Matt Patricia, Eric Mangini, Romeo Crennel, etc have all been successful in NE. That's not saying much, particularly when we've already seen part 1 & 1/2 of McDaniels as a head coach.

The Packers would be wise to trade both and re-tool...or they can be stubborn and look like the Falcons in a year or 2.

I'm not predicting anything. I'm just saying not to take this recent success for granted. There's no guarantee that this team will continue to get better or that McDermott's questionable coaching in big spots will improve.

They won a lot of games because of Aaron Rodgers. Ted Thompson was a notoriously cheap GM who didn't believe in spending money in FA to help build the roster and they held on to Mike McCarthy for about 3-4 seasons longer than they should have. Imagine a scenario where the Bills do something like this every year, failing to reach the Super Bowl while Allen plays his ass off. That's wasteful.

Failing to have a solid running game for him to lean on, porous defenses and bad coaching.

Green Bay wasted a large portion of Aaron Rodgers career. Dan Marino has stated several times how he always thought he'd get another shot at winning a Super Bowl. After the playoff drought, no one should be taking this recent success for granted. Nothing is promised in this league.

I fail to understand how the stats are misleading. The game is 60 minutes and Hill and Kelce showed up when it counted.

OP's point is well taken. Hebert and Burrow are only going to get better. It ain't going to get any easier for Buffalo in the future. Take a look at Cinci's, LA's and KC's skill position players. The Bills have some work to do.

I was for the touch back as well. I did not want special teams to muck it up and allow a TD on the return or even great field position.

This "#1 defense" allowed 42 points in the biggest game of the year. I trust Beane to make the necessary adjustments when they're needed.

You're not wrong, but I don't think the time to fire McDermott is just yet. If anything, Beane is pretty sharp. He's done a great job assembling this squad, sees what's going on and will make the move when he feels he has to. Thinking on it overnight, I'm almost sure of it.

How many years did Bill Cowher get? I think McDermott is here for the long haul, regardless of Super Bowl victories or appearances.

This kind of a loss can be absolutely deflating to a team. We'll see how they respond, but I feared this kind of thing from McDermott and company.
