is jonathan williams next? - update: now cut
Watkins90 replied to ronnieroscoe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's not insane to expect them to inherit someone else's roster, especially one that had the potential to be in the playoffs. Haven't we said before that good coaches are able to adapt tot he personnel they have? Why couldn't McDermont adapt? I'm not saying completely change his philosophy, but he these guys took a borderline playoff team, that many felt coaching held back, and completely blew it up. There have been plenty of examples of teams getting rid of coaches, not blowing up the roster and then making the playoffs the next year and for years to come. -

Beane is really turning this entire roster over. The gut that may be left by 2018 is Dareus and that's because he comes with such a big cap hit; otherwise, he'd probably be gone, as well. I wouldn't be surprised if Bills trade McCoy before the trading deadline to acquire extra picks. Tyrod could be on the trading block, as well if he doesn't perform early on. Either way. It is going to be at least a couple years of more hardship, and that's if Beane is able to draft well. We have no clue. He certainly is putting all his eggs in one basket, but ****, if "his" team isn't performing by year four we are looking at a quarter century without the playoffs. It just doesn't make sense to me. We have been mediocre the last couple of seasons, 7-9 and 8-8. A couple things go our way and were probably in the playoffs? Why blow a roster like that up? Why not try and make some tweaks to get over the hump rather than starting from square one? Oh well, here is to another long season and the race to the #1 pick. :cheers Game on JETS, game on. -
The former Hawkeye has two picks this preseason.

Brandon gets an excellent for me, as long as he is staying away from personnel decisions. Otherwise, he is a fantastic marketer. -
But, I'd really like to see Peterman take some first-team reps in our next preseason game. Let's see what the kid has.

Sweet. I'll def be signing up for a pass then tonight!! Thanks so much!!

No one can help a fellow board member out?

I know that all preseason games are live, but can you go back to the beginning of a game while it's still live, or do you have to wait for it to be over? I'm busy at 6 central when it comes on, but will be home by eight. So, if I could restart the game to the beginning, that'd be awesome.

That's weird. Because Joe B. keeps saying how much he stinks and is falling down the depth chart. That he hasn't been better than Tanner V., who was drafted in the round after him.

Could the coaches be asking players to push Jerry's buttons one purpose? They know he is an emotional player, so there trying to push him and use it as learning tools?

What if the Bills wanted to see Just truly how good Sammy is. They stuck him on an incompetent team to see if he could produce. If he does, they shell out big bucks to bring him back.

I didn't hear Zay Jones named called once

I just wished he would have been targetted more. I haven't seen the all-22 tape to see whetehr or not Tyrod just didn't see him open, or if play progression just didn't go his way. I don't, he was just one of the guys I was hoping to keep an eye on during the game. I wanted to see something from him. Yes, I doubjle posted by acciednt. My bad. I do apologize for that. -
Now, I live in Iowa. So I had to listen to the idiotic Minnesota broadcast, but I don't think Jones had a mention other than the fact that his brother players for the Vikings. Overall, I thought first team offense played well. Stupid penalties killed a great start for TT and Watkins. Williams looked nice running the ball. Peterman impressed at some points and looked like a completely rookie in other aspects. Defense looked nasty, getting after the ball and making gang tackles. Overall, good first preseason game for the Bills.

[closed]Trade Reggie? Killing his value?
Watkins90 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You have to remember that Ragland is basically a rookie. He is in a whole new defense, different from the one he spent learning while sidelined with an ACL. We don't know anything about the kid. I think he will be fine. Give it some time, you just don't drop unproven players that young. -
Bills Release 1st Unofficial Depth Chart
Watkins90 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Can I just say how terrible the depth chart looks on the Bills website. It is almost impossible to read some of the names because they go under graphics and adds. Get your **** together Bills IT. -

That's not how headlines work. There supposed to draw you into clicking the thread, which this one clearly did. -
leaked their draft board to us. The final post on this page and a couple on the other page claim this. I don't get where the collusion comes in. Did we take a player they really wanted? http://www.carolinahuddle.com/boards/topic/138272-surprise-brandon-beane-is-now-the-bills-gm/

I'm really holding out hope for Adams to drop to 10. How sweet would that be.
