. I hope he goes somewhere that coaches more aggressive play. I would like to see what he can do when he’s thinking less and attacking more. He’s been here all these years and I can count on one hand how many times I have seen him blitz from the edge. It’s always the same “blitz” I guess you could call it. Line up over center, run right into him and just stand there so if the play gets behind you you’ll be free to chase em down. I understand occupying a blocker so someone else frees up, but it seems to rarely happen unless it’s Milano busting through. I’m no coach but to me his athleticism screams moving him all over the place even if he’s not gonna pass rush. Rumors are Detroit would be interested and that’s probably where I’d like to see him go as I enjoy the lions current brand of football. Edmunds would be a pretty great upgrade for that defense even if he’s as bad as some make him out to be. Gotta think the jump from Anzalone to Edmunds would be significant
  15. Poyer came to Buffalo as a nobody and earned every penny he’s made and worked hard enough to make himself into a star. I will cheer for him wherever he ends up. Of course in games that’s not against buffalo lol.
  16. Tennessee has basically built their entire team around henry. I think many can agree it’s about time to blow it up as tannehill is an overpaid mess, they whiffed replacing brown with woods. But they’re not gonna let Henry out the door unless there’s outrageous compensation. It’s fun to think about though. I still would have concerns, Henry is most effective at 25+ carries a game beating down a defense and that’s not exactly Buffalos philosophy to keep pounding when it’s not working. No point adding Henry if he starts out 6 carries for 16 yards and they abandon the run the rest of the game.
  17. Defensive touchdowns always get me. Sack with a scoop and score has to be one of the more demoralizing things for an offense. Plus it’s always funny to see a defensive tackle run with the ball or heck even try and pick it up sometimes
  18. You ain’t wrong. I was gonna comment earlier about how impactful some of his drops were for Arizona.
  19. I would love to have Woods back. But no way would I want him back at 6-8 million. He should go back with Mcvay. Their offense really missed him and how they used him everywhere. He’s a perfect fit for what they like their receivers to do.
  20. Jones should be asking for a crazy amount. If he lands even 25 per and a high guarantee that’s a huge win for him and the odds are high he won’t last another 2-3 seasons as a starter
  21. It won’t be popular on here but I would sign Chauncey Gardner Johnson to replace Poyer. To me he’s the type of player that the defense is missing. A trash talker who backs it up. Physical, doesn’t play scared and he’s quite versatile. There are more pressing needs of course, can’t argue with more weapons, a better O line or better pass rush. But I’m a fan of CGJ and would not hate him coming to Buffalo.
  22. I would trade anyone on the team for a nice return outside Allen. But the guys listed are not going to have much trade value and are probably more valuable to the team than the late round pick they might fetch.
