  1. They’re doing their best on WGR to play up Nyheim Hines speed factor like he’s a breakaway runner. Saying he moves like a WR. I think he moves like a scat back, or as Chan Gailey would say - a water bug. Saying he take it to the house whereas Singletary gets caught. This is not Reggie Bush at USC. He’s an upgrade over Zack Moss, but I’d rather see the Bills continue to Singletary and Cook as the primary runners.
  2. We could also check some Cleveland and Detroit drafts and see some bad ones.
  3. 31-13 Bills. I think the Bills offense and defense play to their season averages. Allen is just playing too well to be outdone by Zach Wilson. I expect results out of this Bills offense, their unit is intact.
  4. 1 carry, 3 yards 2 catches, 8 yards I don't care about punt and kick-off returns, he's not taking one to the house anyways.
  5. Yeah, the one poster said it well on here "we've gotten a lot of mileage out Hyde and Poyer" I think we're seeing that Safety goes near the top of the list for next year. You can't depend on 30+ year olds in the Playoffs. They'll both be 32 next season, and nothing against them, but they're starting to break down.
  6. The offense is intact, so if we have to outscore them, go that route. This game might be too early, but I'm very interested in the rotation of Singletary, Hines and Cook. Beane said Cook's role isn't going to be dialed back with Hines, but we've seen this before in Buffalo with Lynch, Spiller, Fred. It's hard to get three RB's the ball. The Chiefs right now probably do it the best with Pacheco, McKinnon and Edwards-Helaire. But usually that means that one of those players go off, while the others sit. We read all summer how RBs will be split out, and Cook was on that 41-yarder, just have to see how consistent the Bills get with this. Also, the Sunday Night game proved that good things happen when Cook is just handed the ball. Sal C keeps pushing this notion that his skill set is catching passes. He was productive at both in Georgia.
  7. 2010 Buffalo was pretty bad: Spiller Troup Carrington Marcus Easley Ed Wang Arthur Moats Danny Batten Levi Brown Kyle Calloway and 2011 was horrible as well. 2010 - 2016 were complete wastes.
  8. Listened to it. Beane at the mic is so smooth and willing to answer questions. I really appreciate his style. I'm happy that on paper the Bills are not going to banish James Cook. Sal C has floated this idea constantly about trust and it doesn't make any sense. Cook has largely produced when given touches. So it was good to hear that Beane said he isn't going to come off the field immediately so Hines can take his role. Now, will the Bills Coaching Staff actually follow through? Not totally sold on that. I listened to it and McKenzie's name never came up. Closest he got was Shakir's role as a WR becoming more dedicated, because now he won't the the punt returner. And that Hines can play slot WR for "one game" if needed.
  9. If that’s true then why was Zack Moss ever on the field for the Bills. But I guess that’s how you get to Frank Gore playing over Singletary in a Playoff game or Emmanuel Sanders starting over Gabe Davis.
  10. The Bills will never tell you why, but assume this is true, I don’t know how any regular fan could deduce that the Bills would be waiting for Cook to develop when he’s produced good numbers when given more than 1-snap a game. He had 76 yards on 6 touches the other night not in garbage time. And the two in the backfield wouldn’t be the staple, I was just thinking as a wrinkle. Another wrinkle would be Hines and Cook wide, with Singletary in the backfield, a lot Motions you could do. But I see your point, McKenzie or Shakir in the slot is more dangerous, but then you’re right back to dump off passes.
  11. Ok. So a redundant player to Cook and Duke Johnson it is then. Happy Moss is gone, not sad about the cost, just not sure how he is different or an upgrade over Cook. I guess under this response, stick him in the backfield and have him block, or dump it off to him for the same 7-yard gain that Singletary would have given you.
  12. If we actually saw creativity from NFL Coordinators that would be one thing. A true rotation of Singletary, Hines, Cook, two in the backfield, RBs motioning wide, direct snaps, etc. But we never see that in real life. The Browns can’t figure out how to put Chubb and Hunt in the backfield at the same time, Walker was a backup in Seattle until Penny got hurt, the Bills didn’t use Spiller for 2 years until Fred got hurt. NFL Coordinators pick one guy, and everyone else just subs in for breather touches. I think Cook gets phased out immediately and I have no idea why. Nothing in Hines game-logs or overall stats screams anything more than average NFL scatback. Maybe he ran a 4.38, but that was 4.5 years and a bad concussion ago.
  13. Can't complain about this. Needed a Safety, a got one that knows the system cheap. No issues here.
  14. Cook is averaging 5.5 ypc and 15 ypc on a handful of catches. So not sure how arrived at this conclusion. Cook was a 2nd Round pick, and outside of his fumble against the Rams, he looks like he belongs. In a vacuum, if you just made him the starter today, and gave him 14 carries like Singletary got against the Packers, I think he'd be fine. I think he'd average +4 ypc and look like an NFL player. I don't understand why the Bills are rolling Cook out so slowly. Congrats to them for figuring out Moss was useless, but Hines comes in and plays above Cook right away? Not sure the reasoning on this.
  15. I have no problem with the trade compensation, but I don't understand why the Bills would view Hines as better than Cook. Neither Singletary or Cook catch the ball all that often in this offense, and both Singletary and Cook are ~ 5 yards/carry back.
  16. No problem. I'm with you, Chubb is a good DE, but DE's don't change the betting line more than a point or two. JJ Watt in his prime was worth 1-point. And I think Jeff Wilson is better than Chase Edmunds, who has flopped every time he is tried as a #1 back. To me the Dolphins are somewhat better today, but they don't go from a 10 win team to a 12 win team based off this, and we have a good enough line to block Chubb.
  17. Look at my posts MJS, NEVER SAID THAT. Go to my member page, NEVER SAID THAT.
  18. Zack Moss is gone, and that by itself it a WIN for the Bills. That said, I'm not sure why Cook isn't the Bills answer at RB2 though. Commentators, this team, makes it sound like a science project to figure out how to use him. The other night against Green Bay, they just handed it to him in the middle of the game (not in garbage time) and he was fine, ran for 35 yards. So I'm not understanding why the Bills have been so relentless in their determination to get another pass catching back.
  19. Didn't say that MJS. But a starting DE and a pretty good RB makes them better. Wilson has done well when Mitchell and Mostert were out in San Francisco.
  20. Not a shock with McDaniels running the show. Dolphins have gotten better, I like Jeff Wilson.
  21. Broncos can’t afford him must be, but all they do well in 2022 is defend.
  22. Missing piece, yes if DE was weighted the same as QB then yes it’s the missing piece.
