  1. I will save it for a rainy day 😊. I do remember one asking about nightmare college professor stories posters had here
  2. Was never a Cosby Show Fan but I get that. Especially if you actually did meet him. I used to look up to Eddie Winslow on Family Matters a lot as a kid. And in some way I dreamed of going through the TV to be his friend then.
  3. It’s funny my Chemistry teacher in high school was really the first person in my life to really sort of nudge me along. She thought I could do better than getting a C in her class. All these years later I remember next to none of her actual lessons. But I still think of her when I need that extra push. She seemed really tough at the time but now looking back not so much. I still think of her when I might need that kind of kick in the backside at times.
  4. I think it’s safe to say the majority of people won’t use most math they learn in school in real life above Algebra. Anything though you still use to this day? For me it’s the No Free Lunch concept in basic economics. Everything comes at a cost. I still think this. On another note another lesson was my 6th grade basketball coach in school. He got really angry once at someone who he thought asked him a stupid question. So when he calmed down more he didn’t actually apologize but he did say look in life there’s good and bad times to approach people. Don’t do it when someone’s in a bad mood. Even though I wound up leaving that team his advice still out almost 30 years later. I think a lot of problems can be avoided if people just aren’t so abrupt a lot of times.
  5. @BillsPride12 double nostalgia on this one. The NHL on Fox commercial that the 90210 one. Ginger was Valerie's best friend from Buffalo as well! The girl she was calling the night she 1st meet the Walsh's that exposed her personality
  6. @Gugny @SinceThe70s @ExWNYer Pretty good tribute to David on Saturday. Can tell how much that day meant to him. The Mets got the win today but something just feels a little off about the team. Like last year the whole Grimace thing took on a life of its own. That and the OMG performance. That brought the team together. They don't seem to have that intangible. But then again I'm not there and have no idea...... I was very surprised to learn David was such a prankster! I just kinda always had the image of him as a goodie two shoes. But hey he needed outlets somewhere.
  7. I tend to think Freeman McNeil was the most underrated running back of the 80s/early 90's.... I would say he was a just cut below Thurman. Thurman at least made the HOF. It's funny today I still thought about Super Bowl 25! Must be a Bills fan thing to still sort of think of what could have..... But then I thought if they win that game would history have changed where Josh Allen wouldn't have become a Bill?
  8. This "couple" should win a Noble Peace Prize. They have done the most in uniting Americans about anything in a long time...... even if it's laughing at them!
  9. Talk about a Coldplay! I thought at first this would be a couple exposed for doing more than just kissing.
  10. The flip side to this, my mom had her workout videos..... she was actually 43 in the scene below back in the early 80s I get why people don't like her but she was a babe IMO
  11. Godfather 1 and 2 Animal House Home Alone The Breakfast Club
  12. Summer even though our area has had some extreme weather of late
  13. Something like that happened to me at my job recently. I recognized someone from my high school one day was there. My 1st reaction was kinda negative, while I never really had a problem with this particular person his best friend back in the day I really really despised. I thought he was just a nasty POS kid. But that was over 20 years ago and if the situation presented itself again I think I would at the very least introduce myself. That would be on him how he reacts.
  14. I had on 90s on 9 today, I listen to that channel quite a bit. They were going through the #1 songs this week in 1997. His song I'll be Missing You was the #1 and yeah even as a 13 year old that song was inescapable. They did not play it though. Guess if nothing else his music is being cut
  15. I'm kind of the opposite. I wanted nothing to do with most people I went to high school with and alienated myself to an unhealthy degree in college trying to rid that experience to an extent. So yeah the idea of a reunion never would have appealed to me. Approaching 25 years sooner vs later (wow) the idea does appeal a little to me more now but it will still probably be a no. But yeah I do live in nostalgia so maybe it'd be worth going back to be like yeah thing's weren't all that great back then as well. haha
  16. Yeah I think in general the human mind like isn't built to be reflective and appreciate the past kind of thing in the current moment. I know before the AFC Championship Game last year I really got like no enjoyment starting a day after the Bills beat the Ravens. It was more just the feeling of anxiety vs being able to enjoy the game/season.
  17. I think that’s normal in a way. If the team isn’t performing you sort of look at the whole complete roster and ways they can improve.
  18. I def remember you writing up some pretty good detailed summaries of the games from those 2009-2015 years. Maybe because I had been away from fandom a number of years before then but I was back with full passion and drank the KoolAid. I’ll always say 2012 was the most disappointing season of fandom in my life. Just in the huge gap where I thought the team could finish and where they actually wound up.
  19. Funny you ask/mention this. A former boss and friend bought some property down in very South Jersey by the shore. I think he’s transitioning toward retiring/living down there, But then he asked me to down there as well. Which I’m just like retired life must be nice. Lol. It’s like over 2 hours from where I live.
  20. Or every year since you’ve become a fan it’s been the same amount of passion every year? From 2001-2006 I did fall a bit of Bills fandom/following the team. Largely a result of being in college those years and not really much stood out from the team. Just in retrospect Drew Bledsoe from memory.
  21. @Gugny @SinceThe70s @ExWNYer Had on WFAN this morning. Listened to lots of unhappy Yankees fans calling in. Especially with Boone. I think this was a point Gugny has made over the years but the Yankees aren't ever winning a World Series with him as manger. A seemingly decent guy but not a championship type manager. The rivalry between the Yanks/Mets to me isn't really that big a thing anymore. I looked at the series as more important to the Mets as getting back on winning track vs NYC bragging rights. In the past I admit I wouldn't have saw the series like that. No biggie on today's game. The Yankees really needed it more than the Mets to win. I liked that Mendoza got thrown out there at the end. I'm a fan of managers making scenes like that every now and then if they feel they're being screwed over. So be it it's not like every day. Then the outbursts lose their meaning.
  22. Brooke Shields was great in That 70s Show in the few episodes she was in
  23. Danny Devito as Frank Reynolds in Sunny in Philadelphia I remember being locked down with Covid during the pandemic and still lost it laughing at this
  24. The 12th man or crowd I think played a large part in intimidating Denver. I would say that was the good old days but the Bills went 10-0 at home last year. It's a very intimidating place to play for opponents I think. See if the new Bills Stadium has that affect on opponents Yep lol. And only negative to 51-3 was he missed a field goal wide right that day as well
