  1. Jordan Reid@JReidNFL Just to put Ed Oliver’s 4.19 short-shuttle time into perspective, here’s some other notable results: 4.18 – Antonio Brown 4.19 -- Ed Oliver 4.19 – DeSean Jackson 4.24 – Saquon Barkley 4.24 – Le’Veon Bell 4.25 – Julio Jones 4.39 – Aaron Donald 4.40 -- Devin Singletary 10:08 AM - Mar 28, 2019 Twitter Ads info and privacy Cat like quickness for a 290 lb man. Over 110 lbs heavier than Desean Jackson and Antonio Brown. Incredible. Here is a comparison with Donald, they are about the same ht wgt and arm length. 40-yard dash 3-cone Short shuttle Vertical Broad Bench Donald 4.68s 7.11s 4.39s 32″ 116″ 35 reps Oliver 4.73s 7.15s 4.19s 36″ 120″ 32 reps
  2. Hakeem Butler will be a star imo. Nothing against Singletary or Knox and I am hoping they both turn out to be awesome picks, but I think front offices were wrong to pass on Butler in the 3rd round. Also every big board I could find had him higher than both of those guys, I am sure there were boards like Buffalo's that didn't but I couldn't find them. I am happy with the Bills draft and this is not a complaint but GMs are wrong a lot and the fact that they pass on players is not an indication or proof that they were right to do so. I understand the rosterability part, but the Bills don't have any 6'5" 230 lb 4.48 40 wrs who led the nation in 20+ yd receptions. Hoping we get lucky, solid strategy.?
  3. I predict the Jets offensive line will suck, Bell will be ineffective and start throwing the line and organization under the bus by midseason. The Jets will be stuck with an unhappy, overpaid primadonna rb. Glad the Bills stayed away from him and Brown, too much ego.
  4. Wow, awesome deflection by Backes.
  5. Just tuned in, cmon Blue Jackets. That sounds kinda stupid, what a ***** name. Can't stand the ***** Bruins.
  6. Seeing the difference on draft night between him and Q Williams was a striking contrast to me. Williams looked like an overgrown youngster with a lot of baby fat still on him, Oliver looked like a grown man that moved like a cat.
  7. I expect the Chiefs and the Steelers to not be as good as last year. Same for the Ravens and I also think that Houston has a tough schedule and their record will suffer as well. Chargers Colts Patriots and the Steelers or Browns are division favorites I think. 9-7 or 10-6 will win the AFC North. I don't expect the Jets to make the playoffs and I think Bell will not be the same force he was in Pittsburgh. Their offensive line will be a major weakness. I think the Bills will have a shot at the playoffs if they stay healthy. The lack of elite wr talent and an aged backfield, the rookie being a ?, are a couple of concerns. All in all I think this will be the most talented team the Bills have fielded for years, just need it to come together.
  8. Looks like more dragons. That would be awesome.
  9. I think even if he is still able to play that he will face suspension by the NFL. He needs help and should not be playing anymore imo. He has had issues throughout his life but the last few years his deterioration has been pronounced. I think he is brain damaged.
  10. I know his history, but to be 26 now and say "if he can stay out of trouble" seems ridiculous to me. Just prove you can play and stay out of trouble. For him to say 'if' implies he somehow has no control of his actions.
  11. "I can play if I stay out of trouble" ??? Wtf, how old is this guy? 12? Just stay out of trouble then you idiot. Ridiculous thing to say at 26.
  12. Cool to see how they managed to get the guys they were after those first 4 or 5 picks.
  13. Not that it matters but Johnson and Joseph did not test particularly well either, Joseph's 3 cone and shuttle times were ridiculously slow. He was coming off a hamstring issue though. Johnson was slow as well, especially for his size. I understand that the game is played on the field and not at the combine workout, I am always leery of workout warriors who rocket up the board after the combine which is why I was glad the Bills were not targeting DK. Getting Oliver and Ford first 2 picks was like having two top 15 draft choices and two of my top choices. Unfolded perfectly for the Bills imo.
  14. I got to meet Jack Kemp with Elbert Dubenion and Ernie Warlick in 66 or 67 when I was around 6. My dad brought me and 3 older brothers over and introduced us. We were big fans and it was quite an honor. It was at a non football related event and they couldn't have been any nicer. I was obviously little and Ernie was like a giant. Jack had a lot of charisma, very smooth. Tim's dad Big Russ was the same age as my parents in South Buffalo and my oldest brother went to high school with Tim and hung out together in the neighborhood sometimes. Brother said he was a great guy. Good family, well liked and loved in SB. Was a shame Tim Jr. died before his dad, as did my oldest brother before my dad. Never saw my dad so heartbroken, he was generally a rock.
  15. I was merely responding to what Logic posted of the article in the OP, don't have access to that site. The excerpt struck me as defensive in nature and not overly positive, Beane used the word miss 4 times in the 4 sentences he posted about Singletary. He talks about 7 other guys and doesn't use the word again once. P.S. Personal attacks are unwarranted and don't add to the discussion. I get it. The original post was out of context.
  16. I get what he is saying about football not being played at the combine, but the quote taken alone out of context just didn't strike me as a great endorsement.
  17. Regarding Devin Singletary: “We’re still playing football. If I’m going to miss on a guy, I wantto miss on a guy that I saw being a really good football player versus a guy who I questioned his football ability but he was a really good tester. We’re all going to miss on players. I would rather miss on a guy like this." Wow, not exactly a ringing endorsement. Seems like strange reasoning for an early 3rd round pick. It's like he is already making an excuse for a pick he wasn't sure of.
  18. Turned on the Bucks Celtics 3rd qtr, Bucks go on a 24 to 2 run to take the lead from 3 to 25 and Stevens doesn't call one timeout the entire run even though he has 5. How ***** stupid.
  19. Must be a relative of the abominable snowman I'm thinking.
  20. He was actually the first 5 star recruit in history to go to a non power 5 conference team.
  21. Elmer Fudd nursing a sick Billy Buffalo with blue kool-aid. ?
  22. My cousin worked in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and the Organized Crime Task Force in the Attorney General’s Office in New York and was one of the lead investigators and prosecutors in the case against the Gambino crime family that put John Gotti away for good. They had wiretaps, video and audio surveillance of various clubs and restaurants, a confidential civilian informant and an undercover agent on the inside.
  23. Cody Ford is a beast and was a steal where the Bills got him imo. Like having 2 first round picks.
  24. Cautiously optimistic. Definitely significant improvement to the off. line, Ed Oliver will play right away and solidify the interior d. Good secondary additions. Concerned about the offensive skill positions. Yeldon has never impressed me in the least. Read a poster saying he is an elite pass catcher, he is not elite at anything. The wr room is small and lacks elite talent. The rbs are also small and lack power. I would have much preferred Spencer Ware to Yeldon. More powerful runner and good hands out of the backfield. Hope I am wrong and Allen has the weapons he needs to excel but have to admit I am a little bit skeptical at this point. Excited to see how it all comes together and definitely think they are significantly improved talent wise on both sides of the ball.
