  1. You know how Buffalo works- every QB who stumbles onto the roster deserves his chance to prove he is not the next Tom Brady. Levi Brown, Jeff Tuel, Brian Brohm they all deserved their shot and didn't get a fair shake.
  2. That's what McDermott wants. 100% lunchpail guys. "Outworking" people and watching tape to correct mistakes.
  3. What a horrible signing by the Bills, just made no sense.
  4. The Bills will be scouring the league for street free agent cornerbacks at some point this season.
  5. I agree. McDermott rambling on and on about leadership and character and brotherhood. We tried that before remember? With Chris Kelsay and Ryan Denney and Keith Ellison kind of lunchpail, high motor guys. Doesn't work.
  6. That's what Marv and Jauron were building as GM/Coach respectively.
  7. I think McBean wants what Marv/Levy wanted. Safe, lunch pail guys who try to squeak games out with field position and lucky bounces. Waiting for the other team to make a mistake.
  8. That's how a good percentage of Bills fans think. Any old QB who wanders in off the street deserves his shot to prove he isn't the guy. Think the fans who pushed Brian Brohm or Jeff Tuel.
  9. No. If Whaley escapes Manuel because he wasn't technically the GM yet, then he doesn't get credit for Hughes. Besides even if you give him credit for Hughes, it would be like putting a cherry on top of a poop sundae. Nothing Whaley did has worked or had any longevity to it.
  10. So far McDermott's offensive philosophy looks like Dick Jauron. The talent level is low, the line is bad in pass protection, the WRs are mediocre, leaning on one 29 year old RB.
  11. They are undoing everything that Whaley was a part of outside of McCoy. For all those fans who chastised other Bills fans over the poor job that Whaley did, he literally has the Eagles calling him and asking if the Bills wanted McCoy as the one thing he did to make the Bills better. And maybe you throw in there Richie Incognito.
  12. It's a great point. Totally agree. We saw that in Buffalo with EJ Manuel. Had the FO known 4 games sooner that EJ was not an NFL QB, they could have drafted Derek Carr. Instead we've been promoting and trying to develop other people's backups since (Orton, Tyrod).
  13. This is a world where once it becomes public, the outrage that follows is enormous. You can't make mistakes and missteps in this world with how connected everything is.
  14. I think they are smart. Why waste any more time of Osweiler or Kessler? Neither one of those guys are Playoff QBs.
  15. I like Hurns, only issue is concussions. But you could get him for a 7th.
  16. Go back to the 1990s uniforms with the red helmets. Every uniform since then has looked cheap, including their current jerseys.
  17. Some fans are so desperate that they latch onto any QB that walks through the door. It's amazing to me that a 5th Rounder already warrants time with the ones according to Bills fans. Any old QB who walks in off the street immediately deserves his shot to prove he's the guy....
  18. Yeah I would say McCoy pulls his hammy or Cordy Glenn gets hurt in the first game and has to go on IR.
  19. John Murphy: He wasn't going to have a large role anyways. Everyone knows the preaseason depth chart doesn't mean anything. Besides we get Jordan Matthews back, who is in elite company through his first 3 years. The lockeroom has 100% faith in McDermott. Donald Jones: You're right Murph. Everyone freaking out, people don't understand this is a process, it takes time. But as Marv said 900 years ago, if you listen to the fans someday you'll be sitting next to them.
  20. McDermott told you: Be physical, it's Buffalo, run the ball, get into 3rd and short. It's the Jauron, Marrone, Rex approach all over again. Pretend it's 1970, sign two Full Backs and smash your opponent into oblivion. Oh and play an outdated Tampa-2 defense as well with Leslie Frazier and "zone" corners. Oughta work great.
  21. Russ Brandon loves fans like you. "Reasonably successful" Football might as well be Quantum Physics for the guys running the Bills. Another Bills Coaching Staff is trying to win the 1970's way and just run over people with 29-year old McCoy and no proven backup.
