I wouldn't short change Foles or Wentz here. Carson was the clear front-runner for MVP in 2017. He was playing great!
I actually didn't watch Super Bowl LII because I couldn't stomach another Patriots/Brady win. That's how much faith I had in Foles. He could have collapsed under the pressure, but instead rose to the occasion and won the Super Bowl, out-dueling Tom Brady. I don't believe the Eagles win that game with "MVP" Wentz at QB instead of Foles.
I'm not worried about the offense here as much as I'm worried about the defense vs NE's rushing attack.
They're too much for Mac Jones, but Damien Harris is like a hot knife through butter. In 2 games, 28 carries for 214 yards and 4 TDs. A 7.64 ypc average. That's worrisome.
I would hope Reich is smart enough to swing for the fences or stand pat. Trubisky is a lateral move.
They'd be better off going after Matt Ryan in a trade.
I hate the 18 game schedule and the additional playoff slot, but I have to admit that I love that there's going to be a Monday Night Wild Card game.
That's pretty cool.
Without question, I'd rather the Bills play the Patriots. Always go with the lesser evil at QB, particularly when that QB has Austin Ekeler, Keenan Allen, Mike Williams and other very good role players.
