I have to admit, in the back of my mind I was almost hoping E.J sharted the bed when he came in the game. A large presumptuous smile spread across my face as I daydreamed about all the throws into the dirt, sacks, and just down right awful QB play. Then when I came to .... he was 8 for 8! Channel. Changed>
Tyrod and Shady did just enough but our defense is what is going to win us games. Tyrod reversed field on a bootleg and dropped a !@#$ing dime on Clay, while on the run mind you. I don't even think 1/2 the starting QB's in the league could make that play
Tyrod, Shady, Glenn, Incognito, Matthews, Clay, Kyle, Preston, White, Hyde..... If any of those players are cut, it would be a surprise to me. In my mind everyone else is fair game
The only way Peterman is thought of as the QB to build around is if Tyrod goes down early (week 3-5) and Peterman takes us past the 1st round of the playoffs
while I'm not overly optimistic as to what the Chiefs record ends up being in regards to what position in next years draft the trade will garner us. We plugged the hole left by Gilmore with a high character / quality player and basically gave ourselves the opportunity to go up and grab whoever we want in next years draft. Although we didn't gain any ground on the defensive front this year, we definitely made a step in the right direction in the grand scheme of things
not so sure we spend a 3rd on RB, and I think thats where Perine gets picked. I think Corey Clements out of Wisconsin would be a good fit. I believe we'll be running a lot of plays out of "heavy" formations and Wisconsin does a ton of this. Clements could be had in the 5-6
if Zay Jones is available for us in the 2nd and we haven't picked a WR yet I believe he will absolutely be the pick given the connection he has with current Bills WR coach McGeoghan
have you looked at the track record for big ten runningbacks though? aside from a handful Leveon Bell, Eddie George, Tyrone Wheatley, and Elliot the ones that put up good numbers in college really haven't fared well in the NFL. Or i'm completely off my rocker
ugggghhhhhh, good point. Odd to attribute so many runningbacks short comings in the NFL to the conference they came from but, you cant argue with history
I think if they were to draft a runningback late, Corey Clement would be a good fit. Already is accustom to running out of power sets, and looks to be a one cut / downhill runner with a bit of speed combined with power. Not sure we'll go with Connor because he's a battering ram similar to Tolbert

This guy seems like a player McDermott would covet in the latter rounds of the draft. Character. Effort. Potential.
I just don't think there is anyway that if we take a late round flyer on a QB it isn't Chad Kelly. Not saying thats what i want but what 5-6 round pick could create more buzz within the media, and amoung fans during preseason
