  1. It’s almost 2 months removed at this point. I think it’s a fair question It was the most anxious I ever was involving a sporting event. That whole weekend I was thinking about it. So part of me was relieved when it was over. But make no mistake I was disappointed as well. Couldn’t even watch the Super Bowl. At least for me time made it a little easier to get over from my perspective: The Chiefs got smacked in the Super Bowl, realizing as well the Bills probably wouldn’t have won the game if they got in, and Josh winning the MVP made the loss easier to digest. Im optimistic going forward. Go Bills
  2. I have to admit I don't remember him very much as a player
  3. Rick Aguilera- he happened to have the same last name of a singer I had a big crush on as a teenager
  4. I remember toward the end of his career he was with the Mets in 2009. The team was so bad that year I remember Gary may very well have led the team in home runs with a whopping 10
  5. Ryan Klesko- he was one of the few players I can remember that had a good deal of success vs Mariano Rivera. Even though there's a famous clip of Mariano breaking his bat 3 times in one at bat. I do remember him well after baseball starting testing for steroids this dude happened to look like he lost at least 30 lbs. He was a good hitter though
  6. Someone from high school who never heard the name Horace in his infinite wisdom thought it sounded like wh0re ass
  7. Same deal…. Steve Balboni. he used to be a customer of a former business I worked at
  8. Opening day in baseball season. more to me it symbolizes spring is here. Plus I remember watching a Yankee home opener as a middle schooler when it was snowing. There was something very cool about that.
  9. He was no doubt a great underrated player in his day. There are though unfortunately some stories about him recently though that aren’t flattering in the slightest as a human being
  10. Was on Gaga Radio today. never heard the song before. It's pretty cool!
  11. Guess it’s not this one https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gugny
  12. It seems Josh might be one of them. Like me it seems ancestry wise he’s a mix of a lot of things https://ethnicelebs.com/josh-allen
  13. My mom has some. I always thought it was more. 2 of her great grandparents I’m told were from there. Happy St Pats ☘️🇮🇪
  14. With all due respect why? They helped break the playoff drought. I thought they were pretty classy about the Hamlin situation and if they didn’t beat the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game a few years ago…. The Chiefs would have tied the Bills Super Bowl consecutive appearance record
  15. Wow. I always thought they had a prior reputation as being a cheap franchise
  16. Wasn't Covid what stopped your "friend" from visiting?
  17. was a funny song in its day
  18. Pretty sure there’s countless threads dedicated to her here
  19. pretty good 60 Minutes piece on him. His wife is a saint
  20. It feels like it’s been longer. i tend to think society was trending towards all this online work and meetings. Covid just sped it up
  21. I came back to this post again. I had a talk or more like B.S ing with the bartender. They used to serve food and meals there at one time but this tavern it sounds like it was too much work overtime to store food and what not. Then another local bar there closed because the owner died. i guess it depends on the neighborhood…. But yeah some places it’s not what it was kinda thing
  22. Something of a complement to that other thread. I went to Katonah Pizza yesterday in the Woodlawn Heights part of the Bronx. I was there years ago and remember it being real good. Went there yesterday and it did not disappoint at all. To me it had the all makings: Thin curst Generous size portions Oily but not like real oily or greasy Served at just the right temperature. Warm but doesn't burn my mouth And how it digests in my stomach at my age plays a big part as well. I have a sensitive stomach. The fact it didn't turn me into a gas/fart machine minutes later tells me it was real good. A modest place but that place is the real deal.
  23. Spring Training- it's more just exciting to me to see baseball being played again and the end of winter. I've never really looked too deeply into it. After the Mets started so poor last year and brought it the rest of the year I can't get too wrapped into it. I mean at least that's how I look at it. Misterbluesky was the poster on these old threads that would get stressed out watching Spring Training games. I miss him
