  1. The trade up seems a bit light on our behalf (thinking it will take more) and I think regardless of what the QB's name is, were taking whatever is left of Darnold, Rosen, or Allen at this spot
  2. Pretty sure they both had quite a bit of success with a QB that wouldn't be described as your typical "drop back" QB. just sayin
  3. honestly though... who the #@## blows lines and orders a pizza?
  4. Mason Cole - OL - Michigan Trey Quinn - WR - SMU Foley Fatuksasi - DT - UCONN Brett Taylor - LB - Western Illinois Justin Crawford - RB - WV
  5. Wasn't Schatz one of the few analysts that went out on a limb by saying Russel Wilson should be a 1st round draft pick?
  6. how did the pre draft profiles of the 2004 QB draft class stack up to the current draft profiles of the QB's in this years draft
  7. Drafting a QB high this year was the purpose of trading KC our pick last year.
  8. didn't Drew freaking Brees just get 25per for 2 years!?!?!?!?! And Bradford gets 20!?!?!?
  9. how can anyone be upset about this signing. Our run defense was putrid after it was obvious to Dareus that he was on the outside looking in. Both Beane and McDermott know exactly what they're getting in Lutulelei. Beane has made it a point to shed the large contracts of unproductive players that don't fit the process. So I trust that this is a good move for the organization, regardless of contract size.
  10. I think we can all agree that were drafting a QB somewhere in the 1st round, so I just wanted to share what I think is some of the better video reviews of the top prospects. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCj-49LnrWljGJwEJ5LqWLvw I'm not going to post all the different links, just search through this guys channel if you're interested
  11. I just don't get it.... am I crazy? The Vikings have 3 serviceable QB's and Keenum literally caught fire in there system. Yet they're the team that signs the top QB in free agency..??
  12. if he had a lower center of gravity, could keep his pads down... why not. But really he's a straight line runner that runs standing, literally straight up. O how combine numbers shine a piece of $#$#
  13. Pete Metzelaars. I just remember him being a giant lumbering TE that wouldn't win any races but was a power house as a run blocker and a reliable safety valve in the passing game. Always got excited when he grabbed a reception.
  14. is he shooting fade away jump shots or throwing a football?
  15. Snag Keenum in FA. Keenum wasn't even drafted. He came into the league as an UDFA, and bounced around practice squads for a few years, but never gave up. He worked his ass off to get where he is. This paired with his success in Minnesota will surely endear him to McDermott and Beane. Keenum has also played in Dennison's system when they were both with the Texans, so he's already familiar with the offense. Then I'd say draft Mayfield to hold the clipboard for a couple seasons. I'll admit I'm a fan of his but thats not the only reason im a proponent of drafting him. I really don't like the idea of trading away any of our extra picks in rounds 1-3 to move up the board and get a QB. We have a lot of positions that need to be upgraded on both sides of the ball and wagering precious draft picks on the success of a Rookie QB has always seemed crazy to me. I think Mayfield will be available in the late 1st round and maybe early in the 2nd. Mayfield character issues don't necessarily scream that he's a McDermott / Beane type of guy, but he is the first walk-on true freshman quarterback to start a season opener at a BCS school. At the least this shows resilience and work ethic, similar traits that have Keenum in the position he's in now. Theyre both Texas boys and Mayfield grew up watching Keenum play for the University of Houston, which happens to be his parents Alma Mater. Maybe McDermott and Beane think that Keenum is the perfect player as well as the right person to mentor Mayfield in his first few years in the NFL
  16. This is exactly how I feel. I bet the whole WR core for the Steelers would have made that hit with no regrets at all
  17. decisive, and cuts it loose with velocity and accuracy. I'm cautiously excited, and not overly optimistic. But it was time. If he chucks 200-250 for 2td's and 2 int's and we win.... id be happy
  18. this. I know its a cliche but games are won and lost here. And we were dominated on both sides of the ball
  19. not surprising really. I mean he did win the Mackey award
