  1. I don't think we run a defense that best fits his skill set. I've said time and time again, in a Belichick defense he'd be in that Rob Ninkovich/Mike Vrabel role.
  2. When I made the claim of similar stats, I was thinking purely passing. Slipped my mind, I guess.
  3. I'm confused. They've already voted?
  4. Ricky Watters should have gotten in before Bettis. HOF makes me sick sometimes.
  5. Put me on record. Devin Hester should not be a HOF finalist, imo. If he ever gets in, it should be a very lengthy wait.
  6. I'll be honest, MVP is nice, but I couldn't care less. The NFL knows who Josh is. They know how good he is. I don't even think he'll finish runner up. Mahomes, Brady and Taylor will all be right there. This is one of the more competitive years for MVP. I see your point, but I think you're counting rushing yards as well, which is fair. *They have nearly identical passing stats, is what I should have said. Nothing wrong with being a homer. I didn't mean that in a malicious way.
  7. Ok. Now watch as Aaron Rodgers wins MVP again and the rest of you complain that Allen was "robbed". Even after missing a game, Rodgers and Allen have very similar stats, but Rodgers has less turnovers, has led his team to a better record and right now sit as the #1 seed in the NFC. Their strength of schedules are also near identical. No rose-colored glasses here. Josh has played well, but a few missteps along the way are going to cost him MVP unless the Packers and Bucs falter these last 2 weeks, which doesn't look likely. Everything I've stated here is true. You don't have to agree.
  8. Should have retired last season. He can still play, but he's so far past his best...
  9. Can't take anything away from him, but the Bucs have more offensive weaponry and a better front 7 for sure.
  10. It seems I know what it means more than most of the people commenting in this thread. You'd vote for Josh beasue you're a homer like most commenting in here. If the roles were reversed and Rodgers was awarded MVP over Allen, with a worse record, more turnovers and some awful losses, there'd be a 20 page thread on how Josh got screwed and the NFL hates the Bills.
  11. *with Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Antonio Brown, Gronk, Leonard Fournette and a dominant defense. The most talented team he's ever played on. One of the most talented I've ever seen really.
  12. It absolutely makes you MVP. Did you see GB without Rodgers this year? They'd be lucky to win 5 games.
  13. That's the hope.
  14. Being named 1st or 2nd team all pro carries far more weight than a Pro Bowl nod.
  15. Allen has been an absolute stud, but the 9-6 record and loss to the Jags isn't doing him any favors. Mahomes and Rodgers have their teams as #1 seeds. That stuff matters.
  16. Summerall and Madden are a big part of my childhood football memories.
  17. Rodgers has a better record, less turnovers and wins games without his best talent. He's as efficient a QB as they come. No Mahomes in there anywhere? Or Brady?
  18. The 41-14 dredging of the Falcons in 1992 springs to mind. Feels like the Josh/Diggs connection is peaking right now.
  19. Baltimore, you think? That's interesting. Speaking purely from a football standpoint, there's a handful of teams in the NFC that would be fools not to consider a trade. NO being chief among them.
  20. I've been thinking recently about how dangerous this offense would be with a CeeDee Lamb, for example.
  21. For a second I completely forgot about Watson. Like seriously forgot he was an NFL QB in the league.
  22. Toney, Golladay, Shepherd, Barkley and Engram. *The offensive line definitely needs work, Golladay is always nicked up and not sure if Engram is no good or just needs a better scheme, but on paper the G-Men aren't bad.
  23. Don't look now, but the Chiefs have caught fire at the perfect time. They used to struggle with the short game. Looks like they've got it down now. Mahomes right back in the MVP race from the slump earlier in the year. With Gordon and Williams, definitely the Raiders, given a choice.
  24. Tell us how you really feel. Honestly, they way they handled Yeldon last season was a red flag for me. McKenzie always seemed like a guy you'd want to have involved in the offense, given his speed. It was frustrating to only see him do jet sweeps.
