When you honestly thought the Cano trade couldn’t look worse I just saw this about Anthony Swarzak

He has a 0.58 ERA in his last 15 innings with the Braves. Would be the #1 guy in the bullpen pitching like he is
I mean not trying to be rude but week 17 can very well just give us an advantage of not picking higher in the draft and nothing else.
The Jets game to me is 50/50. Plus I think Rich Kotite might have been the last coach over there that didn’t win on his 1st game coaching.
Breaking the drought pretty much bought him three years to do his thing or trust the process so to speak.
Hes not going to get fired this year but I do think he’s under the microscope a little more this year vs last
I actually woke up this morning feeling awful for Mickey. I thought his tantrum might have actually gotten him some respect but it looks like it’s made things worse. Between what looked like a forced apology and everyone from Terry Collins chiming in to criticize.
Yes as a manager his decision making is all fair game for criticism. However I’ve always looked at him as a decent guy who earned the right to have one tantrum like that and get the benefit of the doubt.
I say just do him a favor at this point fire him
while preserving his dignity. Put him out of his misery.
Who didn’t see a Bruce homer coming when he stepped up to the plate. This very well may have been the Mets worst day this year when all is said and done. I’m counting all the off field distractions as well.
Agree with you guys I say good for Mickey. There’s only so much a man can take Especially if he’s being forced to go with the flow on some of these recent decisions.
Btw, anyone now what this pitching strategist job responsibilities are?
I mean is anyone really surprised at the result today when we cling to a 1 run lead late in games?
Have a bad feeling the team is going to be just want the Phillies want to see to break out of their present funk
Well I said in the sentence before sports reporting went downhill.
I was trying to suggest these networks feel the need to resort to that sort of nonsense to attract viewers.
Let see how good you guys are with former Mets. The guy on the left in the photo below is an ex Met. He’s a friend of a co worker whose a friend... If I told you his name you’d probably remember him.
I think once the internet happened a lot of sports reporting went downhill ex: SportsCenter. It’s like these networks had to figure out ways to make the reporting entertaining since you can get the scores anywhere.
It keeps getting worse to the point it’s like watching cartoons with sports reporting but imo that’s where it started
I didn't actually see today's game but by looking at the box score I'm half tempted to post in row's always something new to see thread, the bullpen actually did their job!
